Unable to uninstall or remove ADFS Service Proxy and Web Agents from Server 2012

I have a Server 2012 machine that's a primary host for company websites. An inexperienced developer (with FAR more access than he should've had; yes, epic fail) was able to install ADFS Service Proxy and ADFS 1.1 Web Agents (for SAML) on the server. He didn't
complete the configuration, realizing he'd over stepped his boundaries. He did install the rollup update 3 to ADFS though. However, now I'm unable to uninstall the components. It's not listed in the updates and the option to remove from Roles/Features is grayed
out.
Any help would be awesome!

  • Upgrade from ADFS 2.1 to ADFS 3.0 and stay on Windows Server 2012 (not R2)

    Hello,
    could you tell me if this is possible? We need to stay on the same OS 2012 (not R2)?
    Are the 2 versions compatible, i.e if we upgrade the secondary to ADFS 3.0 will the primary on ADFS 2.1 still sync to it, and will the farm respond on either host?
    Thanks,
    Tim

    The upgrade procedure is described here: http://blogs.technet.com/b/askpfeplat/archive/2014/03/31/how-to-build-your-adfs-lab-part4-upgrading-to-server-2012-r2.aspx

  • Web-Service Proxy and Web-Service Client access in a Bean (EJB 3.0)

    Hello Community,
    i want to access the SAP Knowledge-Management via the Webservice "RepositoryFrameworkWS", which resides on our Portal-System, from my Java-Application, which runs on a NW CE 7.11 Ehp1 Java Server.
    I choosed to create a WS-Client as a deployable client. So i created an Bean Project, imported the WSDL and created a WS-Proxy in that project. Additionaly i added some beans to that Bean-Project which use the WS-Proxy to access the KM.
    So far so good.
    But the WSDL also creates a Service-Endpoint, which already has an url for the WS-Target and Authentication-Information (in my case it seems that no Authentication is active) in its body.
    Because my client shell run on different systems in the future i searched for a way to easiliy deploy my application and adapt target-information elsewhere. I found in the documentation, that after deploying the deployable WS-Proxy/Client this can be done in the NW-Administrator under SOA-Management->Application and Scenario Communication->Single Service Administration.
    To my surprise i found my deployed WS there. And the entry for the there listed Port was configurable. But unfortunatly this customization is ignored by the application. For example i changed authentication to a HTTP-Authentication with a specific user and also changed to Target-URL. But with no success.
    What's wrong here?
    i accessed the WS in my bean in the following way:
        public Class xyz
         @WebServiceRef (name="RepositoryFrameworkWS")
         RepositoryFrameworkWS service;
          RepositoryFrameworkWSViDocument vi = service.getPort(RepositoryFrameworkWSViDocument.class);
         vi.findResources(rid,....)
    regards

    Hi Matthias
    In Single Service Administration there are two views: Webservices and WS Clients configurations. First of all you should enable BASIC HTTP authentication in WS configuration. Then go to WS Client configuration and enter user/password in HTTP BASIC authentication settings.
    Hope this help.

  • RDP via remote web workspace from Server 2012 R2 Essentials on Win 8 Client unable to connect to local printer.

    Hi,
    Having an issue redirecting to a local printer when using a remote desktop session initiated through from a Essentials 2012 R2 server via remote web workspace on a Win 8.1 client, it doesn't pick up the Local printer, or even give the option of which
    local resources to use on connection, just goes straight through and displays the remote desktop on connection.
    I know its not a server global policy issue as it works fine on a Win 7 client with the same user being able to print locally whilst in a RD session
    Any idea's as to how I can resolve this issue and enable local redirected printing or at least give me the options of specifiying which resources to connect on the local machine at the start of a session.
    It's complicated I think as the essentials box is acting as the gateway so I cannot setup a session directly, the certificates are all working correctly so I am confused as to whats causing the issue.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Why?  It comes with an uninstaller.
    Contact the developer for uninstall instructions.

  • I want to remove the COnlineBank, OnlineBank and csample applications from my application and web server.

    How can I safely do this on Solaris? I've tried "iasdeploy removeapp" and "iasdeploy removemodule" with no luck. I want to clear all of this demo stuff out to make both the web and app server look more production like.
    Thanks

    Eric,
    these applications are applogics which are not controlled by the
    iasdeploy tool. Unfortunately, there is no tool available to remove
    these applications for you. What you can do is to manually remove all
    their entries, but be careful if you do that. If you remove the wrong
    keys you might break your ias installation, so be warned and make sure
    you backup the whole ias registry before attempting to remove anything.

  • How to remove a font file and its mapping from XML Publisher Administrator

    Hello,
    I am trying to remove a font file and its mapping from the XML Publisher Administrator. If this is not possible, is there a way to disable it?
    The reason why I am asking this is because we just got a new check printer, and I was able to print just fine. However, the MICR font was not coming up properly on the check, so I went ahead and configured the font with the XML Publisher Administrator. Now my check output is coming up blank after running the XML report publisher program. The only change I did was to upload the MICR font and mapped it.
    My template and rdf report file are working fine in another environment we have, so I know that's not the problem.
    Any help is appreciate it.
    Thanks.

    This is how you do it
    Font
    DELETE FROM xdo_lobs
    where lob_code like '<Font_name>';
    Font Mapping Set
    DELETE FROM xdo_font_mapping_sets_TL
    WHERE mapping_code like '<MAPPING_CODE>'

  • Difference between Web Service Developer and Web Compononent Developer?

    What's the difference between Web services Developer and Web Component Developer? What's their job description. I'm aiming to be a web application developer. Which track should I follow?

    Here is another article on J2SE vs JEE:
    http://www.velocityrevies.com/forums/t151124-what-is-j2se-vs-j2ee.html
    I believe the people who said JSE is only for desktop development are not correct, as well as their saying their are 2 kinds of developer (web service and component).
    As I understand it, web service developers provide a way to expose the data and functionality of a program written in a particular language (such as Java or C#) as XML documents to anyone subscribing to the service over the internet. The remote applications subscribing to the service therefore can be written in any other language. For example, imagine a Cobol program trying to get data from a program written in Java. Since both cobol and Java should have ways to parse XML documents, they don't have to know each other's syntax. There are many programs written in many many languages in the web and XML is a standard way for them to communicate. Web Services are an advanced topic and you shouldn't worry about it until you master web applications and/or desktop applications.
    As I understand it, a web component developer creates java widgets that produce some visual image with basic functionality associated with it. For example, an html button. These widgets are used by other developers for the presentation layer when creating a web application or desktop application. I'm not sure about this definition since I never messed with web component development. I suggest you keep way from this specialized area on concentrate on web applications and/or desktop applications.
    You can consider application development as devided into two general categories. Web development and Desktop development (there are others). Web development is further broken down into browser based applications and mobile device applications. I suspect their are more jobs in web development than desktop development. I therefore suggest you concentrate on browder based web development (just my opinion). However, each has their advantages and disadvantages over each other, depending on the task at hand(http://stackoverflow.com/questions/905365/desktop-development-versus-web-development)

  • When I try to install CS6 Design and Web Premium from a disk I get this message "We are unable to validate this serial number..." What is the reason for this?

    I purchased a disk copy of CS6 Design and Web Premium from a reputable seller last week and when I try to install it with the serial number I got it says "We are unable to validate this serial number for CS6 Design and Web Premium. Please contact Customer Support." What is the reason for this?
    Is the serial number invalid?

    Hi Ned,
    Thanks for the suggestion. I eventually got in touch with Adobe Technical Support and it turned out that my Adobe Application Manager was not the latest version. They downloaded the latest version and installed it and that seemed to solve the problem. I was able to install my CS6 Creative Suite and validate the serial number. All seems to be going well at the moment.

  • Migrating (uninstalling and reinstalling) agents from 12.1.0.1 to 12.1.0.2

    We have an existing Cloud Control 12.1.0.1 installation with about 40 agent deployments across our enterprise. Having run into many bugs in 12.1.0.1 that are ostensibly fixed in 12.1.0.2, we are planning to upgrade - however it appears that the recommendation is to install a new 12.1.0.2 Cloud Control and migrate agents from the old system to the new.
    We have installed the new system, but are looking for an efficient way to migrate the existing agents, as the Oracle docs state that the agent must be removed from the original 12.1.0.1 system prior to adding to the new 12.1.0.2 system. Not sure if Oracle docs are incomplete, as none of the instructions reference using the Cloud to 'Remove Target' on the agent (yet this functionality appears to exist) - I am hoping that given that we are able to deploy an agent through cloud we should also be able to remove it via cloud?
    If not, is the only way to remove by using the runInstaller -deinstall in each agent home across our enterprise? If so, the docs are somewhat sparse on which installed products to remove with the graphical installer, should I be removing:
    - agent12g1
    - sbin12g1
    - oracle_sysman_xxxxxx_12_1_0_1_0_discovery_Home0 (and all permutations?)

    Hi ngilbert
    If my understanding is not correct from your posting, drop me an email and we can discuss your requirement further.
    1) if you are upgrade your agents from 12.1. to 12.2 then you have to use agent upgrade console to do that and it does an out of place agent upgrade ( you get a new agent home)
    To clarify, you don’t have to re-install the agent to upgrade an agent from 12.1 to 12.2. You can argue that out of place upgrade is equivalent to fresh install of 12.2 but as a part of this agent upgrade process we upgrade plug ins, migrate the agent config and other details.
    2) If your concern is how to delete the old 12.1 agent home on multiple target host after agent upgrade? Then yes, this an requirement for us to automate this process to clean up the old agent homes while doing an agent upgrade from 12.1. to 12.2. For time being, as I mentioned earlier we detach the old 12.1 agent home from inventory so the only thing you have to do is to remove the old home directories.
    3) Are you also trying to migrate your operating system on the OMS or Repository host as a part of this upgrade ?

  • Problem with web service proxy and connections.xml

    JDev 11.1.14
    Hello
    I'm trying to create a web service proxy that takes advantage of the connections.xml so that the endpoints can be changed without recompiling the code (as described here http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/web.1111/b31974/web_services.htm#ADFFD548 - 13.2.2 How to Create a New Web Service Connection)
    I created the web service proxy using the Jdev wizard and a test client. The access to the web service works as expected.
    The client test code is :
    package model;
    import ch.mit.trac.ws.proxy.*;
    import ch.mit.trac.ws.root.Currency;
    import javax.naming.NamingException;
    public class wsTest {
      public wsTest() {
        super();
      public void testIt() throws NamingException {
        CurrencyConvertor currencyConvertor = new CurrencyConvertor();
        CurrencyConvertorSoap currencyConvertorSoap = currencyConvertor.getCurrencyConvertorSoap();
        Double res = currencyConvertorSoap.conversionRate(Currency.CHF, Currency.USD);
        System.out.println("Hello");
        System.out.println(res);
      public static void main(String [] args) throws NamingException {
        wsTest tt = new wsTest();
        tt.testIt();
    }I then create a connection as described in the docs.
    I now have a connections.xml as follows:
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>
    <References xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/jndi">
       <Reference name="CurrencyConvertor" className="oracle.adf.model.connection.webservice.impl.WebServiceConnectionImpl" xmlns="">

    I then created a new jspx page with a button that calls a method in a request scoped bean.

        WebServiceConnection wsc;
        wsc = (WebServiceConnection) ctx.lookup("CurrencyConvertor");
        CurrencyConvertor currencyConvertor = wsc.getJaxWSPort(CurrencyConvertor.class);   -- NPE here
        CurrencyConvertorSoap currencyConvertorSoap = currencyConvertor.getCurrencyConvertorSoap();
        Double res = currencyConvertorSoap.conversionRate(Currency.CHF, Currency.USD);
        System.out.println("Hello");
        System.out.println(res);
      public void testws(ActionEvent actionEvent) {

  • Web service proxy and data control are not working properly

    Hi,
    I am working on jDeveloper 11.1.1.6
    I have a SOA web service which requires 3 inputs and return with a set of data.
    When I tried testing that web service in soapUI it is working perfect. But when I have created a web service proxy in my application and trying to test it from class (*******_ptClient) main method everytime it is replying with the output null
    Also When I am requesting from the main method SOA is getting proper input (which I am providing in the main method) and SOA is returning proper output I have checked the SOA instance in em. So there is no problem in SOA side.
    After that I have created web service data control and tested in that case also it is not showing any result.
    What could be the problem ?
    Please help.
    Thanks

    Hi Shay Shmeltzer,
    Thanks for the reply.
    I tried in HTTP Analyzer in JDeveloper and there also it is not working. My concern is :-
    There are many other web services deployed on the same SOA server in same partition and they are working fine in HTTP analyzer and I am able to create and use the web service proxy as well. So as per my understanding there is nothing like network issues between SOA server and jDeveloper.
    1 more thing When I am creating the proxy for this web service and requesting from the proxy's main method SOA is getting proper input (which I am providing in the main method) and SOA is returning proper output I have checked the SOA instance in em. So there is no problem in SOA side. The problem is jDeveloper is not able to get back that response which SOA is returning.
    Please Help.
