Unable to update Oracle SOA Suite Extension on version 11.1.1.2.36.55.36

Hi All,
I am trying to install Oracle SOA Suite Extension (following http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/install.1111/e13666/ojdig.htm#CHDFCHGA), but the 'Help/Check for Updates' didn't find 'SOA Suite Composite Editor'.
Installed JDeveloper 11g Properties:
About
Oracle JDeveloper 11g Release 1 11.1.1.2.0

Product Version: 11.1.1.2.36.55.36
Version
Component     Version
=========     =======
Java(TM) Platform     1.6.0_14
Oracle IDE     11.1.1.2.36.55.36
Team Productivity Center     11.1.1.2.36.55.36
Versioning Support     11.1.1.2.36.55.36
Here notice that its "Java Edition Version 11.1.1.2.0" not "Studio Edition".
To overcome the issue i reinstalled JDeveloper 11g (where i delete the environment variables, registry and installed folder) but same thing.
where as i tried to install the 'soa-jdev-extension.zip' but it requires the extension :
oracle.studio     min=11.1.1.1.33.54.07     Not installed and
oracle.j2ee     min=11.1.1.1.33.54.07     Not installed
Its very confusing, where the installed JDeveloper studio version is 11.1.1.2.36.55.36.
Advanced thanks for your kind cooperation.

I have the same problem. Did you find a resolution?

  • Unable to start Oracle Soa suite 10g on Windows 7

I am able install oracle soa suite 10g on Windows7 platform. But I am unable to start Oracle Soa Suite 10g. Wenever I am starting the SOA suite a new window is popping up the default color scheme of windows 7 is getting changed, but after that this window is disappearing without showing any error. From the task manager console I can see that a javaw process is getting started, but this opmn process is not getting started.
    System configuration -
    OS : Windows7
    RAM: 2 GB
SOA Suite installation : Default (Including JDK and DataBase configuration).
If you have any resolution to this strange problem please let me know. Thanks in advance.

I would be surprised if the amount of RAM in your machine is a limiting factor...
These blog posts contain useful info when running SOA Suite with resources on the low end of the spectrum. You could also use the [BPM AMI on Amazon EC2|http://www.deltalounge.net/wpress/2010/06/soa-suite-11gr1-ps2-notes-and-blogs/] ...

  • Oracle SOA Suite 11g vs jdevstudio11.11

In reviewing the SOA Order Booking Quikstart Guide it requires that you download and configure Oracle SOA Suite. Prior to starting this Guide, I had already downloaded the Oracle SOA Suite 11g Technology Preview which included two downloads (JDeveloper and the update to the design and runtime). I followed the install instructions from the same site.
    1) Having completed these two downloads and installs do I still need to install and configure the Oracle SOA Suite to run the SOA Order Quickstart Guide?
    2) My understanding was that the Oracle SOA Suite 11g Technology Preview included the Oracle SOA Suite, is this correct? If not correct, do I need to also install the Oracle SOA Suite (my downloaded version is soa_windows_x86_101310_disk1.zip)?
    3) When configuring the SOA Suite, per the guide, it states that I should go to http://loalhost:8888 but I do not get a connection. If I still need to install the Oracle Suite then I expect that this will solve this issue (per questions above) but if it already is isntalled with the SOA Suite 11g Technology Preview then I confused as to how to get this location to show up? I can get the SOA Console to show up but I don't know if this is the same?

The SOA Orderbooking Quickstart is for SOA Suite 10.1.3.x. If you want to run this sample, you do have to install SOA Suite 10.1.3.x. This is the current released version of SOA Suite.
The Technology Preview 3 is SOA Suite 11g. This version is in a pre-beta/preview status right now. It has the SOA Suite with the JDeveloper. This version has its own tutorials/samples.
In reply to your specific questions:
    1) the two downloads for the TP3 do not apply to the 10.1.3.1 SOA Orderbooking Quickstart.
    2) The 11g TP3 does include the 11g SOA Suite and you do not need to install the 10.1.3.1 zip to run the preview.
    3) When you run the SOA Suite 10.1.3.1, the default port is 8888. When you run the 11g SOA Suite inside JDev, the default port is 8988.
    Heidi.

I had installed Java 1.6.0b105 and Java SE Runtime Environment 6. I removed both and re-installed Java SE 6 update 4 (build 1.6.0_04-b12) but this made no difference.
I have McAfee installed and disabled it's services still no joy.
Please could someone suggest a solution to prevent this error?
    Thanks in advance

Installing from a CD or from a download? It may be corrupt.
I suggest you compare the checksum of the downloaded file with the checksum as listed on the download page.
The installer is supposed to use its own JRE, so it should not use your installed one.

  • Integration with PeopleSoft Applications Using Oracle SOA Suite 11g BPEL

    Hi,
I'm integrating BPEL with Peoplesoft FSCM 9.0 Application on tools 8.49 using Oracle SOA Suite 11g. The BPEL invokes the web service method generated from Peoplesoft Component Interface in a synchronuos manner.
I have deployed the BPEL in Oracle SOA Suite 11g using Jdeveloper successfully but I have problem in configuring the BPEL node in Peoplesoft side using Oracle SOA Suite 11g(FMW) . I had done the integration of BPEL with Peoplesoft FSCM 9.0 on tools 8.49 using Oracle SOA Suite 10g earlier successfully by configuring BPEL node properties as follows:
BPEL CONSOLE : http://Host Name:8888/BPELConsole (System with Oracle SOA Suite 10g server for deployment)
    BPEL DOMAIN : default
Using this BPEL node configuration, I was able to ping the BPEL console of Oracle SOA Suite 10g from peoplesoft and hence complete the integration successfully.
Now in order to acomplish Business rules and other functionality, the BPEL application has been developed in Oracle SOA Suite 11g using Jdeveloper 11g. This time I'm not able to configure the BPEL node in Peoplesoft for this integration as I'm assuming there is no separate BPEL console in Oracle SOA Suite 11g. All the BPEL deployments are administered in console (11g console used for deployment of BEPL)
http://Host Name:7001/em (System with Oracle SOA Suite 11g server - Fusion Middleware).
So when I Configured the BPEL node property in Peoplesoft as :
BPEL CONSOLE : http://Host Name:7001/em (System with Oracle SOA Suite 11g server for deployment)
    BPEL DOMAIN : default
I'm not able to ping the Peoplesoft BPEL node to the Oracle SOA Suite 11g. Hence I'm not able to proceed with my integration.
When I searched the OTN discussion forum on BPEL console for Oracle SOA Suite 11g, all threads point that there is no separate BPEL console unlike Oracle SOA Suite 10g. Also most of the articles for Integration with Peoplesoft Application using SOA 11g do not state any specific configuration setting for property of Peoplesoft BPEL node in order to integrate with BPEL 11g. The examples published in OTN still point towards screen shots of integration using SOA Suite 10g.
So I'm not able to proceed in this regard.
Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Girish

    typo error

    Hi,
I found this document from the Oracle Open World 2009 (maybe you have found it too) :
"Integration with PeopleSoft applications using oracle soa suite 11g BPEL" --> [http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/fmw4apps/peoplesoft/pdf/oow2009-bpel-psft.pdf]
And this could be a little more simple, but have a good step-by-step tutorial.
I think you must read this docs by now, but never come amiss.
    Hope this can help you,
By the way, if you can help me with this I'll appreciate it a lot.

  • "Oracle BPM  Suite 11g" and "Oracle SOA Suite 11g" components

    Dear Friends,
I am very confusing about the "Oracle BPM suite 11g" and "Oracle SOA Suite 11g" and would like your help on explanation as the following :
I have learn that In order to use "Oracle BPM Suite 11g" require to have "Oracle SOA Suite 11g" components to install first. Does it means that :
    1) When we buy "Oracle BPM Suite 11g" , we automatically get the "Oracle SOA Suite 11g" components as well ?
    2) IS it correct that these " these Oracle SOA Suite 11g components" are included :
    (a) Oracle BAM
    (b) Oracle Business Rules
    (c) Oracle BPEL Manager
    (d) Oracle Service Bus
    (e) Oracle Complex Event Processing
    3) Do we have a right to use all of these components listed in (2) ?
    4) Then the answers in (3) is "YES", then Is it correct when the customer buy the "Oracle BPM Suite 11g" , they no need to buy "Oracle SOA 11g" any more when they would like to implements that applications based on SOA in the future (without using BPM) ?
    5) What IF , the customer would like to start with "Oracle SOA Suite 11g" product and decide to buy only Oracle SOA Suite 11g first ; then later on in the future they would like to implement BPM projects in the future. Can you upgrade "Oracle SOA Suite 11g" to include "Oracle BPM Sutie 11g" and pay only the price different ?
I hope you can help providing the answers to these questions. THank you very much in advance.
    Best Regards
    Pearapon S.

This is a question best answered by your Oracle reseller or Oracle account manager to give you all the details but I hope this brief answer helps:
    - The Unified Business Process Management Suite (BPM Suite 11g) includes: BPM Studio, BPM Composer, BPMN Service Engine and Workflow Extensions, BPM Process Spaces, and BPM Process Analytics.
    - BPM Suite 11g requires the licensing of SOA Suite 11g for Oracle Middleware which requires a license for WebLogic Suite.
    - You can license SOA Suite 11g now and license BPM Suite 11g later.
Since the products are layered, I don't see this cutting into SOA sales at all. My personal view is that BPM on top of SOA is brilliant since it provides easy integration between human and automated tasks, builds on many of the SOA concepts that are key for a successful BPM implementation (functional, not the Oracle product), and uses the same IDE. The synergies extend past easy use of services; the same business rules and human workflow components are used between both products.

  • No soa_server1 ???? Oracle SOA Suite 11g config issue on WIN 7 64 bit

    Hello guys.
Happy new year. Here is the first Oracle SOA Suite 11g issue I met in this new decade:
While I tried to install Oracle SOA Suite 11g on my new win 7 home Premium, after all installation done, I found there was no "soa_server1" under new created domain(path C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\base_domain\servers) with just Admin server only - i have done similar install/config on win vista 32bit before everything was fine. I found following lines in the log(C:\Oracle\Middleware\logs\wlsconfig_20110102233019.log):

  • Uanble to open the App server console after installing the Oracle soa suite

    Hello,
after installing the oracle soa suite 10.3.1.0 we are unable to open the application server console. it gives "page not found" error.
We have installed on a Win2000 server instance.
We have selected all the default values while installing.
    any input is appreciated.
    regards

We had the same problem today:
    1. From cmnd line, from your ...\opmn\bin directory run "opmnctl startall".
    2. That will tell you where the log files are and what they're called. If the log file error was like mine, "Could not reserve enough space for your object heap.", then you need to try setting your maxpermsize=128 in oc4j_opmn.xml and opmn.xml
This resolved the issue for me, hope it helps.

I have not created clusters as i have only one soa server and so i think i dont need to use the node manager to start the soa server . I am starting the server using the command prompt .
Basically what i did and how i created the domains is below.
Note : NO cluster so NO node manager and everryting is by command prompt
    i selected the options like
    First domain:-
    Oracle soa suite,
    EM,
    JRF
(Admin Server + One SOA Server )
Deployment and servcies i chose by default and so-infra is down
    Second Domain:-
    Oracle soa suite for developers,
    EM,
    JRF,
(Admin server + One server )
Deployment and servcies i chose by default and so-infra is down
    Third domain:-
    Oracle soa suite for developers,
    EM,
    JRF,
( Only one admin server which is working fine )
Deployment and servcies i chose by default and so-infra is UP and running
    Fourth and fifth domain :-
Repeating the fiirst and second domain along with BPM and BAM this time
Deployment and servcies i chose by default and so-infra is down
This is all i did . Please correct me if am wrong.
    Thanks

  • Need help installing Healthcare adapter in Oracle SOA Suite 11.1.1.5.0

    Hi everyone,
I am fairly new to SOA Suite and am trying to learn it out of self interest.
The problem is that I want to do some POC for healthcare scenarios, since I am currently working in a Healthcare based project.
I have already installed Oracle SOA Suite 11.1.1.5.0. As part of SOA Suite installation, following components were installed.
    1. Oracle Database
    2. Weblogic server
    3. RCU
    4. SOA Suite
    5. JDeveloper
    6. SOA extension for JDeveloper
From this point on, to enhance SOA Suite for building healthcare scenarios, I am stuck up with following questions:
    1. What all to install ?
    2. Where can I find the required downloadable ?
    3. How to install it?
    Thanks everyone.

The problem is that I want to do some POC for healthcare scenarios, since I am currently working in a Healthcare based project. If you are going to work on a POC then please use Oracle SOA 11.1.1.6 for Healthcare Integration. It is not recommended to use PS4 (11.1.1.5).
    For PS5 (11.1.1.6), instructions are here -

You may post any query related to Oracle SOA Suite for HI in B2B forum -

  • CFGFWK-60814 ERROR: Installing Oracle SOA Suite 11gR1

    Hello,
I am new to Oracle SOA Suite and followed the instructions as per
    http://www.installationwiki.org/Installing_Oracle_SOA_Suite_11gR1
    to install the same.
Installing WLS, configuring schema, and installing SOA was successful; however, when I tried to create the domain at
C:\Oracle\Middleware\home_11gR1\Oracle_SOA1\common\bin>config.cmd, I am stuck with the problem below.
At section 4.4, step 3 as per the instruction link above:
On the 'select domain source' screen, when ever I select any of the three: Oracle SOA Suite / Oracle BAM / WL advanced ws extension, a big screen with the error
CFGFWK-60814: The template you selected can't be applied because the following dependencies have not been satisfied:
with jars as missing prerequisites appears, though all those jars exist in the correct location.
Can any one let me know how to resolve this issue and proceed further?
    Many thanks.

    Naras.

  • Oracle Coherence Examples with Oracle SOA suite 11.1.1.4.0 and JDeveloper.

    Hi,
I am new to Oracle Coherence. I was looking for examples implementing Oracle Coherence step by step so as to get a basic understanding using JDeveloper but most of the examples available are using Oracle Service Bus and Eclipse.
Could anyone please help me in providing link with examples using Oracle Coherence with Oracle SOA suite 11.1.1.4.0 and JDeveloper.
    Thanks for the needful.
    Cheers,
    Varun

    Hi Varun,
Please find the answers to your questions below:
    1) Could you please let me know how to use this system property -Dtangosol.coherence.override in my application so that I can coordinate between the cluster used by my application and the one started for using Coherence Node.
You need to specify this property in the Java Options of your server or cache node startup script.
    2) I was trying to understand how to use this tangosol-coherence-override.xml but the document is pretty confusing. I am not able to understand that whether I am suppose to use it at server level or at application level.
I would suggest extract the coherence.jar and you it would be important for you to have a look at the tangosol-coherence.xml and tangosol-coherence-override.xml. This file is used to override any of the properties specified in tangosol-coherence.xml for your cluster configuration for example, clustername, multicast ip and port or WKA for unicast, logging and so on.
    3) Another point is how to coordinate among tangosol-coherence-override.xml, coherence-cache-config.xml and -Dtangosol.coherence.override system property from my application
Ideally you should specify in the java options of your application startup but you can also sepcify using System.setProperty("property", "value") in you code for specifying the various properties
    4) How to use the cache updating mechanisms from an application?
I am not clear what do you mean by cache updating mechanisms? If you mean how you can update the cache from application then you can use simple Put, Entry Processor and so on. Refer NamedCache APIs to start with for operations but there many other ways to update the cache from within application or otherwise
    Hope this helps!
    Cheers,
    NJ
