Unable to undo check out

I have a file that I can't check in and can't "undo check
out" in the remote view. I can't even delete the LCK file with my
FTP client. whassup?

HI,
When you check out any DC you need to create an activity.
and there is an entry for each an every file checked out by you to edit.
now if you want to undo check out for whole DC, then revert your activity and sync your sources again.
if you want to undo check out for only one file, then just expand your actitvity and revert the entry for that file

  • Cannot check out runbook (locked)

    Hi,
I have this very strange behaviour on Orchestrator and it happened suddenly.
When I want to check out a runbook I had previously made a lock symbol is showed on that runbook.
The only option I have is "Undo Check Out". I also have this when I create a new runbook. When I want to put some activities in this new runbook on beforehand I have to "Check Out". The same lock is given and I only can do "Undo Check
    Out".
When I check the database nothing is locked whith this query:
    SELECT [UniqueID]
    , [Name]
    , [CheckOutUser]
    , [CheckOutTime]
    , [CheckOutLocation]
    FROM [Orchestrator].[dbo].[POLICIES]
The result is NULL, which states that there are no locks.
The security rights are full control for the AD group "GROUPNAME" and my account is member in this group. This group is added to every folder in runbook designer.
When I start the runbook designer as the runbook service account then I perfectly can create and edit runbooks. There are no problems. This is very very strange since it happed suddenly.
Why do I have this problem?
How can I solve this problem?
    Regards,
    Mark

Update: I got myself domain admin right now.... no differences in behaviour. Still locked runbooks when I create a new runbook and check it out. In the above situation I have a seperate server where Runbook designer is installed and connected it remote to
    the Orchestrator Management server.
As a second test I have installed runbook designer on the Orchestrator Management Server. When I create a runbook under the same user account as above I don't have the problem and I can check my runbook out and edit it without problems and then back, check
    it in.
Now when I go back to the first server and make a remote session with runbook designer I can see the created runbook, but when I want to check it out it is locked.
I don't know what to do next. When I compare my two Orchestrator environments (different VLANs, so they do't see each other) I don't see any differences in securitysettings. I compared the policies on both environtments on both the remote server with runbook
designer and the ORchestrator Management server. The same policies are set and applied.
DCOM settings on the Orchestrator management server are exactly the same in both envoronments, I have the remote launch rights that are needed to start runbook designer and connect to the orchestror management server.
    Some ideas?

  • CR files are automatically checked out (with Visual Source Safe 2005)

    Dear CR Support,
i have a strange problem. Every time i open my solution in V.S. 2008 (V.B.) all my CR files are checked out automatically.
I must do "Undo Check Out" every time.
    I Use:
    Visual Basic 2008
    Crystal Reports 2008
    Visual Source Safe 2005
For any extra information, please let me know.
    Thank you in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Navarino Technology Department.

    Dear Don hello,
    sorry for that.
I have made some tests and i notice the followings:
I'm working in a CR file in design mode. I make the changes that i want, i click save and then "Check In" in order the changes to be saved in VSS. If i Don't "close" the CR File (the open tab of Visual Studio) the CR file stays "Open" in design mode. If i right click over the tab of the CR and click "close", the CR closes. This is what i mean "Open" and "Closed" file.
    - When i open the solution with the crystal reports files open (design window open), the files are checked out automatically.
    - When i open the solution with closed the reports, i have no problem. But if i try to open (in design mode) the crystal reports files, the report is checked out automatically (this is not happening to all reports).
I will try to reinstall the SP2 again.
Is there any newer Patch after the SP2, in order to install it?
    Thank you for your reply.

  • "Unable to Check Out File Error" Message

I'm new to using Adobe products, so forgive me if this is a dumb question! My graphic designer sent me a INDD file to edit the text in and when I try to open it in both InDesign and InCopy, I receive an "Unable to Check Out this File" error message. I just downloaded InDesign CC and InCopy CC (the free trial versions). She said that all settings on her end should allow me to view it. Any help is much appreciated!
    Thank you!

I've just experienced the same error message in CS4. I got rid of it by going to the Links panel, selecting all the links to Incopy, and Unlinking.

  • "Unable to check out" error message in CS4

I have InDesign CS4, but do not have InCopy. When I exported an InDesign CS4 file to CS3 interchange format, and then tried to edit the orginal file, I got an error message saying: "Unable to check out this file. It may be in use by someone else." From reading the documentation, it appears that I inadvertently engaged a feature of InCopy, but when  I go to the Edit->InCopy menu, the option to check the file back in is greyed out. How do I check the file back in so that I can edit it?

  • Unable to check-in  & check-out

    Hi,
I have subversion client 1.7 and OPA 10.2 installed on my system. The subversion has been detected automatically by OPM . Now the problem is that I have checked in a project into the repository. Now when I try to check out a file then the svn gives error that it was unable to lock the file. For some files I am successfully able to check out and check but for some files it says that it could not lock the file. what can be the issue with the svn?
also, note that I am the only user of that repository. so anyone else having that file check -out can be ruled out.
also. how can i version control the VTL files in release folder of the application.?
    Thanks,
    Rajan

  • Office 2013 vs SharePoint 2010 - Unable to check out documents to SharePoint drafts folder

My company is foisting Office 2013 on us without upgrading SharePoint 2010 Enterprise. One of the issues I have discovered since receiving Office 2013 is that SharePoint no longer provides the option to save checked out documents to my local drafts folder.
This is despite having Office set to save checked-out files to the server drafts location and the Office Document Cache Handler enabled in IE9. Is there a registry setting or something I can change that will re-enable this feature?

    Hi Nellie,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to re-enable the add-on Office Document Cache Handler in IE9.
We can re-enable the add-on in IE9 using Group Policy:
    Launch the Group Policy Editor.
Go to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Internet Explorer > Security Features > Add-on Management >
     Add-on List.
    Set this policy to 'Enabled'.
In the Add-on List, add the CLSID of BHO (Browser Helper Object) (i.e.) {B4F3A835-0E21-4959-BA22-42B3008E02FF} as the ‘Value Name’ and 1 as the 'Value'.
Log out of the machine and log back in again for the setting to take effect.

  • Unable to release the Check-in status of a checked-out item.

    Dear all,
I am using Portal 10.1.2 and now facing a problem that someone "A" has the privilege to add file items on a page where an approval process ("X", "Y", "Z", only one must approve) is defined.
"A" add a new file to the page. He did it as usual. Go to the page, add the new file and press OK.
But, neither "X", "Y" nor "Z" can see the pending file item shown in the "My Approval Status Portlet".
So, the uploaded file is now checked-out by A and no one can move it.
    Can anyone help me?
    thanks a lot.
    George (HK)
    My blog at http://hktour.blogspot.com

Thnx - the hint with the "My Notification" portlet did the trick.
I had a HTML Portlet, that always displayed "draft" - but every user already saw the new content (!?).
After putting a "My Notification" portlet on an extra page - I could access the page with the HTML portlet in mode 25 (preview pendiing items) were I could submit the portlet into approval. Using the "My Notification" portlet again, I was also able to approve the portlet.
Now all pages that included this portlet are cleaned again (no more displaying "darft" in the edit mode).
    Thanks a lot!

  • My local library uses a program called Overdrive Media Console to check out audiobooks.  MP3 type books go to music on my iPod Nano, but I am unable to delete them because I tunes doesn't display them as content. What should I do? I need the space.

According to my library, I can download MP3 audio books to my Ipod Nano.  The material is "checked out" to a program called Over Drive Media Console. and from there, it is transferred to my IPod.  the audio doesnt go to Audi Books, it goes to Music.  I want to delete some of the books I have listened to, but when I plug in the Ipod and open ITunes, the titles are not there.  The manual says to connect to itunes, and delete a "song or other material" but since I  did not use ITunes to get the
"song" to begin with, it isnt recognized.  How can I get these audioboks off my IPOD?  I am running out of space.  I tried connecting to Overdrive, but the software doesnt recognize the internal content.  It only sets it up for transfer.

The audio books do not display under the music sub-menu
And they shouldn't.  They should be under the Books submenu that is further down the list from the Music submenu you are referring to.
