Unable to update c5-03 software in ovi suite 3.2.1

Hi,
I have just bought a c5-03 and have installed the 11.0.024 version. The ovi software alerts me that I have an update version 20.0.024. I follow all steps indicated by the suite (e.g. connect the mobile with usb, select ovi suite, the update is downloaded to my computer, etc.), but after I select the button install the ovi suite desconnects the phone and shows the message "you are not connected to the computer", install fails, and then the the ovi suite connects the phone again.
Help, please.

The installation is terminated imediatelly and shows the message "you have a usb connection active, you may continue with the instalation", then I click again the button "next" and repeats the installation procedure again - the connection to the phone is lost and so on.

    Hi,
    I succeeded to connect to my Nokia C700 Device in Nokia Ovi Suite mode via USB and now when I try to update device software the Ovi Suite notifies that there is some Network Connection Problem while no firewall and network on Windows XP machine works ok.
    Screenshots are attached.
    Does anybody know what is the problem , how to fix so I can update my Nokia C700 device ?

    Yes , I tryed already to update later but I get the same error - "Network Connection Error..." in the Ovi Suite when attempting to update device software.
    I have stable PPPoE Internet connection.
    The Windows Firewall on the machine is on but Nokia Ovi Suite is in firewall exceptions list.The Antivirus is off on the machine.
    2)
    Now I have another issue. After I restart Nokia Ovi Suite I get a message "An important update for Nokia Ovi Suite has been downloaded ... " with 2 options - install or exit. After I press install I get next error while still connected to Internet as in previous : "Internal error..."

    I am using Nokia C5_00 phone.On Nokia website latest software for Nokia C5_00 is 101.003(copy enclosed) and software currently installed on my phone is 071.005.When I tried to update my phone software through Nokia Suite 3.8.48 and phone software update application message displayed No updates found.I already contact the Nokia Care center they reinstall the software 071.005.Kindly provide me solution.

    @Har_Singh in the Nokia Software Recovery Tool, what is your 7-letter code (Nokia Product Code)? No Windows computer or USB: The same code is printed on your phone. That code determines your firmware variant which determines your current version. We can check together whether you have the correct variant, only with that code.

    Use the Apple Menu > Software Update to install updates, not using downloads from Apple's site as thats for special cases.

  • Nokia Care is unable to update my phone software.....

    I am using Lumia 710.
    I was trying to update my OS to 7.8 with zune, but zune said that your phone is up to date. (8773). So i visited to the near Nokia Care Center, they tried to update the OS, but unable to update and return back me with some cause. (hard disk open or something else.)
    And the phone is resetted and all my apps, games, photos & contacts are deleted.
    Also told me to submit the phone to send it to Bangalore for L3 Support.
    Can you tell me what the reason behind it??

    There are two different issues here, firstly roll out to Zune of updates can take a while and secondly Nokia Care wouldn't use Zune to update your Lumia 710 so apparently device has a USB communication issue precluding installing firmware requiring escalation to Level 3 service centre.

  • Problem to update my NOKIA E71 with Ovi Suite

    Hi everybody,
    Since this morning i've tried to update the software of my Nokia E71 with Nokia Ovi Suite.
    So first i save my old things (pictures, messages, ....) and then when i want to start the update i get ALWAYS this message:

    Even if my E71 is connected with my computer by USB !!!

    Hi,
    I guess the installation of Ovi Suite is corrupted, please follow the steps provided below to assist you in this regard
    Step 1
    - Go to Progam and Features in Control Panel
    - Click Ovi Suite
    - Click Repair.
    Once repair is completed then please restart computer and check.
    If Step 1 didnt work, then try the below step
    Step2
    -Go to Progam and Features in Control Panel
    - Click Ovi Suite
    - Click Uninstall
    Also uninstall the following f
    - Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver
    - PC connectivity Solution
    Then right click my computer, click manage.
    - Device Manager-Ports- If you find anything by name Nokia please unistall ( Dont remove anything else)
    Then reinstall windows Installer from the link provided below

    - Then restart computer.
    - Download and install Ovi Suite
    - Restart Computer again
    - Connect the device, dont open Ovi Suite and wait for all the driver to be loaded by windows.

  • Can't update C7-00 with Nokia Ovi Suite

    When I try to update my C7-00 with Nokia Ovi Suite, I get as far as where it displays the update version and brief description of it, then I click install and a warning pops up saying "don't disconnect your device or it may die" or so and next I get a disconnection!! The connection is re-established right away and the screen says "usb connected", I click next and the same thing repeats, I lose the connection and the screen returns to "usb connected" and repeats and repeats...
    I removed all Nokia related things from my PC and reinstalled Ovi Suite, but it didn't help.
    I haven't managed to install a single update with Nokia Ovi Suite. Last time I used the phone's built in update function as I encountered this same problem, but I'd really like to use Ovi Suite. What could be wrong?
    OS: Windows 7 Home Premium (64-byte)
    Nokia Ovi Suite version: 3.1.1.90
    Phone firmware: 014.002

    I ended up using the phone's built in update function – again. Only now after the update things have turned so that I can't sign into my Nokia account with my phone and as a result of that I can't use Ovi Store or Socials-application! Every time the login screen is attempted to open, the phone is stuck loading. I let the phone load over night but nothing happened, battery just went empty (fast). Shutting down the phone, removing battery and restarting again helped briefly, I was able to sign in but the problem came back just as fast and the phone is stuck loading again. I tried removing the battery again, but this time it didn't help. Sorry for off topic. Then back...
    Ovi Suite gives an option to reinstall the Anna update if there should be a problem with it, but the same connection problem prevents the reinstallation and my phone doesn't give such an option, so... Although I heared that restoring factory settings might delete the Anna update and if that happens I could reinstall using the phone... Confirmation to this ? (I'm getting a headache with this... Maybe I want an older version back... Such worked...)

  • Unable to update iPad 2 software and it's still in recovery mode.

    I have been noting some weird behavior on my iPad 2 I so tried to update my iPad to to iOS 6.
    Before doing it I tried to sync my apps to iTunes so I would not lose anything. I was unable to sync and a got a message that said "Unable to sync because the sync process faied to start". So to fix that I tried to download and install the iOS 6 update and the update fails due to a "corrupted download file please try again" message. Then I updated iTunes to the latest version and tried all the previous steps again producing the same results. In the process of doing this I somehow I got the iPad into recovery mode and I can't recover to orginal settings because install fails with the "corrupted download file pleas try again" message.
    So, hear I sit with a disabled iPad and now apparent way of fixing it.
    I am out of ideas on what to try next. Any suggestions what to do?
    Also note I did this with my MacBool which is hard wired to  my network. No wifi connection was involved.

    Are you getting an error of some kind when attemptign a restore? was the restore sucessful (broadcasted a message from itunes that it was complete)?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
    Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
    Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
    Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
    Open iTunes.
    Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
    (You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device)

  • ITunes 7 is unable to update Pod to Software Version 1.2

    my Pod is connectet properly to ITunes 7. Everything works great but if i try to update the Pod (G5 Video) ITunes disconnects it instead of updating it. Tunes tries on and on to update and the only chance to stop is killing the task.
    Any clue to this?

    Seems to be a common problem, I had the same thing. When starting the update, the iPod just gets ejected, then iTunes takes a minute to realize that it can't update due to an unknown error.
    I finally managed after a dozen restarts to update it, don't know why it worked this time. BUT: Now I try to restore my iPod to the factory settings, and the same thing happens: click "Restore", confirm Restore, and as soon as the progress bar comes up, the iPod gets ejected. iTunes continues to try restoring, failing with an unknown error.
    I would go back to iTunes 6, but then I also cannot restore my iPod, as 6 doesn't have a restore option. Plus, the previous iPod Updaters don't exist anymore, because Apple felt the need to integrate everything into one fantastic package... which is bugged.

    The option to update without the computer (Over the air) was made available with iOS 5. If your iDevice is using a version of iOS lower than 5, you will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to perform the upgrade. Use the Apple link below as a guide for the upgrade.

    Ovi says there's an update for my phone so I click for it to do the update & login.
    Update process then says that as the phone is connected via bluetooth it can't continue & I have to connect via USB.

    To update the phone through Nokia Suite, it requires a USB connection. Upon checking on the device specification, Nokia 113 does not support USB cable. However, you can still update your device by downloading it directly on the phone (FOTA):
    Select Menu > Settings > Device > Device updates.
    1. To check if there is an update, select Download device software.
    2. To download and install an update, select Download device software, then follow the
    instructions shown on the phone. The update may take several minutes. If you encounter problems, network service provider.
