Unable to update apps on iPhone 4 since updating to OS6

Since updating to OS6 I have been unable to update my apps through the App Store on my iPhone, any suggestions would be most welcome. It's also freezing completely, rather than updating, I suppose. Also experiencing the same app update issue on my iPad. And have noted some random freezing and some wonky behavior within some of the apps as well.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

I have also been having this trouble since I upgraded to OS 3.0
Before I was able to download apps over 3G but not it seems that i have them same problem where it tries to download it a few times then gives up. Sometimes I am able to download 1 app but then it wont do the rest. Such as when updating apps, itll do the first one on occasion then wont be able to do the rest.
I am able to download them over wi-fi fine and am also able to sync them from my computer to iphone. I have also tried different locations over 3G and have no change.
Any help would be appreciated.

Ever since ios7 upgrade I frequently get an error message "unable to download app at this time". I've tried resetting settings as mentioned in other threads. Also tried refreshing ios completely, that worked, but then the error resurfaced.

If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.

Unable to download app on iPhone 4

I have restored my iPhone to the factory settings(Current ver 7.1.2 (11D257)) . While installing any application from App Store it shows message as "Unable to Download App could not be downloaded at this time" though it works from iTunes connected to PC. Same with Safari browser, it gives message as "cannot open the page you are not connected to internet". I tried reconfiguring my ISP WI Fi Router, where as my other 2 Phones and laptop are browsing internet with no issues. Provided Static IP to the iPhone. Done Hard Rest of iPhone several times. Countless Switch Off - Switch On.
I found one catch here if I disconnects WI FI & use Cellular Data it works fine & If I remove the SIM Card from iPhone & use Wi Fi then also it works fine.
One more thing, couple of days after restoring iPhone I tried to restore it again but why it is trying to download entire 1.13 GB update again & again? whereas it has already have the same one installed?
Please suggest what more I need to do?

I have updated my iphone 4 to iOS 6.01 today..everything went fine and d restore happened..when d app started syncing...few of apps synced and thn my computer crashed..after restart no app are getting synced..why is this happening...before d comp crashed d apps were syncing fine...plz help!!

Follow this article for instructions on completely re-installing the iOS operating system; it sounds like some file may have gotten corrupted during your iOS 7 install.
It's a good idea to back up your data first (to iCloud or iTunes), restore the iPhone to factory settings through iTunes, and then temporarily set the iPhone up as new to test the camera with a completely fresh copy of iOS. If it still doesn't work after re-installing iOS 7 and setting up as new, you may have a hardware issue.

Unable to download apps to iphone 3G

Hi,
I need some help, in the past I have been able to download apps without an issue. Recently all that happens is as follows :-
- Asks for my iTunes password.
- Select the app to download and it commences as normal.
- Gets to the same spot on the progress bar - about 50% along, and then the bar disappears and restarts...
- It does this a few times before timing out with Unable to Download Application . xxx will be available for download when you log in to the itunes store on your computer.
Have checked the restrictions are all fine. Have also factory reset and powered off / on.
What is also weird is that exactly the same issue is happening on my wife's phone ?

Unable to install apps on iphone 3

Hi Can any one help please.
My iphone for some reason will not update or install any further apps. I select the app that I want to install and it prompts me for my password, I put in my password and the icon appears for a short second then disappears. No errors, no indication why it failed. I have checked the usual stuff, restirctions and space, (I have 7.4 Gb left from a 16Gb phone). Also have rebooted, re-sync'd but still has the same problem. thought it might be my account, but I have downloaded the app successfully on my itouch, so i am rather a bit confused...
Anbody got any ideas?

I am also not able to install apps on my iphone. The problem started right.
I click on application and the installation icon appears and immediately disappears without giving any message.

Unable to sync apps onto iPhone 4

Hey guys,
Just recently, I haven't been to sync some of my apps from iTunes on my computer to my iPhone 4. Whenever I try to sync them on, I get a message reading "Unable to install the app "[insert name]" onto the iPhone "[insert name]" because its resources have been modified. I haven't been playing around with any app modifications, and my iPhone is not jailbroken.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the apps, and even deleting from the iTunes library and redownloading the apps, but I still keep on getting the same message.
The only way that I am able to get some of these apps onto my iPhone has been to download directly onto my iPhone, but I can't do that with larger apps (200mb+), even with Wifi.
Any help guys?

Unable to sync apps with iPhone

I recently updated to OS 4.2.1 and got the following when I tried to sync my apps:
The app was not installed on iPhone because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000001).
I did try the "de-authorizing then authorizing" trick but it didn't work.
Not to mention that battery life now ***** really bad.
Saw a thread that suggested resetting all settings, restoring the phone etc, but nothing worked.

Did you check if "App-Installation" is activated in Settings/General/Restrictions on your phone?

Cant access Verizon Mobile App from Iphone(s) since yesterday.....

Can not access Verizon Email via our Iphones since yesterday (09/04)......Have deleted App multiple times and reloaded, but still does not work.....
Can access email from laptop with no issues.....

I am unable to delete apps on iPhone 5

After looking at other similar questions, I can find no answer.
For some reason, I can no longer delete apps from my iPhone 5 running 6.1.4. I am doing everything the way you are supposed to, but nothing. What I end up with is a bunch of jiggling icons, the one I am trying to delete has its "x" blacked out, but it doesn't delete. There is no message asking if I am sure I want to delete this app. I have to do a hard rest in order to get back to normal.
This happen regardless the app I am trying to delete, so there is no one offending app causing the problem. I've checked restrictions and am able to delete. This is just weird and more than a little bit frustrating. I do not want to keep going into iTunes to delete apps from my iPhone. I shouldn't have to anyway.
Everything else appears fine. No problems on my iPad or iPod Touch.
Any assistance will be most welcome!

The only way to get your iTunes content on your new phone is to either sync it from your iTunes library or re-download it directly on your phone.

i have logged into another apple id and an app is in download process , it didnt complete but i have to sign in to a new apple id . what to do?

When I try to install application that I have downloaded from iTunes app store to my iTunes application and then try to sync them to my iphone I get the following error"
Some of the applications in your itunes library, "app name" were not installed on the iPhone, "my iPhone name" you are not authorized for them on this computer. I can sync my ripped movies and music with no problems. Any ideas what I need to do to get these programs to sync?

My computer is already authorized (I have an iPod and have never had this issue before) and I cannot get apps to sync to my phone (I get the same warning message). Any ideas?

Thanks. I had just assumed that my iPhone 3 was just too old for new apps and updates (seemed like logical apple move) so I gave up trying. Decided to do some serious digging and found this post, your fix worked like a charm, I'm a little embarrased, but very thankful.
