Unable to turn on Bluetooth - E66

Hi,
When trying to activate Bluetooth on my E66 device I am getting an error message saying " Can not perform the operation". I have tried to restart my device.

First Back-up all your important data using the Nokia Suite..
Factory Reset the phone ..(Menu-->Tools-->settings-->General-->Factory settings ..Security code by default is 12345 unless changed by you will need to be entered when prompted..)
If problem remains you need to Soft Reset the phone by dialing *#7370# followed by the Security code (as above) when prompted. Be warned that this will erase all data from the phone memory and data will need to be Restored ( from the back-up that you have taken) . A few applications will require re-installing.
If problem remains then Also check that you have the latest Firmware. If already with the latest version Re-install the Firmware thru' Nokia Suite ( Refer Attachment) .
even after all these If the problem remains, then in all probabilities its a Hardware failure that needs to be addressed by a Nokia Care technician.
Just curious whether the FM Radio is functioning OK or that has also stopped ???

  • Smart Connect can't turn off Bluetooth

    Hello,
I purchased an Xperia Z3 Compact and Smart Connect is unable to turn off Bluetooth at the end of an action.  Below is the setup I have been trying to get work.
    - Bluetooth turned on manually
    - Turn on Bluetooth headphones.
    Smart Connect:
     - Start Action:
         - Connect Bluetooth headphones
         - Start Walkman App
         - Play track
         - Adjust Volumes
    - End Action:
         -Disconnect Bluetooth headphones
         - Pause track
         - Turn off Bluetooth
The problem is that the Bluetooth will not turn off and I must do it manually.  The Bluetooth on and off works for wired headphones, but not for Bluetooth headphones.  Can this be addressed or at least send me information to get this fixed?
    Thanks

I have this exact problem with my new Z2.
    - End Action:
         - Adjust Volumes: set wrong volumes
         - Turn off Bluetooth: does not work
Sony, fix it with an update, please!

Try to re-set it as rudegar suggests. If that doesn't work, try a restore. If that doesn't work, try a restore as new.
If the settings are still grayed out, then your phone has suffered a hardware failure.

  • Bluetooth unable to turn on

Since upgrading to Yosemite 10.10.1 I am unable to connect my bluetooth mouse.  The turn Bluetooth on button will not highlight.  The icon on the top of the screen says bluetooth is not available. Bluetooth is not an option in system preferences under view either.  How can I turn on bluetooth?

had this same issue since I upgraded my mid 2010 macbook pro, bluetooth not available plus the lighting bolt icon with the bluetooth. Yesterday I went to MicroCenter and got a USB bluetooth dongle (IOGEAR GBU521) and works great, just plug n play. Now I can use my bluetooth speakers.

  • S400 unable to turn off wireless

Hi , I am unable to turn off or on wifi/bluetooth with the f7 key(alternatiely the wireless key). wifi and bluetooth are enabled always whch i feel is power consuming when not required. the key seems to be unusable.
    netbook config is :
i3, 2gb ram, atheos ar9285 wireless lan adapter, atheos ar3011 bluetooth adapter
i have installed both the wireless drivers from lenovo support.
what should i do to correct this.

    hi Pravinrajpaul,
    Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
If you're running Windows 8, pressing the Airplane Mode (F7) turns OFF both the Wireless and Bluetooth radio. If you want to turn off just the Blueooth though, you will need to do it manually by:
    1. Opening Device Manager (press Win Key+X > choose Device Manager)
    2. Expand Bluetooth Radios then right click > disable the blueooth adapter.
    3. For the wireless, choose Network Adapters under Device Manager and right click > disable the wireless module or boot into the BIOS by pressing the One Key Recovery button and under the Configuration Tab, set Wireless LAN Support to Disabled.
    Hope this helps.

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
    1. Verify that airplane mode is off by tapping Settings > Airplane Mode.
    2. Reset the network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Note: This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN, and APN settings
    3. Ensure that your device is using the latest software. To do so, connect your device to your computer and check for updates in iTunes.
    4. If your issue is still unresolved, perform a software restore in iTunes.

  • TS1398 my iphone 4s wont connect to wifi  its like unable to turn it on

My iphone wont connect to wifi is like unable to turn it on

    Hello geordiebell,
It sounds like your phone is not connecting to your Wi-Fi network. You can use the troubleshooting from the following article to help get that issue resolved:
iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398
Follow these steps to troubleshoot the above issues:
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and on. If your Wi-Fi setting is dimmed, follow these steps.
Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and cable or DSL modem are connected to power, turned on, and connected to the Internet. If not, refer to your network administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for assistance.
    Restart your iOS device.
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you're connected.
    Tap and Forget this Network.
Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
Note: You may need to enter your Wi-Fi password again if your network requires one.
Turn your Wi-Fi router off and on2. If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
Update your device to the latest version of software.
Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware2. For AirPort Base Stations, install updates using the AirPort Utility.
Unable to connect to a Wi-Fi network
Verify that you're attempting to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
Make sure you're entering your Wi-Fi password correctly. Passwords may be case sensitive and may contain numbers or special characters.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings including:
previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords
    recently used Bluetooth accessories
    VPN and APN settings
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the very best,

  • Ugh! How to navigate when you have a dead Mouse / Trackpad or accidentally turned off bluetooth

    Wow...
Did a stupid thing and turned off bluetooth on my Mac and watched as my Apple Magic Mouse and Apple Magic Trackpad dissapeared and left me stranded.
For those of you dead in the water unable to navigate your Mac here are some tips:
Reboot your Mac and Zap your PRAM which will force the Mac to turn on bluetooth again.  Shut down the computer by holding the power button.  Hold down Command (the Apple icon 4 leaf clover key), Option, P and R keys together and hold them all down after you turn on the Mac.  If you do this before the grey screen you'll see the Mac chime and restart.  You can now let go of your keys and see if BlueTooth can now discover your devices.
If you haven't already swapped out batteries in your Mouse, Keyboard or Trackpad please do so.  Be sure to not mix batteries of different types in the device.
If you have keyboard access, but not your mouse or trackpad you can press the Option Key 5 times and then your numeric pad should move the mouse allowing you to navigate to things like System Preferences, Bluetooth to turn it back on!
If you have a USB mouse you can plug it in, navigate your mac and turn bluetooth back on.
If you have Apple Screen Share or Apple Remote Access you can use another Mac to log into your Mac and turn on bluetooth.
Serious Accessbility Feature Requests for Apple (and yes I know this isn't the forum or place to put this, but it needs to be said):
You need to go back and fix 10.8.4 to allow complete navigation of a Mac with a keyboard only.  You can use Command + SpaceBar and type System Preferences and then type BlueTooth, but once you are in the Bluetooth settings you can't use your keyboard to navigate to the ON option.
You can't also navigate into System Preferences / Accessibility to turn Enable Mouse Keys (you need a mouse to turn this option on!).  The Mouse & Trackpad options should be made so that a keyboard could turn on/off this feature, because a lot of people trying to turn on this feature are folks like me who lost mouse/trackpad access!!
Hopefully this helps others!  Hopefully Apple will do some basic UI improvements to bring back OS navigation for users who only have access to a keyboard or just a mouse/trackpad (no physical keyboard).  These kinds of tests should be part of every major OS release!
