Unable to update bridge or photoshop.

I purchased photo shop, bridge and light room pre installed on my laptop direct from Sony. I'm unable to update bridge as the error message appears.
(Bridge is unable to check for updates.
The most likely causes are an inability to connect to the internet or being logged in as a non-administrative user.)
I have asked Sony for help which they haven't been able to provide and I'm connected to the internet. I am also the only user of this laptop. In photo shop it doesn't even give me the option of updating. I am only able to use part of these programs and not view any photos in Raw as I can't download the converter.
Any help or advice most welcome.

Unable to update Bridge CS2

When I started Photoshop CS2 I was informed that an update to CS2 was available. I requested that the update be installed. The update proceeded for some minutes and then a message reported that it was unable to update Bridge because to update to version 1.0.4 required version 1.0.3 which was not present. The version actually present is 1.0.0.545. How do I update my Photoshop CS2 so that Bridge becomes version 1.0.3, so that I can complete the current update?

The updater is, to put it politely, a bit dodgy. I would go to the Updates page on this site and find the necessary updates needed there then install them in sequential order.

"Update Failed" error while trying to update Bridge and Photoshop (U44M1l216)

I'm having issues just trying to update Photoshop and Bridge.
I have Adobe CC 2014 on a Late 2012 Mac Mini OSX Yosemite (though I was also having this issue before I upgraded from Mavericks a few days ago) This is a work computer that's only had these programs for 2-3 weeks- as this is a new job, so everything is really fresh with installs and so on.
When Updating the to the Latests Apps I get this Window:
When I click "Learn More" I get these Windows:
Googling this Error Number only takes me to error codes similar but the number isn't quite right.
I stumbled upon a thread with similar numbers and tried installing the updates directly from the Adobe Website, and they failed. I did that last week so i don't have screenshots of the exact error. If you need me to do that again to get more diagnostic information, please let me know. I also tried reinstalling Adobe Extension manager and it did nothing either way in affecting the situation.
I have no idea what's wrong or what to do to figure this out.
Any help or clarity would help.

I found a solution:
I have try all: Uninstall, reinstall, reboot, Clean... and nothing have worked until I have seen somebody saying this:
to fix this (on a PC)
1: open up the Creative Cloud control panel, and quit out.
2: Navigate to C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local\Adobe\AAMUpdater
3: Delete (or rename) the directory named "1.0"
4: restart Creative Cloud
5: Got to the App manager and update
I try that but didn't work. But finally a notice (in my case) in this directory (C:\Users\Bart Raven\AppData\Local\Adobe\AAMUpdater\1.0\Install\AdobeAfterEffects-13.0.0-Trial\13.0.2) I had a SETUP.ZIP file of the 13.0.2 update that was BROKEN and it didn't want to unzip. IT WAS A SETUP.ZIP file BROKEN.
THAT WAS THE PROBLEM!!
I download a new 13.0.2 update from this site:

and put it unziped in the same directory: ((C:\Users\Bart Raven\AppData\Local\Adobe\AAMUpdater\1.0\Install\AdobeAfterEffects-13.0.0-Trial\13.0.2)
RUN IT, and finally everything works fine again!!
Then i put the last update from the Adobe Cretive Cloud.
SO, The problem is a broken SETUP.ZIP file update in some place in here: C:\Users\Bart Raven\AppData\Local\Adobe\AAMUpdater\1.0\Install - for WINDOWS.
Just replace it for a good one.

Hello, did you download Bridge CC?
If yes, go to the start it from the start menu, if you are on a PC.
Also, is Photoshop up to date? you should have 14.2 Help>Updates.

Please clean AAM cache By deleting following folder contents:

Then try running Updates.

Camera raw 8.7.0.309 update. Now Photoshop cc, cs6, Bridge cc will not open raw anymore

Did the update for camera raw 11-26-2014, Now as stated in headline. Only the Lightroom update is working. Photoshop goes threw the motions, little cycle. then just sets there. Nothing loads, the cycle goes away. and nothing. Bridge just freezes, Photoshop cs6 Nothing.
At first the update did not work on bridge or Photoshop cc. got a error. had to do a work around to get it to install from cloud by renamimg a folder 1.0 and letting cloud re-create it. then the update worked.
But tried the camera raw right after the first update with error.
that's when Raw stopped working. But even after a successful update. It still don't work.
Note: before tempting this update. It all worked. now the only raw editor working is lightroom 5.7 Raw 8.7.
Yes rebooted, yes researched and found nothing.

I tested:
c:\in\v -folder is the one that jpg is read
c:\in\vlc is folder that the camera raw saves jpg
original file name was:
HIETALAHTI, TENAVAMUSKARI_VAASAN SUOMALAISEN SEURAKUNNAN PÄIVÄKERHO_cpy004_5000_02.jpg
it is truncated into:
HIETALAHTI, TENAVAMUSKARI_VAASAN SUOMALAISEN SEURAKUNNAN P.jpg
I shortened the original file name and removed the scandinavian A with dots on top of it and the comma from ther file name:
HIETALAHTI TENAVAMUSK_VAASAN SUOMAL SRK PAIVAKERHO_cpy004_5000_02.jpg
truncates to:
HIETALAHTI TENAVAMUSK_VAASAN SUOMAL SRK PAIVAKERHO_cpy004_5.jpg
the scandinavian alphabet is not a problem (the file names are not always clipped in their position).but causes some extra truncating:
HIETALAHTI-TENAVAMUSKARI_VAASAN SUOMALAINEN PÄIVÄKERHO_CPY00.jpg turns into:
HIETALAHTI-TENAVAMUSKARI_VAASAN SUOMALAINEN PÄIVÄKERHO_CP.jpg
and
HIETALAHTI-TENAVAMUSKARI_VAASAN SUOMALAINEN PÄIVÄKERHO_CPY0.jpg into same

This is why I havent found a good rule in this.
In camera raw the whole file name shows under the preview image but in saving the image the file naming example is truncated.
Even the longest of our file names worked flawlessly for several years until maybe two weeks ago.
60 characters is top length that did not truncate in this testing

Unable to update Photoshop - Error code U44M1P7

I have Photoshop CS6 installed through Creative Cloud on Mac OSX 10.8.3. Photoshop says it is running 13.0.4 x64. The Creative Cloud updater indicates that there is an update available to 13.1.2, however whenever I try to update, the update fails with error code U44M1P7. I searched the forums and have seen several references to this error, but I haven't seen a good method for resolving the error. What steps can I take to resolve this problem and still have my Photoshop installation configured correctly with all my current settings and plugins.

So I ended up uninstalling, cleaning and reinstalling. After the installation I checked for updates. I managed to install the 13.1.2 update to Photoshop CS6, but the updates for Adobe Bridge CS6, Photoshop Camera Raw 7 and Adobe Extension Manager CS6 failed. The log file had this to say about Camera Raw:

I don't use Bridge that often so that isn't a big deal. Camera Raw is a bigger deal, although most of the time I use Lightroom.

No, you're never going to find it there.
In CS6, the Adobe uninstaller is inside the Adobe Photoshop CS6 folder, which in turn is inside the Root Applications folder.

Even with that link though, I was still left puzzled as it didn't give multiple versions, just a 32 bit and 64 bit version.
I tried the 64 bit and it didn't work, so I assumed that was what had already been installed in the update.
Now installed the 32 bit version, and fingers crossed. At least it starts up now!

I uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop CS6 and the problem has not been solved. The only way I am able to open Bridge is through its own application folder. Once I'm in Bridge, I can access Photoshop CS6 by going to the file menu and choosing Open With > Photoshop CS6. Bridge seems to be able to comminicate with Photoshop CS6 but Photoshop CS6 is unable to recognize or find Bridge CS6. Any other suggests? Thank you.
