Unable to update graphics driver on MBP (Windows 7)

Keep getting this error
I am using a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014). Installed Windows 7.
Went to google the error and they say is Microsoft Visual C++
But I have already reinstalled both the 2010 and 2012 version for both X86 and X64.

From http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/79893/en-us
However, please note that your notebook original equipment manufacturer (OEM) provides certified drivers for your specific notebook on their website. NVIDIA recommends that you check with your notebook OEM about recommended software updates for your notebook. OEMs may not provide technical support for issues that arise from the use of this driver.
Is there a specific problem/reason to try the nVidia driver rather than the one provided under Bootcamp? Does the BC driver not work properly?

  • Update graphic driver on Bootcamp (Windows 7), iMac late 2013

    Hi guys,
I googled a lot but there are way to many possible solutions...
I bought a late iMac 27" with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 775M 2GB. I installed Windows 7 (64Bit) for gaming purposes. Now I'd like to update the graphics driver but am not sure how to do it.
--> is it possible to update them directly via the official NVIDIA drivers or do I need some "special" drivers from Apple?
I don't want to mess up the boot camp installation since installing windows and especially doing all the windows-updates takes forever and a day...
thanks a lot for your help!

Install the driver provided by NVIDIA. In fact Apple uses NVIDIA drivers in Boot Camp, but they are very outdated, so they will not give you the best performance. To fix that, go to the NVIDIA website and install the most recent NVIDIA driver.

Of note there is a new AMD Catalyst Omega driver released earlier in the week that brings 5K resolution to AMD graphics cards. Here is the link (support.ad.com/en-us/download) to the AMD site. But none of these work with my iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014), Windows 8 bootcamp.
    Please advise.

  • Cannot update Graphics Driver

I have an HP Envy 4 1030-us.  Intel Graphics HD 4000.  I have even gone to Intel's forums for help.
    1) If I try to install the updated graphics driver - fails
    2) Uninstall old graphics driver, per Intel forum advice, restart computer, on restart old driver installs automatically.
    3) Uninstall old graphics driver, try to install updated driver, fails, restart, on restart old driver installs uatomatically.
Please don't suggest I have the wrong driver.  Any other suggestions warmly welcomed.

    Hi @DavidENJ ,
Thank you for your inquiry, I will do my best to assist you.
I understand that you are unable to install the updated driver for the   Intel Graphics HD 4000. Intel advised you to uninstall the driver and then restart before installing the new driver but you were unsuccessful.
I would try deleting the driver not uninstalling.  Once deleted it cannot reinstall it as it is no longer there.
The latest supported driver for Windows 7  and your notebook is  sp58046.exe   version 8.15.10.2712.
If you are trying to install a driver from the Intel website, it  may or may not work correctly.   Downloading or Updating Software and Drivers for HP Computers.
If you are still having an issue with installing the driver, try installing it in safe mode with networking.  Entering Safe Mode (Windows 7)
    I hope this helps.

  • Update Graphics Driver on Satellite L55-A

    Hi All,
I want to update Toshiba's L55-A5385 Graphics Driver. I have already updated Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 Display Adapter
Driver from Device manager but i expected it will update to version latest vesion 15.33.35.64.4176 (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/search?keyword=Intel+HD+Graphics+4000 ) but i'm still having 10.18.10.3282
version. Please suggest me How can i update Graphics Driver.
Also when i connect my Laptop to TV using HDMI cable it looses quality and also have small glitches. Please suggest How can i get best quality through HDMI cable and is this problem relates to Graphics Driver update?
    My laptop configuration is
    Model : Satellite L55-A
    Processor : Intel Core i5 3337U CPU @ 1.80GHz
    RAM : 6 GB DDR3
    GPU : Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000
    OS : Windows 8.1 64 bit
    Thank You
    Ketan

Download and install the latest driver from Intel's site. Don't use the update driver feature in device manager, it rarely updates the driver of the device.
In regards to hooking it up to your TV, make sure your HDMI cable is Gold plated not the regular silver coated cables. If the one your using is working fine with say, a blu-ray player, update the driver first and try comparing the results.

  • Updating graphics card drivers on windows

On the windows that runs off my mac, can I update the drivers or the video card, or do I have to keep the ones boot camp installed? Also, if I can update the drivers, will it:
    1. Affect how it works when OS X boots up
    2. Can I update the driver for the regular 8600 GT and ignore that I have the mobility version, 8600M GT?
    Thanks for any answers!

The drivers that you use in Windows will not have any impact on OS X. I would imagine Windows would not allow you to install the non-mobile version of the GPU as it really is not the same processor. Are you not happy with the performance of the graphics processor? Have you heard that using a different driver will improve your performance? When it comes to mobile graphics processors, you typically need (or should) use the driver from the manufacturer. The reason for this is because the drivers are typically optimized for the hardware in which the GPU is installed.

  • Unable to update Thinkpad Bluetooth SW on Windows 7, 6.2.1.1401 update dated 22 June 2010

Can anyone help me update my Bluetooth SW for Windows 7 32-bit? I tried to load Lenovo's latest software update from their website and receive a Windows 7 1935 error message: an error occurred during installation of assembly. Phone support is Atlanta was not able to help stating the two options I have are the Lenovo download that did not work, or using my ThinkVantange System Update Tool that will not update to this version. My current bluetooth SW driver version is for 2008 when I had Vista OS. I basically am trying to get a bluetooth headset (Motorola H17txt) to work with my computer. It pairs, but does not even function as a headset. The bluetooth headset functions properly on my other laptop using Windows XP. Thanks, Jeff

What version of Bluetooth software do you currently have installed?
Did you try uninstalling the Bluetooth software before installing the newer version?

  • T61p resolution modes limited after update graphic driver

This is the first place I ask for help after searching solutions on Google without success.
System is 14" T61p, WinXP, graphic card is FX570M, I sometimes play quite old games, which run in low resolution modes like 800*600 or even 640*480(well, I am an old person...). it worked fine before I updated the latest driver (version 6.14.11.7874) few days ago, then I got several problems.
When I run game StarCraft, the game screen will appear only on upper left corner, like a quarter of the whole screen, and the cursor moves in that range as well, the rest of the screen is black. I looked up the Blizzard tech forum, it says select 640*480 display mode. I followed the steps: display properties -> advaced -> adapter -> list all modes -> select 640*480, then the entire screen goes black for few second and back to 1400*1050 like nothing happened.
Another game Diablo2 failed to launch due to DirectDraw error.
I am not dressing the problem with particular games, but they all point to the display issue. As everything worked fine before I update FX570M driver. It seems new driver no longer support 640 by 480 mode(any point from Nvidia?). I wonder someone can help me before I roll back the driver.

Trying to diagnose drivers can become a black hole waste of time.
An alternative if you haven't already tried is using a legacy virtual machine then setting the VM into full screen.
I play StarCraft  and Rainbow6 on a Windows98 VM and avoid compability issues with hardware regardless of the system whether it is a desktop or notebook
Don't just sit there, take a second and use the Kudo's button to compliment the people who help you.

  • Update graphic driver

On Mac Mini, how do I make sure I have the latest Graphics Driver?  My GoPro Studio 2 software won't render movies anymore.  Go Pro says to make sure have latest graphic Driver. (Used to)
I have Mac Mini Mid 2010
    2.4GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo
    8 GB DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB Graphics Driver
    OS X 10.7.5

You can't really.  Unless they want to bother upgrading their software to include your graphics chip, you are basically out of luck.     You could always ask for the older version that worked well if you don't have a backup of it, and install the operating system that it worked previously on.
http://www.roaringapps.com/ may help you find alternative software that works on newer operating systems that does what you need.

  • Missing updated AMD driver in Bootcamp/Windows

I am running Windows 8.1 on my nMP (6-Core/D700), and all was fine until I installed "Dragon Age Inquisitions". The game requires updated drivers, but the drivers recently provided by AMD (ver. 14.11.2) are not compatible with Bootcamp.
The game will NOT run on the current drivers provided by Apple, and the drivers obviously need to be updated. The correct AMD drivers will not install on Windows in Bootcamp.
Apple, please get the AMD drivers for Bootcamp updated...

"Now AMD has actually updated their Mac drivers... To ver. 14.301, and I will try to see if they solve the problem. I am not very hopeful, since that is a seriously old revision."
I have been addressing a similar problem trying to run FIFA 15. At first I received error message stating I needed to update driver from 12.8 to 14.00. After many uninstalls and reinstalls of various version of AMD drivers I went for broke with the 14.301 version (i-Mac mid-20ll with yosemite and AMD 6770 video card running bootcamp).
FIFA begins it's start-up process and did not deliver message to update driver -- however it only went as far as the opening screen of Lionel Messi and froze (very unlike Messi indeed but messy just the same).
I attempted a Radeon Pro fix of forcing Vsync and enabling Tripple buffering with association to FIFA and Radeon card profile associated with Origin loading -- a shot in the dark with no positive (or negative) result.
Just uninstalled FIFA 15 and reinstalled and same result so need to give up on this and wait out a fix from Radeon/Apple. Will check back after a short vacation where there are no games except the ones in my head space : )
Keep working at it -- need to resolve!

  • Update Graphics driver

I have a DC5700 SFF with a Windows 7 OS and am trying to update drivers for my video card. There are no drivers for my OS when I search, only Vista and XP. The problem is: when I hook up the display to a plasma TV the computer rejects the monitor. It pops up for a second and then a sound is made such as when you remove a USB device.

    OK...
Download and run this driver.  You may get an unsupported operating system error.
Close out of any error windows.
    http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/swdDetails/?sp4ts.oid=3249662&sp...
Go to the device manager and click to expand the display adapters category.  Click on the Intel display adapter listed (or the standard vga adapter if that is what it shows).
Click on the driver tab. Click on update driver.  Select the browse my computer for driver software method and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp41523.
Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.
Reboot, and see if the video connection to your TV now works properly.
