  • Unable to update Premiere Pro 2014.0 to 2014.1 - Creative Cloud says it's 'up to date' (Mac - Yosemite)

I have a creative cloud subscription and two computers. One at the office, and one at home.
I started a project at the office and wanted to finish it at home. But Premiere Pro won't open the project at home because it says it was created with a higher version of the app. But it says I have the latest version.
When I go to 'About Premiere' menu, it says I have version 2014.0, but at the office says 2014.1. I've tried logging out form CC, restarting the imac and logging in back. I've tried uninstalling every adobe app and reinstalling, but each time I get the 2014.0 version installed.
Please help. Thank you in advance.
    Cheers.

it's not the same problem but has the same solution.
but if that solution fails, update manually:  http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-2014-updates-links-windows.html

  • Unable to update Premiere Pro CC 7.0.0 to latest version

I am on Mountain Lion running a trial installation of PPro CC 7.0.0
I was having issues with Multicam Sync and recommened I upgrade to the latest version.
However, my CC installer says I am "up to date" and likewise, within PPro CC it says I am up to date if I go to Help-Update. (With version 7.0.0)PP
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling PPro, as well as uninstalling my old copy of PPro CS6.
I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the CC Installer itself per the guide on this help area.
The program opens and runs, and updating gives me no errors. The program just seems confused in thinking that I have the latest version, 7.0.0 (342)
Ay help greatly appreciated, thank you.

    Hello,
as strange as it may seem I fear it's a challenge for Adobe's Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.
Sometimes - for whatever reasons - CC doesn't "want" to work. In this case you should CC completely delete and reinstall by help of Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. (A try to uninstall by own resources is not enough!)
I quote: ... helps resolve installation problems for Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Creative Suite (CS3-CS6) applications. The tool removes installation records for prerelease installations of Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications. It does not affect existing installations of previous versions of Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications.
Please use: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html  and follow the prescribed sequence of operations
If necessary and for further questions and if "open" please use chat, I had the best experiences.
    Hans-Günter
    P.S.
As you said, sometimes the "opm.db file" is the culprit.

  • Unable to install Premiere Pro update 7.1

I've been unable to install Premiere Pro update 7.1 on a Mac running Mavericks.  I've made three attempts over as many days.
For what it may reveal, here is the install log.  Any ideas?
[Please don't post full longs to the user forum.]

Try using the "adobe cleaner tool" (you'll find it online) to uninstall Premiere Pro. Reboot. Install Premiere Pro with the creative cloud panel from the apps list. It should work fine

  • Error code U44M1P34 when trying to update Premiere Pro and After Effects- tried everything, nothing works

I am out of ideas here. I had several program installed for months with no issues. Every update was fine. I haven't moved any installations or changed configurations, etc. I have probably a dozen CC apps installed or more.
Then out of nowhere, I start getting an error U44M1P34 when trying to update Premiere Pro. After Effects updates give me a similar error.
    1. Tried uninstalling these apps, then restarting, then installing again, but no luck. It tells me that installation was successful, but an update failed.
    2. I tried clearing all temp files, etc. No luck.
    3. I uninstalled EVERYTHING Adobe related on my computer. Restarted. Ran the Cleaner tool as admin. Restarted. Installed Creative Cloud then tried to install Premiere Pro. Same problem.
So after all that, including putting my work on hold so I can uninstall everything from my machine and try all this junk, it still gives me an error. I can't update those two programs, and maybe more(hard to say since some programs haven't had updates since this started, so it might be worse than just those two).
I was able to install programs like Fireworks and Muse without issue since these problems started.
I've pretty much read every post of every thread where this error message is at. I've looked at my log files, but don't see anything fatal(please tell me what I'm supposed to be looking for as the instructions given are vague at best).
I just need to get this stuff installed and updated. Any ideas? Since I've literally removed Adobe's presence from my computer, then started from scratch, what else is there to try? I haven't moved ANYTHING to another drive or partition. Everything is in the same place it was since 10 months ago when I started CC.
I'm running Windows 8.1 Update 1 64-bit. 16GB RAM, hundreds of GB of HD space remaining. Geforce GTX760m (also have the Intel 4600 integrated graphics, for whatever that's worth).
I've run both PP and AE  just fine, and they even run fine without the update. But I WANT to update them.
Ideas or thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.
    Brent

Well, the Adobe rep hasn't called me yet.
The good news though is that it's no longer an issue. Since the 2014 versions of the Adobe CC apps were released today, I was able to install/update just fine. So it was something with the previous update that was broken, or something like that.
FWIW, the new 2014 editions are fantastic so far. Some great improvements that I'm happy with. I just wonder whether this update issue will rear it's ugly head again with a later revision?
Time will tell. Thanks for the help regardless!

  • Can't update Premiere Pro CS5.5.2?

When I attempt to update Premiere Pro CS 5.5.2 by clicking Help, and then Updates, I get an all-black/dark gray pop-up screen that says Adobe null at the top left, with a blue loading bar - and that's it.
I am currently using CS 5.5.2
    Windows 7
I checked my Symantec Endpoint Firewall and ensured that all Adobe programs are allowed, and not blocked. Then I restarted my computer, and first verified that all Adobe programs are allowed access, and then I attempted again to update Premiere Pro, and I still encountered the Adobe null error pop-upscreen.
How can I get this program to update? I want to be sure and have the most recent codecs and etc.
    Please advise. Thanks in advance.
Here is a screen shot image of the pop-up error screen:

    Hi John,
Thanks for your response. However, from the link you provided, it looks like CS 6.0.5 is the most recent CS version.
So I once again tried to update to CS 6.0.5, and I unfortunately get the same Adobe null pop-up screen I reported in my original post here.

  • Update Premiere Pro CC

When I try to update Premiere Pro CC it immediately goes to 50% and then fails.

Kindly try to update the patches manually from the link: http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-updates-direct-links-windows.html.
Follow the very important instructions before download.

A few customers reported a similar problem in this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5847024#5847024.
They reported getting an update error: U44M1P7. Are you getting the same error? Some other error?
One of them reported that the cleaner tool here resolved his problems: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

  • Updated Premiere Pro Help, and an update on my role

I just updated Premiere Pro Help, and now I'm in Technical Support:
    http://bit.ly/bQ9eQO
In my new role, my job is to provide "online, one-to-many" technical support for Adobe's professional video products. In other words, I'm supposed to spend even more time helping out on forums like this one.
    So, howdy.

    > Could the help files have an indicator in the filename to show which
    is the most current.
    eg  premierepro_CS5_help_july2010  (or
    vers001)
Putting a date in the file name of the PDF document would cause some problems, since we need to link to the files in a consistent way. But there is a date in the footer of each page other than the cover page.
Of course, the HTML version on the Web is always up to date. When talking with someone online, I always just include a link.

  • Updated Premiere Pro CC and now it won't launch; was working before

I decided to update my Premiere Pro CC and I haven't gotten past the splash page launch ever since.  Now, all I get is the splash page for a second and then the Windows alert that it has stopped working. There's not even an "initalizing" log running across the bottom of the graphic. Meanwhile, Audition CC will still open without a problem. As I said, Premiere Pro was working perfectly today before the update.
    Things I've tried:
    updating drivers
    Windows updates
    All compatability modes
Deleting program, downloading again and re-installing
Any suggestions?  I'm stumped!  I'm on Windows 7, by the way.

Type Crash on Launch into the forum search.  You'll get all the known fixes.

  • Unable to launch Premiere Pro CC

Hi, I've downloaded Creative Cloud, and Premiere Pro.
On launching Premiere Pro, it gets to "ImporterQuicktime.prm"
Then I get an error message: "Premiere Pro could not find any capable video play modules"
I've signed in and out of CC, updated the graphics drivers & tried running as administrator.
    It worked fine with CS6.
What next? I'm hoping to move to CC on 3 other edit desks - so I need to see one running right first!
    System spec:
    Windows 7 Professional
    Intel core i7-3930K CPU @ 3.20GHz
    32gb ram
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti GeForce driver 320.18

    Hi, same here.
    My System:
    Dell Preciion M4700
    Windos 7 64 Bit
    Intel i7-3740QM
    ATI FirePro M4000
    8GB RAM
With my old graphic card Premiere crashed with the Message "Premiere Pro could not find any capable video play modules" or just right after start. I´ve tested a lot, updated Drivers and finally bought a new graphic card because my old one (Nvidia K1000M) was not listed as compatible card. With this new card, Premiere crashed instandly.
Finally the Vista compatability mode does the job. Whats wrong?
    Thanks,
    Jens

  • Some sequences are lost after updated premiere pro 2014

I downloaded trial ver of pp cc2014 last month and now got updated to 8.1 . before i had trouble with opening file  it was newer version of premiere pro edited and i couldn't get my file opened up again untill i have updated premiere cc 2014 in adobe application manager. and now i could get my file opened. but the main sequence is lost, i couldn't even find it in project panel either. i clicked open project choose the one i have edited before which is a month ago. and it says audio filter missing and bunch of codes. Whats happening here? please help!

Go to HD/Library/Quictime and delete all .component files. It appears that the correct procedure is to delete all QT components and everything so far works. I have to do this every time I run after effects or Premiere Pro, and remember to put them back in again after shutting down software. Any ideas why this is happening folks?
