    Error: 1013231 Unable to update database while in readonly mode for backup , how can i solve this problem ,plz can any one help on this
    Thanks

    Has somebody set the database ready for archiving, maybe some maxl has been run and the db has not been returned from read only mode.
    Try running the following Maxl (change app.db to match your app/db)
    alter database app.db end archive;
    Cheers

  • Resolution to error - Unable to update Database Statistics

    OK, If there's one thing i hate most about SAP, its the dreaded installation, I am always so paranoid, as to something will definitely go wrong,
    Lately i realized that it aint my mind , but the damn installation itself is pretty damn stupid. Why cant SAP leave the installation packaging to professionals like installshield...
    Unfortunately SAP doesnt think of it as a better idea, so until then lets try to resolve as many errors as possible thru these forums..
    Here's one error resolution ,i am pretty sure, many are checking for..
    Use the following procedure to resolve error
    <b>Warning - "loading of sql client library oci.dll failed"
    Error - Unable to update Database Statistics, Check BRCONNECT.log</b>
    The problem seems to be with the SAP Patch Collection InstallMaster disc Material No.(<b>51032143_13</b>).
    To resolve the problem, here's what needs to be done,
    1)Install DB Instance as usual.Then after the installation errors out due to loading of sql
    client library oci.dll ..
    2)I unsar the downloaded DBATOOLS.sar (Thanks for the Link Andreaz!!!)
    log into sapnet (eg. service.sap.com) with your user-id/pwd:
    -> downloads -> support packages and patches -> entry by application group -> additional
    components -> sap kernel -> now chose either 32 or 64 bit; either unicode or non-unicode ->
    sap kernel 6.40 -> windows server -> oracle -> download the package DBATOOLS Package for
    Oracle 9.2.x ... brconnect is part of that package...
    3)Copy the files in the Unsar'd package, as follows
         overwrite br*.exe to S:\usr\sap\R31\SYS\exe\run
         overwrite initSID.sap to S:\usr\sap\R31\SYS\exe\run &
    S:\usr\sap\R31\SYS\exe\nuc\NTI386
         overwrite libsbt.dll to S:\usr\sap\R31\SYS\exe\run &
    S:\usr\sap\R31\SYS\exe\nuc\NTI386
         overwrite sapdba_role.sql to S:\usr\sap\R31\SYS\exe\run &
    S:\usr\sap\R31\SYS\exe\nuc\NTI386
    4) Retry the installation again & Guess what!! it works....
    Warning-: I initially tried a shortcut by replacing DBATOOLS.sar on the installmaster disc, rather than following above steps, but that doesnt seem to work, the installation fails as as soon as Tablespace creation starts. So the shortcut aint a good one..

    Well, it looks like you resolved your problem yourself.
    you can send feedback to SAP directly instead of posting this here in a forum.

  • Unable to Update Database.

    Hi All,
    I was trying to load data thru load files and got the following message.
    Unable to update database while in readonly mode for backup
    Unexpected Essbase error 1013231I tried looking at Information Help Menu.
    I could not find the error number.
    Could anyone help.
    Thanks in advance.
    Bal.

    Hi Atul,
    Thanks for the help.
    The Readonly error got resolved.
    But still the following error is displayed when I am loading data thru load rule.
    To Brief you up, I had done a database corrupt check using validate command because of the following error. The information map asks you to do the same since the other parameters are in the affirmative ie sufficient disk space, not using addsin, File is present.
    *Unable to Read Information From [C:\Hyperion\essbase\app\SMC\PL\PL-BS-LD.rul]*
    Unexpected Essbase error 1019003
    I used the VALIDATE <error.txt> command and found that the database is not corrupt.
    I also used the export command to see if everything goes well. That also works well.
    Note: I do not have any data in the Cube. I had cleared all data.
    Can you please help ?
    Regards

  • Unable to update itunes or delete itunes

    I am unable to update or even delete Itunes on my pc (winsowds 7 )

    I can't update to Itunes 10.5, I keep getting an error message saying it can't update older version of Bonjour and the intstall stops. I have windows XP

  • Unable to update apps after 10.5 update

    I have been unable to update apps on my iPhone since downloading iTunes 10.5.
    I have an established connection in iTunes to my account and can download apps but when I when I click on "# Updates Available" I am asked to sign in again and then receive a message that the iTunes Store is unavailable and to try again later.
    All system software is up to date and I have update my iOS to 5. I am able to connect to the store via my iPhone and update there but do not understand why I can't view the updates on my Mac.
    Please help

    Please test after each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved. Back up all data before making any changes. Keep in mind that no one here represents Apple or can help with customer-service issues.
    Step 1
    A purchased app can only be updated by signing in to the App Store with the same Apple ID that was originally used to buy it. There's no way around that limitation, which also applies to free apps. If you can't sign in with the buyer's ID, delete the app and reinstall it. You'll have to pay for it again, if applicable.
    Step 2
    If you get the alert when trying to update a bundled iLife app, select the Purchases page in the App Store and locate the app in your purchase history. If there's a button marked ACCEPT on the right, click it.
    If you have a used Mac, the bundled apps were linked to the original owner's Apple ID and can't be transferred to you. Reportedly, customer service has issued redemption codes to some second owners who asked, but it's not guaranteed.
    Step 3
    If you're trying to update iLife or iWork apps that were installed from a purchased DVD, or if you have a refurbished Mac bought directly from Apple, contact App Store customer service for a redemption code. You may be asked for the part number of the DVD.
    Step 4
    From the App Store menu bar, select
              Store ▹ View My Account
    Enter your Apple ID password at the prompt. At the lower right corner of the window that opens, click the Reset button. Close the window.
    Step 5
    According to a report, the error can result from changing the language setting of your Apple ID account. I can't confirm.

  • How to compress (or cleanup) Sqlite database after delete?

    Is there a way to compress (or cleanup) a Sqlite database after a large number of rows have been deleted?
    For example, if I have a database file around 1Mb and delete all the rows the database file remains at 1Mb (despite being empty). If I then open this file in Sqlite Administrator and click on "CleanUp" the size goes down to 4kb.
    Is this functionality available from inside my app?
    Thanks

    I'm finally getting some time to look at this but not doing too well.
    Running the following code gives the below error message:
    NSArray *paths = NSSearchPathForDirectoriesInDomains(NSDocumentDirectory, NSUserDomainMask, YES);
    NSString *documentsDirectory = [paths objectAtIndex:0];
    NSString *path = [documentsDirectory stringByAppendingPathComponent:@"myDB.sql"];
    int success;
    if (sqlite3_open([path UTF8String], &database) == SQLITE_OK) {
    // My first delete statement
    // My second delete statement
    // My third delete statement
    // VACUUM STATEMENT
    const char *sql4 = "VACUUM";
    sqlite3_stmt *statement4;
    if (sqlite3preparev2(database, sql4, -1, &statement4, NULL) != SQLITE_OK) {
    NSAssert1(0, @"Error: failed to prepare vacuum with message '%s'.", sqlite3_errmsg(database));
    success = sqlite3_step(statement4);
    sqlite3_reset(statement4);
    if (success != SQLITE_DONE) {
    NSAssert1(0, @"Error: failed to execute vacuum with message '%s'.", sqlite3_errmsg(database));
    sqlite3_finalize(statement4);
    sqlite3_close(database);
    error:
    Error: failed to execute vacuum with message 'unable to open database file'.
    I know the database file is open ok because the rows are being deleted fine. The problem is just cleaning up the database file with the VACUUM command.
    Has anyone successfully run this statement on the iPhone?

  • Lync 2013 updating databases after updating Front End servers

    We have a front-end server pool consisting of 3 Lync 2013 servers and a back end of 2 SQL servers using SQL mirroring.  All servers are Windows 2008 R2.
    Following the instructions in
    http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2809243 , I verified that the servers were all ready for updates, then I ran the
    Stop-CsWindowsService -Graceful cmdlet to stop the Lync services on the first FE server, then I ran LyncServerUpdateInstaller.exe to install the updates.  After the updates were installed, I restarted the server, waited for Lync services
    to all start, then repeated the process on the next 2 servers in turn.  This was all successful.
    I am now looking at step 2 in this document, applying the back-end database updates, and I have a problem and some questions.  The problem is that all the databases had the principal copy on the mirrored SQL server.  I ran the recommended Invoke-CsDatabaseFailover
    -NewPrincipal Primary cmdlet repeatedly, using all the database types I could find, but I still have two databases (database names
    xds and lis) on the mirrored server.  Since the cmdlet requires a database type, what type of databases are the xds and the lis databases?
    Once I get that done, I an still unsure of exactly what to run to update the databases.  The KB article states to run Install-CsDatabase -ConfiguredDatabases -SqlServerFqdn FEBE.FQDN -Verbose .  Do I type this in exactly
    as stated, or is FEBE.FQDN a variable for our SQL server or some other entity in our environment?  If I do use the actual SQL Server name in that, do I run it twice, using the name of the mirrored SQL server the second time?
    Thank you very much for your help.

    EXEC SQL.
    TRUNCATE TABLE ABC.
    ENDEXEC.

  • Updating database after clicking on checkbox-row in a table

    Hello,
    I would like to update the database as soon as the user clicked on on a checkbox (boolean database entry) in a table.
    I tried to set the checkbox-row to 'auto-submit on change' and added the following code to the checkbox1_processValueChange
        public void checkbox1_processValueChange(ValueChangeEvent event) {
            // Get row
            RowKey rk = tableRowGroup2.getRowKey();
            //Set
            user_has_moduleDataProvider.setValue("right_read",rk,checkbox1.getValue());
            usrsDataProvider.commitChanges();
            user_has_moduleDataProvider.refresh();
        }However, this does not change the database entries.
    How can I solve this?
    Thanks.
    EDIT: sorry, solved. stupidity hit me! I have to use
    user_has_moduleDataProvider.commitChanges();of course.
    Admin: please delete. thx

  • Unable to recover database after rman recovery and database open resetlogs

    I am running Oracle 10.2.0.5 on OpenSUSE 9. I have been trying to upgrade the database to 11g, through dbua. I was getting stuck at one point during the Oracle Server install and the upgrade failed and I was forced to restore the database to an earlier backup.
    Below is the current place that I am stuck. As you can see I opened the database multiple times and reset the logs. Now I am afraid that my controlfile and redo log backups are out of sync and i can't get them back on track. Before when I actually got the database recovered RMAN would immediately throw:
    RMAN-06900: WARNING: unable to generate V$RMAN_STATUS or V$RMAN_OUTPUT row
    RMAN-06901: WARNING: disabling update of the V$RMAN_STATUS and V$RMAN_OUTPUT rows
    OPA-00600: ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: ...
    The database would open with ALTER DATABASE RESETLOGS but any query on non-system tables would fail and throw:
    ORA-04045: errors during recompilation/revalidation of LCRS_DEV1.FACILITY_REF
    ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [17069], [0x1158ED180], [], [], [],

  • Unable to update apps after converting iTunes account from UK to SG

    Hello all,
    I have contacted support ([email protected]), and after being served by countless support staff, none could really explain to me what I should/could do. All they have done after understanding my problem is to point me to "iTunes Feedback page".
    So here's the problem: I cannot seem to update my apps. This all happened when I switched stores. Previously I was using the UK iTunes store. But since I've completed my studies and returned home, I changed my billing information to a Singapore bank. Doing so converted my iTunes store account to the SG iTunes store. Clicking on the "search for updates" in the iTunes App library lists several updates available. But because I am in the SG iTunes store and my apps were previously purchased in the UK iTunes store, there is no way for me to update it.
    The strange thing is that my iPhone and iPad allows me to update any app - bought from the UK or SG store - without any problems. It is just that iTunes is rather picky about updating it. I have tried deleting a UK-purchased app and re-downloading the same app in the SG iTunes store, and two things happen. The first is that I won't get charged, since it prompts me "you have already purcahsed this item". I also notice that there is the "$0.99 Buy App" and not the usual "Download" label. The second is that despite the fact that I re-downloaded the app from the SG iTunes store, it still refuses to update it.
    I'm really getting annoyed at this. Does anyone have the same problem, if so, what did you do to resolve it?

    Hi,
    Didn't realize you were trying to access AppWorld.

  • Unable to update apps after upgrading to yosemite

    I have update my mavericks to Yosemite. But after upgrading , i m not able to update the apps. Its giving the error : "The update is not available for this apple id either because it was bought by a diff user or the item was refunded or canceled".
    It is to be noted that the i haven't changed my apple id.
