UNable to update my nokia 5800xm to v60

plz help me out ..
my nokia 5800xm is not getting updated ... when i reach to the install page through nokia pc suit its showing that connection with the data cable disconnected and then suddenly it gets connected.
is this the prob due to my antivirus ... plz help me out

Have you tried to repair "Nokia connectivity cable driver" (right click) under Uninstall or change a program?
You also should use Ovi suite.

Otherwise, your phone might be running on a custom firmware made exclusively to your network provider and the update for it might have not been released yet.

Did you try the Nokia Software Recovery Tool already? There, what is your 7-letter code (Nokia Product Code)? That code identifies your firmware variant which determines the latest firmware version. We can check together, only with that code.

Unable to update my nokia 5800 XpressMusic

Hi,
have nikia 5800 XpresMusic and I have 2 problem.
1) firmware of my nokia is version10 and I can't able to update my fireware via PC suite. I attach the snapshot of error occur during the update.(141M online with pc suite).
2) when I switch of and then switch on the time and date reset and phone requested to set time and date.
P.S- I thik it have problem on bachup battery.

First off, you will get few answers here because you posted in the wrong section. This section is for music player problems. This post should go to Software Updates.
To answer your questions
1. Most likely PC settings are at fault. For example AVs and Firewall blocking the internet connection from NSU to Nokia Servers. I do not know your AV product, but most are known to do this if the AV program is not set up correctly. For some AV programs, like BitDefender, not even turning the program and firewall would help, as you must integrate into the system of the AV to allow NSU to connect. As for now, all I can suggest is to try and turn off your AV and firewall.
2. The resetting of the date and time everytime you switch off likely is caused by having a dead auxillary battery on the phone. You need to get this replaced in a Nokia Care Center. Or you could just set time and date to auto-update so that the phone will follow your network's clock and calendar when ever you turn it on.

Sir, I have downloaded the latest software update in my phone, however at the time of installation, it is displaying message 390 kb memory needed, delete some files. I have deleted all applications, messages and other files. But still it is displaying the same message. more than 5 Mb is free in phone memory. Kindly advise, how to install update,

You can take the following actions-
1. Clear the browser cache.
2. Move the content from the phone memory to the memory card.
3. Take a complete back up of the phone using Nokia Suite or else you will lose all your data. Also if you've set a password on the memory card & do not remember it then do take a back up of card content also as after reset/firmware update you will not be able to unlock the card without formatting it.
4. Type *#7370# on the main screen to rest the phone completely.
5. Try the update again.

i have updated my nokia 5800XM to v52.0.007 but i have a problem. i have many applications installed on the previous version. they still work on this firmware version but how do i remove or update them because most of them are not showing in the application manager, as like before in the previous version.

I'm afraid you're dealing with memory card corruption... If you can't access the App Manager under Settings, after you start the phone without the memory card, then the issue is more serious and quite likelly you'll have to hard reset the phone.... if possible save and backup messages, contacts, notes and bookmarks to your PC using Ovi Suite...
Also you should save everything you can and know on your memory card (photos, music, videos, etc) and format it... You should lose the maps previously installed and have to install them again.
Most often this type of corruption occurs with Widget Installer application that, on phone start-up, scans the contents of phone and card memory for install files for widgets... also themes on memory card don't do anything good to avoid corruption of it.
You can try PC suite to manually remove applications that might be causing issues, but my experience with it tells me that it will fail to adquire app list when phone is misbehaving like that....
Memory card corruption happenned me about two or three times, I formatted the card and everything worked after that... The biggest pain for me was to download the maps again.... nokia needs a offline installer of the maps.... downloading 3Gb at 40Kb/s everytime memory card gets corrupted it's not good...
5800xm on a blender ... will happen sooner than expected.... v51 is a failure as an update .... v52 just postponed its fate....

hi mate, do you have an Indian country variant 720 do you? i would check this and also liaise with Nokia Care in your country directly as to the status of the update. if the update has just been published recently, then it can take a few weeks before it rolls out as it is a phased roll-out.

Unable to update to 60.0.003

I am Unable to update my Nokia 5800 Xpress Music to 60.0.003. When tried first with old Software Updater, it said no updates available. I then updated using WiFi and was able to update to 52.0.007
On the website, it says - Latest software release for Nokia 5800 Xpress Music is 60.0.003
So i tried again with OTA using WiFi but got nothing. I then downloaded Nokia Suite and tried using that but got the same result.
What to do?

@vidhubhushan please, install the Software Recovery Tool on your Windows computer and just start it. No need to apply it. There, what is your 7-letter code (Product Code; 05…)? Then we are able to double-check your firmware variant which determines your latest version.

My Nokia 5800XM Damaged

Yesterday when I was updating my Nokia 5800XM, my computer went off at the process of installation. Right now my phone is damaged, the light is not coming up again, even when am charging the phone, it’s just dormant...................... Please I want to know if I can still fix my phone back to order or if the phone can no longer work for ever...........
