Unable to update my payment information

HI,
One of my transaction failed on the ITUNES STORE as it has stopped acepting virtual credit cards in india.
After that when i added a real credit card to the edit payment info page, it simply displays a message that Contact iTunes support for this transaction.
I have even tried to purchase gift cirtificate on the itunes store but it pops up a message that this account is not able to complete this transaction at this moment.
What should i do?

Hi there. I was having just the same problem, I couldn't get into change card details. Turned out that it is some issue with Firefox browser that I was using. I changed to Chrome browser and was able to update credit card details from there!

You should be able to update your payment info as described on the page that you posted from e.g. by logging into your account via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes. If that isn't working, then are you getting any error messages, and what are you trying to change your payment method to e.g. debit or credit card ?
If it's a debit card then I don't think that they are still accepted as a valid payment method - they are not listed on this page and there have been a number of posts recently about them being declined
If it's a credit card then is it registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, it was issued by a bank in your country and you are currently in that country ? If it is and if it's being declined then you could check with the card issuer to see if it's them that are declining it, and if not then try contacting iTunes support and see if they know why it's being declined : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management

Help! Can't update my Payment Information.

I've recently had to cancel my old credit card. I've just been handed my new one. Same bank, same billing address. I've been trying to update my payment information for two days now, with no success. iTunes says one of two things: "Your credit card informatin does not match your bank's records. Please enter a US credit card and matching address." Of course the credit card is US as well as the bank. I
've already called the bank twice to check that all the information is correct: billing address, credit card number and that the card is activated, etc. And they've said yes to all the aforementioned.
The other legend I recieve is: "Enter a valid security code." So it's either one or the other, but I just can't get it to work. And the bummer is that I can't update nor download anything from iTunes nor the App Store until I get this corrected.
Any takers? Please Help!

Try the troubleshooting help here > iTunes Store: My credit card's security code or zip code does not match my bank's records
And something else to try...
Launch iTunes then from the menu bar click iTunes > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Click: Reset warnings and Reset cache then click OK.
See if that helps.

i went back to check the Mac entry just to make sure it stuck. when i enter the CORRECT security code it seems to accept it. i click done and it seems to save the info. but when i re-log in, the security code and exp date are empty. this is the correct info.
this is so frustrating that you are not able to speak to someone by phone at Apple about this type of issue.

I received an e-mail from "[email protected]" to update my payment information, because the payment could not be executed.
Now i wonder why I have to update these information, because i didn't change my bank account since last month's payment.
