Unable to update Dreamweaver to 5.0.1

Please comment if you're having this problem.
Please see nearby thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3111941#3111941 for some background on this and related problems.
Thanks,
Allen

Hello,
It might be that there is a file missing...if you still have the original installation package, try installing it again using repair. If that succeeds, then try removing it. Also be sure that, as you do this, you are logged into the PC with the same account that was used to install the software...either that, or be logged in as Administrator.
Good luck!

  • Unable to update Dreamweaver CS5.5 - Update failed

I have recently upgraded to CC but have not installed Dreamweaver CC yet.
However, to organize my Harddrive, I placed all my CS5.5 apps in a subfolder, including Dreamweaver.
Using the Help>Update function, I tried to update using the 11.5.3 version, which failed.
The error message I receive is this:
    Dreamweaver CS5.5 11.5.3 Updater
    Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7
I am using OS 10.8.4, on a MacBookPro Retina (Early 2013).
    Any help on this?
    Peter

This is the very last update for CS5.5 -- issued  7/24/2012
    http://www.adobe.com/support/dreamweaver/downloads_updaters.html#dwcs551151
You might have a corrupted cache and/or personal config folder.
    Start by deleting your cache.
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/494811
If that fails to help, you may need to do a clean re-install.  Backup your preferences and custom snippets before you run the CS Cleaner Tool.

  • Unable to update Dreamweaver CC

Each time I try to update DW the response is "update failed". Any suggestions?

Mr. Binney, I realize you are trying to help me so I do not want to get into a debate with you. However, I would like to respond to your comments because I don't believe they are entirely accurate.
    1. "I asked you for details about the error and you did not respond."
In the same message where you asked about the error message you went on to say:
    "Try this: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-u44m1p7-installing-updates-ccm.html "
I took this to mean you already had the solution to my problem, which is why I did not provide additional details.
    2. "I provided you a link to an Adobe document about that error (and so did Preran)"
The link you provided said to uninstall DW and reinstall it. I followed the instructions in the link. Here is an excerpt:
Solution 2: Uninstall, and then reinstall the application.
Updates can often fail because of additional language files from the existing installations have been removed. Run the uninstaller and then reinstall the application and try applying the update again. Complete the following steps to uninstall the software:
    Mac OS
        1. Go to Applications/Utitlies/Adobe Installers.
        2. Run the applicable uninstaller.
I only heard from Pernan this morning, and yes he did provide the same link.
    3. "I recommended you use the Cleaner Tool"
Yes, you did. And when I used it, it erased all of the other CC programs I was using, such as PS, AI, and ID.
    4. "I provided you a link to where to download the replacement software."
I asked how I could recover the files that were erased by the Cleaning Tool. The link you sent me took me to a page where I am now having to reinstall each Adobe program to my desktop.
    5. " I'm sorry you find my efforts unclear"
I do. I feel like your responses were better suited to someone who has knowledge of how these systems work. I am not a techie and when you respond to an issue by sending me an article to read I assume that it has all of the information I need. I feel like I followed all of the instructions and ended up with more problems than I started with. If prior knowledge is assumed when you are providing assistance then we will inevitably run into problems. I don't know what a Cleaning Tool is or what it is supposed to do. If you send me a link and tell me to use it then that's what I'll do. When I see my other files that were not part of the problem being erased I know that I wasn't given all of the information. Maybe someone with more experience would have understood what you meant, but not all of us are experienced users.

In this log file I can see you are getting Error : U44M1P7 while updating the software
This Error comes where language packs for software are not installed properly on the machine.
I would suggest to update Adobe Application manager from
    Windows : http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773
    MAC: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4774
then try to install the update if still you are not able to update software and getting same error then uninstall all the Adobe software selecting remove prefernces.
After uninstalling the software run the Adobe Cleaner tool(http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and remove the leftovers.

  • Unable to open Dreamweaver using OS X 10.9.2

I recently updated to Maverick OS 10.9.2 and am now unable to open Dreamweaver CS5 11.0--an error message appears saying that Dreamweaver closed unexpectedly.  I've also tried installing Dreamweaver updates but I'm not able to.

Please try to clean your DW CS5 preferences by following the steps mentioned below:
Open “Finder” and press CMD+SHIFT+G to open the “Go to the folder” dialog
Type ‘~/Library’ (without the quotes; note the ~ sign before /Library) and click “Go”
    Navigate to “Application Support/Adobe/”
Locate the folder named “Dreamweaver CS5” and make a backup of this folder (this will be needed to restore vital preferences later)
Rename/Delete the folder “Dreamweaver CS5” (again without the quotes)
Create a new folder named “Dreamweaver CS5” (again without the quotes)
Create a new folder named “ab_XY” (without the quotes; for example: en_US; you can get this in your backup folder! where ab_XY is the locale in which Dreamweaver was installed)
Navigate inside the folder “ab_XY” and create a new folder named “Configuration” (without the quotes)
    Navigate inside the folder “Configuration”
From the backup folder, copy the following folders (if available/present on your system) and paste them inside the “Configuration” folder (please the attached screen shot “Restore_Selected_Preferences_CS5_Mac.png” for reference):
    CodeCollapse
    CodeColoring
    CodeHints
    DocumentTypes
    DVADialogPrefs
    Snippets
    Workspace
Open “Finder” and press CMD+SHIFT+G to open the “Go to the folder” dialog
Type ‘~/Library’ (without the quotes; note the ~ sign before /Library) and click “Go”
    Navigate to “Preferences/” folder
Locate the file “Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 Prefs” and rename/delete the file
Now try to launch Dreamweaver again and see if you still face the issue.
Please Note: After you have launched Dreamweaver, please ensure that you DO NOT launch “Adobe BrowserLab” panel. Please create a new workspace by following the steps mentioned below, according to your liking but please refrain from using “Adobe BrowserLab” panel as this is known to cause a crash in Dreamweaver on Mac 10.9.
Steps to create a workspace (without “Adobe Browser Lab”):
    Launch Dreamweaver
Locate “Adobe BrowserLab” (but don’t open it) and click the top-right-hand-side corner of the panel and  select the option “Close Tab Group”
Now, arrange the remaining panels in your workspace as per your liking
Go to menu “Window -> Workspace Layout -> New Workspace…”
In the “New Workspace” dialog, provide a name of your choice and click “OK” button
Also, you may like to visit this page: http://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/dreamweaver-java-se-6-runtime.html for a known issue of Dreamweaver not launching after upgrading to Mac 10.9 (Mavericks).
If the issue still persists even after cleaning your Dreamweaver CS5 preferences, please let us know. We would like to have a connect session with you to resolve your query at the earliest.
Also, let me take this opportunity to propose and introduce the latest Dreamweaver CC to you. Dreamweaver CC provides you the potential and ability to do much more and gives you the cutting edge in your business. You may like to take a look at its features at http://www.adobe.com/products/dreamweaver/features.html. I’m sure you’ll find more than what you have been looking for and you’ll love them.
Here's how you can buy Dreamweaver CC:
    Visit the link http://www.adobe.com/products/dreamweaver.html
Towards the bottom-right-hand side, locate “Adobe Dreamweaver CC” and click “Join” (please see attached screen shot “Where_To_Buy_Dreamweaver_CC.jpg” for reference)
Select “Month-to-month” OR “One-year” for “Plan”
Click the “Add to Cart” button
Follow the easy and descriptive step-by-step “Checkout” instructions
Please let us know. We are eager to help you.
    Thanks,
    Lalita

  • I am unable to launch Dreamweaver Trial version

I am unable to launch Dreamweaver Trial version which I have just downloaded. I am running Mac OS X 10.6.8 and have also performed a software update. Can anyone advise? When launching the application, I get the following error: Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2014.1 cannot be opened because of a problem.  Check with the developer to make sure Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2014.1 works with this version of OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and Mac OS X.

Dreamweaver 2014.1 requires OS X 10.7.5 or later to be installed.

  • Unable to update parts of Adobe Design Premium CS4

I had to reinstall Adobe Design Premium CS4. I know that there are several updates for this software because I had to do this a few weeks ago and was able to update all the applications that needed updated. This time, I was only able to update Acrobat Pro using the Adobe Update Manager. I was able to download the updates for Photoshop CS4 32-bit and 64-bit, but was unable to update any other applications in the suite. It seems like the updates have disappeared from the Adobe.com servers. There were updates for every other version of the creative suites except CS4. I also checked the FTP site and nothing was there.
I need the updates. How can I go about updating if they aren't on the server. Please advise and thanks in advance.

I ran the cleaner app like you instructed me to do. I tried that and it still didn't work. I tried to install on a different computer. It still didn't work. I know for a fact that the updates for CS4 Design Premium are over 700Mb and there are updates available for Photoshop (32 and 64 bit),Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Flash, etc... I have downloaded 323Mb for Adobe Services and Acrobat CS4. I have always been able to install the updates all at once.
Here is a screenshot of the error:
I have been able to recreate the error three times on my end. This means the issue needs to be fixed on Adobe's end.
    Thanks

  • Help! Unable to update Adobe CC applications

I am an active CC member but I am unable to update certain CC applications through the Creative Cloud desktop application or by using the *Updates* button under *Help* under each application. For some reason, the *Updates* button is always greyed out.
I successfully updated Muse, Edge Animate and Dreamweaver earlier today, but I am unable to update other applications like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc. Can you please help me out with this?
    Regards,
    RK

  • OSX: Adobe Creative Cloud unable to update (stall at 50%)

    Hey experts,
ever since signing up for Creative Cloud I have been unable to update any application as my regular user on OSX. After exchanging 23 emails with the Adobe support in 2013 I finally gave up and created a workaround in the hope that the Adobe developers would finally look into the issue and fix the bug. With the last update of Creative Cloud my workaround stopped working so I took time to do a complete reinstallation of Creative Cloud to see if the bug was finally fixed. It was not.
    The bug:
-Installation of Creative Cloud and Photoshop, Lightroom etc. through the Creative Cloud app works.
-Any try to update a CC applicaton (e. g. Photoshop CC 2014 results in the state "waiting" at 50%):
-Trying to update through the menu of Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 "Aktualisierungen"
resulted in the following error message:
Translation: "Update failed. Unable to apply updates. Adobe Application manager is already running. Close all instances of Adobe Application Manager before applying updates. etc."
What I tried to resolve the problem:
    What did not work:
    -Complete reinstallation of Creative Cloud:
         -Uninstall of all Adobe applications
-Ran the Adobe CC Cleaner tool
-Eliminated every single *[Aa]dobe*-folder on my disk including my profile.
         -Reboot
-Re-installation using a fresh CC download.
-The common 1st-level-support acts of desperation:
         -Rebooting
         -Checking the file system
         -Fixing permissions
-The bug even survived 2 OSX system upgrades
-Even tried to track down the bug myself which I gave up after having discovered the endless chain of Creative Cloud and AAM-Processes executing each other...
    What worked:
-Installing updates as another OSX user. (Which is cumbersome and to be honest I am unwilling to create a new profile and redoing the settings of all installed (especially non-Adobe) applications because of an Adobe bug...)
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  • Unable to update apps on iPad mini. I have even restored the iPad and now I can't download any of my previously purchased apps.

Can someone help me. I am using an iPad mini with iOS 7.0.4 with wifi connection. Have had no problems until recently when I was unable to update apps and then noticed that some apps would open but no data would be available in apps like intelicast and Pinterest. I have restored the iPad and now I am unable to download any of my previously purchased apps.

    1. Make sure iPad is using the latest software
    2. Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>On
    3. Make sure Time Zone is correct
    4. Reset iPad. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.

    alter database app.db end archive;
