Unable to Transfer MP3 to SD Card

I have a 13" macbook pro retina display. I have a smartphone which has a micro SD card so from time to time I add files to and from it. I never had a problem transferring files until last night. I went to drag and drop an MP3 file from my iTunes into the SD card's music folder and I was unable to do so. It gave me an icon with a line going through the circle indicating that I was unable to drop the file. The file is a 57 minute long music file but I have over 9 gb of available space on the card so I know i'm not out of space. Just for kicks I tried dropping a smaller file, a 2 minute long mp3 and I had the same thing occue. The SD card folder does show all my music and pictue files on it so I don't think I have a problem with the card itself. I think I may be doing something wrong, although I can't imagine this process being any simpler.
I never post any questions here but I know how helpful this community can be.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.

Disk utility*version 10.4.4* will only offer me the singular option of the following: VERIFY DISK
I,MAl OF ADDISON TEXAS USA ,DID indeed verify it,with the following result: 1 NON HFS VOLUME CHECKED.
disk utility would not offer me the options of ERASE or RESTORE

I can't seem to transfer music files to my BB 8707 as it says I am only allowed up to 2.86MB. Does this mean that I cannot transfer any music files at all? Or is there some other way of doing it?

hello,
the 8707 can read mp3. The problem is that there is only 64MB onboard memory and :
a big part of it is used by the Operating System
you can't install a memory card on your device
I know, this sucks. Maybe it's time to buy another device if you intend to use it as a Portable Media Player.

Ahh, extra info ahead...
Pictures on SD card, SanDisc-SDHC, 4GB Card, are jpeg. The ones I would like to put on the card are jpeg as well.
SD format MS-DOS (FAT32) .
3.876 GB available on card.
I have
Exported the pics from iPhoto to the desktop. Inserted sd card into side of iMac. The icon of card popped up.
Attempts to no avail:
1)   Dragged the photos to the disk icon for the sd card.
2)   Dragged pictures into the DCIM folder (where all photos taken on camera resided).
3)   Created new folder. Put photos from desktop into folder and dragged ne folder inside DCIM -since pictures taken at different times had their own folders inside the DCIM folder.
Every time the photos/files end up showing up on the sd card as long as it is in my computer but when ejected and inserted into my camera, all imported photos/jpeg file are gone.

Since you are running Windows 2000, you most likely have a pretty old version of Windows Media Player. Easiest thing for you to do would be to puchase a USB Card Reader that supports Micro SD cards, and simply drag and drop your music to the /AUDIO folder on the card. Put the card back into your phone and you're done!

Unable to read mp3 files on usb storage on my car radio

I have bought a car radio (Kenwood KDC-261UB), to listen to mp3 files on usb storage and also on my iphone. Although connected to my iphone all is OK, each time I transfer mp3 files on a storage (whatever the capacity), the car radio is unable to read them or so slow that it becomes prohibitive (NA file displayed). If now I transfer the files with the help of a Linux based computer, everything is OK. So, what is the problem ? Can you help me ? (I'm on a imac, with OS X 10.9.5) Thank you by advance. Delete the .DS_Store files off the USB drive. Once I did this, it worked 100% with no problems.
Well, until I went over 1400 files in the root folder, in which case you just need to separate them out into sub-folders.

Thank you. I meant streaming, not transfer. I have streamed movies through my Apple TV before and watched them on my TV. Now, the only content that will stream is what I purchased in the Itunes store. My Home Sharing is obviously activated or the streaming of purchased items would not work. Unable to transfer photos to burn a CD

I have an I Book G4. I have uploaded some photos very valuable to me, of my trip to Ireland. They appear as a roll in Iphoto.
I have tried to export the photos so that I can copy them onto a CD to save them.
I get a message; unable to create/users/campd/desktop.
Then, I am unable to transfer the photos.
I am moving over to a new Mac, and would like to take these photos with me on a CD. In the past I have been able to export and copy photos.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

Sounds like you live in Canada and are buying apps. Gift card in Canada can only be used for music and movies, not apps. The apps will use the credit card instead.

Are you sure that if I use my windows log in rather than my husbands, then open itunes it won't delete all his hundreds of songs and overwrite with mine?
I want to maintain my own apple ID login and he wants his but without losing his songs.....

Can I transfer a itunes gift card from one computer to another?

The iTunes gift card money can't be transferred between iTunes Store accounts. Log into the old iTunes Store account and stop using the new one.

Hi, I have shot few pictures on 31st December night in RAW mode using Nikon D800 and Sandisk extreme plus 32GB SDHC card. It looks like card got some memory errors so not able to transfer the files from Card to computer. However I am able to view the pics thru Lightroom ver 4.4 Library, but when I tried to import them, it gives me an error stating that file can't be read.
Is there a way to save the pics from Library window in lightroom overcoming the card read errors ?

Thank you for your response. Here is the error message I am receiving, I tried with various destination folders in the computer but it still gives the same error:. Just to let you know, I am able to import pictures into these folders from other memory cards.

I am unable to transfer my playlist to my Ipod in the new version of Itunes.

Since downloading the new Itunes I am unable to transfer my playlist to my Ipod.
I have tried dragging individual tracks but it will not let me load anything.
The symbol for my Ipod is no longer in the left column of my screen but at the top right hand corner.

I also found that my previously paired 1st Gen Apple TV did not show up at all in itunes, after updating to version 11.
I basically resolved this by re-pairing it.
There may be less drastic steps that can be taken? But I found removing and then re-adding the pairing did the trick.
A bit arduous I suppose... effectively a minor reset of sorts... but my resolution steps were:
1) Removing the itunes sync account (at top) from the Settings->Computers screen on the 1st Gen Apple TV.
This took a while, and some faith, as it then removed all synched content from the Apple TV, which took several minutes... and I wasn't convinced I'd be able to then restore the sync.
2) After that process completed, I then clicked the option to add (re-add) the itunes sync account, on the Apple TV, noted the new code, went back to itunes (11.0.5), found the now unpaired Apple TV (that was now showing up again) in the left hand "Devices" list, and clicked "Setup", and then entered the new pairing code.
This let me set up synching again (although I sync the majority of my library content, in fact I set it up with the "Custom Sync" option) ...and so far, so good. It is now synching my purchases from the Apple TV into itunes, and vice versa, as it was before.
Hope this info helps someone else with a 1st Gen Apple TV...

Why am I unable to transfer files from computer to external hard drive?

I am unable to transfer files to an exteral hard drive, as the computer is not allowing me to drag the files across to either the icon on the desktop or in Finder - I have 3 different hard drives (including an Apple time capsule) and none of these is allowing transfer. I'm using version OS X 10.6.8. Any ideas?
