Unable to trade SouthPark for Xbox 360

It looks like the incorrect item was added to the trade in website. Only the Grand Wizard edition is listed. I was unable to trade in the game last night as the UPC of the game is not the same as the UPC for the CE edition. Could someone please add this so I can trade the item. Thanks

Hello stoned99,
Thanks for posting regarding your South Park: The Stick of Truth trade-in attempt.  I am sorry your experience did not go as expected.
I have reviewed our listing on the trade-in site, and it appears that while the first image does display the Grand Wizard Edition, the listing itself is actually for the standard copy of the game.  This can be confirmed by searching www.BestBuy.com for the pre-owned SKU showing on the trade-in page.
The store uses a slightly different system, and it looks as though that one specifically calls out the special edition.  In truth, though, all a customer would need to trade in, even with that, is the game discs, so the store should still accept your copy of the game under that listing.  I would recommend you return and request that they complete the trade for you.  If they are concerned about the title being different, showing them the online listing may assist them in completing the trade.
Thanks again, and please let me know if you have any additional trouble with your trade.
Best regards,

  • Xbox 360 trade in for Xbox 720

    I recently purchased an Xbox 360 from the Paramus, NJ store. I was told by the sales associate that a new Xbox 720 should be on the market at some point in the next couple of years. He suggested that I purchase the Best Buy extended warranty because once the Xbox 720 comes out I could trade in my Xbox 360 for my CURRENT PURCHASE PRICE of $200 if my Xbox 360 is still under warranty and I am purchasing the Xbox 720. This sounded like a great deal and I purchased to extended warranty, but the associate was unable to show me anything in writing that confirms this. Is this true or was the associate mistaken? I know that I can trade in the Xbox 360 under the normal trade-in program, but I dont see anything about getting a credit for my current purchase price.
    Anyone know the answer to this?
    Thanks in advance.

    The associate was mistaken.

  • Amazon Q&A - E3200 - Default Nat Type for xbox 360 and ps3

    Linksys E3200 High-Performance Simultaneous Dual-Band Wireless-N Router
    the nat type for xbox 360 and ps3, what is it when you set the router up out of the box? are the nat types open moderate or strict

    Hi there. It actually depends if the gaming consoles ports are not blocked by your ISP. Moderate NAT type limits your connection playing online games, Strict does not allow you any connection at all while Open allows you to play with everyone online. Have you had a router before with Open NAT on the gaming consoles? Try to check without the router by going directly to the modem and see if your NAT type is open or strict or moderate. If ever modem is fine and it is the router not working right you can port forward ports on the router. I found these usual ports online, for XBOX live:TCP and UDP ports:  80-88, 3074-3074, 4267-4269. For PS380, 443, 3478, 3479, 3480, 5223, 8080 and UDP: 3478, 3479.

  • Unable to mount samba share file for xbox 360

    I want to be able to stream music from a directory in my arch linux computer (xfce4) to my xbox using samba on a local network using ethernet cables and a router not connected to the internet. I've been able to get samba to startup and I see the folder "share" in my network tab in thunar, but I am currentlly unable to mount that folder. I haven't been able to get the xbox to recognize my arch computer or visa versa.
    Here is the configuration I am running as of now:
    #======================= Global Settings =====================================
    [global]
    # workgroup = NT-Domain-Name or Workgroup-Name, eg: MIDEARTH
    workgroup = XBOX
    # server string is the equivalent of the NT Description field
    server string = "Samba Server"
    # Security mode. Defines in which mode Samba will operate. Possible
    # values are share, user, server, domain and ads. Most people will want
    # user level security. See the Samba-HOWTO-Collection for details.
    security = user
    [share]
    comment = music for xbox
    path = /home/ricky/Music
    browsable = yes
    guest ok = yes
    read only = yes
    create mask = 0777
    # This option is important for security. It allows you to restrict
    # connections to machines which are on your local network. The
    # following example restricts access to two C class networks and
    # the "loopback" interface. For more examples of the syntax see
    # the smb.conf man page
    I did a chmod -r 777 on the ~/Music directory already and I still haven't been able to mount it. I have read in the wiki that creating a /mnt/xboxshare directory, for example, would actually mount the share directory and allow the xbox to share. However, I would rather just use the directory I specified instead of creating another directory. Has anyone else experienced this problem or have any advice for me?
    Here is some additional information:
    I do have to input a password when I issue this command
    $ smbclient -L \\RG_ARCH
    Enter password:
    Domain=[XBOX] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 3.6.8]
    Sharename Type Comment
    share Disk music for xbox
    IPC$ IPC IPC Service ("Samba Server")
    rg Disk Home Directories
    Domain=[XBOX] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 3.6.8]
    Server Comment
    RG_ARCH Samba Server
    Workgroup Master
    XBOX RG_ARCH

    I was wondering whether it had anything to do with the network I was using. The router I am using can't access the internet and I am using the basic 192.168.1.X setup with 255.255.255.0 as the mask.
    My computer has an ip of 192.168.1.2 and the xbox has an ip of 192.168.1.3. However, I am still unable to ping the xbox or even see it show up in the network. I did notice that whenever I am using another router that is connected to the internet, I can see other windows based computers in the network tab in thunar under "windows network"
    Also, I do have a username and password associated with the samba setup.. so I assume maybe that has something do with it. I checked the permissions of the share folder and it was root:root with read and write permissions. I know samba is working fairly well.. but for whatever reason I can't get the xbox to connect even while it is on the same local network.

  • AirPort Express as a Wireless Adapter For Xbox 360 and to stream PC audio?

    Ok, so I am wondering if I can do this config with an AirPort express. I want to connect the AirPort to my existing WiFi, and be able to plug in an Ethernet cable connected to an Xbox 360 to get Xbox Live, as well as stream audio from my PC. Is this possible to do at once? Also, is it possible to stream PC audio, not just iTunes music? Thanks for your time.

    Hello podalex,
    Just an FYI for you with regard to the Airport Express:
    It is always best to check with the software manufacturer FIRST. They will tell you if they have tested the product and the version, as well as whether or not it will work with Windows 7.
    Check out the Windows 7 Compatibility site: (There you will find out about hardware and software compatibility.)
    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/en-us/default.aspx
    There is a pulldown from which you can choose "hardware" and "software".
    There are also some great articles, instructional videos and such to help with your Windows 7 at our Springboard site:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/default.aspx
    In any event a lot of the times, Vista drivers will work in lieu of Windows 7 drivers, however, it's not 100%!
    As stated previously, it's best to have the Windows 7 certified drivers installed.
    Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/w7itpro/ . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to check the threads available there for additional assitance and support.

    I am currently looking to purchase a computer monitor to play my xbox 360 on.
    My question is, what type of monitor would be the best for me to purchase? It has to have the capability of 3.5 mm stero adapter input, but I am sure that most of you already knew that . . .
    Thanks so much to anyone that can help me with this issue

    There are a large selection of monitors out there with HDMI and 1080P now. Acer and Samsung are my favorite for computer monitors.

  • Can I use a D-Link DIR-505 as a repeater just for xbox 360?

    Most people who have a Time Capsule and xbox 360 here, know the woes of trying to get them to play nice together.  I've flat out given up and wired it.  But I really would like to have it wireless.
    Has anyone tried to use this D-Link DIR-505 as a repeater and/or bridge?  Or for that matter, any other device?  The added bonus is that the signal is boosted.  I originally wanted to get an Airport Express to do this same thing, but my guess is that the internals of the AExpress and the TC are the same and I'll just end up with the same problem.
    If someone can confirm that the AExpress works with the Xbox 360, I would rather get that. I've read that Apple routers get along best with other Apple products and not as great with non-Apple products.
    Any advice would be great!
    thanks.

    You would be better off buying a new router.. eg WNDR3800 netgear.. which is fully compatible with xbox.. better wireless than the TC.. has excellent third party firmware, openwrt, gargoyle, dd-wrt.
    Bridge your TC and use it for backups.

  • Wi-Fi for Xbox 360

    I bought an Xbox 360 for my son and it has 802.11n Wi-Fi built in. When I buy a wi-fi router, should I get wirelessn or g? Or does it matter?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    N is better. It has further range, better throughput and a better connection almost always. Most routers are N now anyways.
    So yes to N.

    When you upgrade the firmware on your Router, you need to Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...
    For your XBOX you can make these changes on  yuor Router as well as on your XBOX. I think it should make the NAT Open on your XBOX.
    Open an Internet Explorer browser page on your wired computer(desktop).In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1 and press Enter...Leave Username blank & in Password use admin in lower case...
    On the set-up tab change the MTU Size to 1365 and click Save Settings...
    Click on "Administration" tab and disable the option UPnP and click Save Settings...
    Click on "Applications and Gaming" tab and then click on "Port Range Forwarding" subtab...
    1) On the first line in Application box type in ABC, in the start box type in 53 and End box type in 3074, leave the protocol as both and under ip address type in 192.168.1.20 and check the enable box, click Save Settings once done...
    2) Once you return to the set up page click on the Security tab and uncheck Block Anonymous Internet Requests and click on Save Settings...
    3)Click on the Status tab and take note of DNS1 and DNS2 Addresses...
    4) Goto the XBox Network Settings and IP Address Settings and select manual IP Settings and assign the following on your Xbox IP Address :- 192.168.1.20, Subnet Mask :- 255.255.255.0, Default Gateway :- 192.168.1.1...
    5) Also assign the DNS Addresses on the Xbox, Use DNS1 and DNS2 Addresses you took note off of the router status tab as Primary DNS & Secondary DNS for the xbox...
    6) Turn off your modem, router, and Xbox...Wait for a minute...
    7) Plug the modem power first, wait for another minute and plug the router power cable, wait another minute and turn on the Xbox and test it...it will connect...

  • Wireless Airport Connection for XBox 360

    There are several prior threads on this, and on the Micros**t board, but none resolve the issue - so here's hoping someone can help the father of a frustrated 15 year old (please, please!!).
    Bottom line - my son got an XBox 360 for Christmas. We have an Airport Extreme network (with an Airport Express range booster down stream) for our home network. Cable modem with static IP. The XBox with its wireless networking adapter will recognize my home network (with WEP security) - it's located about 10 fet from the Extreme Base Satation, but the XBox will not connect. (We tried the XBox website's "set up wizard" to no avail; Microsoft simply says that Airports are not supported and they have no clue as to how to establish a connection with a non-PC).
    I know an XBox 360 can join an Apple Airport Extreme wireless network because others have posted the result - but without any explicit instructions on how to do so (at least none that I can find).
    I'm pretty Mac savvy, but don't want to get into doing terminal commands as I don't want to mess up any aspect of my home network (since I have an office there as well and can't afford to rebuild a network like I did last night for 6 hours when someone at Micro told me to change my Airporst security, which sent a ripple effect throgh my system to the point I lost all internet for hours).
    So, if anyone can give me a set of "a, b, c ... 1, 2, 3 ..." set-up instructions on how to wirelessly get an XBox 360 to join an Airport Extreme network, you'll have certaintly done your good deed for the Holidays!
    Thanks and Cheers!

    Found the answer - set wireless security to 128 bit WEP and made the network password EXACTLY 13 characters, and the XBox loaded right up.
