Unable to update profile

Hello,
Tried to update my profile (i.e. change my name - it should be Julian, not Julia! Also change address of my employer, it is now Oracle UK instead of Oracle US).
The My Profile page refuses to be saved due to my not having entered a state/province (this is invalid for a UK address!) and then when I enter one anyway, it doesn't accept it.
Thanks.
Julian

The form is also missing the State/Provenance field, so when you make other changes it informs you that there is an error and that field is empty. The result is that you cannot make changes to your profile.

I'm sure this has already been reported but as a FYI when attempting to update your profile for OTN you are not able to because for the section for "Electronic Subscriptions" there are no boxes to check now, so when you click continue you get the information error page stating "Please select at least one of the Oracle electronic subscription/communication offerings........"
This is the section with no boxes to click:
    Electronic Subscriptions
Please check the box in front of the e-mail subscriptions and communications you would like to receive.

    Oracle Communications
This is the Information error page displayed:
    Information Error
We're sorry. There was a problem in processing your request.
Please select at least one of the Oracle electronic subscription/communication offerings or express your desire not to receive electronic communications from Oracle in the future by checking unsubscribe. You can always return to Oracle.com to adjust your preferences.
Please click the "Back To Previous Screen" button to fix the problem.

  • OSX: Adobe Creative Cloud unable to update (stall at 50%)

    Hey experts,
ever since signing up for Creative Cloud I have been unable to update any application as my regular user on OSX. After exchanging 23 emails with the Adobe support in 2013 I finally gave up and created a workaround in the hope that the Adobe developers would finally look into the issue and fix the bug. With the last update of Creative Cloud my workaround stopped working so I took time to do a complete reinstallation of Creative Cloud to see if the bug was finally fixed. It was not.
    The bug:
-Installation of Creative Cloud and Photoshop, Lightroom etc. through the Creative Cloud app works.
-Any try to update a CC applicaton (e. g. Photoshop CC 2014 results in the state "waiting" at 50%):
-Trying to update through the menu of Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 "Aktualisierungen"
resulted in the following error message:
Translation: "Update failed. Unable to apply updates. Adobe Application manager is already running. Close all instances of Adobe Application Manager before applying updates. etc."
What I tried to resolve the problem:
    What did not work:
    -Complete reinstallation of Creative Cloud:
         -Uninstall of all Adobe applications
-Ran the Adobe CC Cleaner tool
-Eliminated every single *[Aa]dobe*-folder on my disk including my profile.
         -Reboot
-Re-installation using a fresh CC download.
-The common 1st-level-support acts of desperation:
         -Rebooting
         -Checking the file system
         -Fixing permissions
-The bug even survived 2 OSX system upgrades
-Even tried to track down the bug myself which I gave up after having discovered the endless chain of Creative Cloud and AAM-Processes executing each other...
    What worked:
-Installing updates as another OSX user. (Which is cumbersome and to be honest I am unwilling to create a new profile and redoing the settings of all installed (especially non-Adobe) applications because of an Adobe bug...)
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  • Unable to update 5.0.1 or 6.0.1 Download spins indefinitely using OSX10.6.8

I have been unable to update the 2 latest versions of Firefox.
    I'm using OSX 10.6.8
I get a warning that one of my add-ons (Contribute) is not compatible and will not appear on my menu bar.
Then the download scroll just spins and spins.

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop
    * Firefox 6.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
    * Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
    * Install the new version that you have downloaded

  • I get a message popup saying unable to update because I do not have system permissions required when trying to go to 3.6.13 on my IMac,but I am the system administrator.

I tried updating from 3.6.12 to 3.6.13 on my IMac and get a pop up window that says Unable to update because I do not have system permissions required to update. If I download the latest version and try to replace the existing version it says "The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have permission to access some of the items." I called Apple and made sure I was the system administrator and I am. I made sure that the two other users did not have FireFox open and it still fails the same way.
Note: This problem resolved itself for some reason but I still want to thank everyone for their suggestions.

  • Unable to show profile pictures and images in face...

Hi I have installed facebook app. After upgradation to 8.1 is few weeks later facebook app unable to show profile pictures. Tried reinstallation many times. Is there any problem with8.1 update ? i am facing so many issues.

Hi, disouza. Are you still encountering the same issue with your Facebook app? If so, have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling it? Does it happen regardless of the internet connection you're using? Make sure that your connection is stable by accessing several websites via the IE app on your phone or using other web-based apps. You can also try visiting your Facebook account via your phone's browser to see if the profile picture and photos are working fine.
BTW, this issue started after installing the official Lumia Cyan to your phone, is that right? Did you also update your system apps? To check for pending updates, go to Store> ...> downloads.
In case you are no longer having the said issue, would you mind sharing how you fixed it for the benefit of other users who may experience the same?
Good day and welcome to our community.

  • Unable to update Requester and Deliver to location field in iProcurement

    Hi,
I am unable to update the 'Requester' and 'Deliver to location' field in iProcurement Preferences.
i am trying to change the default settings in IProcurement Prefernces(MyProfile page(xml))
    1)Navigation ->iProcurement Hompage->Preferences->iProcurement Preferences
2)Modified Requester and Deliver-to-location and clicked Apply changes
3)Logged Out and again logged In. the changes are gone. Its showing me the old data.
Please help..if someone faced this issue..
    I am using Oracle 11.5.10.
    TIA.

    Hi TIA,
    check out the profile options:
ICX: Override Location Flag or POR: Override Location Flag
ICX: Override Requestor or POR: Override Requestor
The naming varies in the manual compared to my test-environment. Flipping this did the trick for me!
They control whether a user is allowed to override the default requestor and the deliver-to location in the requisition and apparently also the preferences.
The following profile options holds the values set by a user in the preferences as per your requirement:
POR : Preferences - Deliver to Location
Enables requesters to set their preferred deliver-to location.
    POR : Preferences - Requester
Enables requesters to set a default requester

  • Configurator is 'Unable to Update iOS". Error 11 (Preflight options copy fail)

I'm attempting to restore 720 iPads to factory settings, and place a Configurator profile on them.
I'm using a Bretford Cart that holds up to 30.
Everytime I run configurator, it's unable to update iOS, and it specifically says that It "failed to copy preflight options during recovery mode restore. Error 11."
Half of them work, and are done correctly, and the other half give the error.
Some of the iPads are on iOS 5, I'm sure, considering the amount of iPads that I'm dealing with. Could this be the issue?
    What am I doing wrong?

It's been a while, but I think I had to finally completely reset all of them to factory settings, and run them through the entire system again.
It could be the cart (and configurator) having a problem applying settings to multiple OS installs. I'd put my money on this being the issue.

If i have to download firefox again from their website will i loose all my favourate websites in my favourite listings.

    * Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    * Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
    * Firefox 3.6.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
    * Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
    * Do not remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

  • IPhone 4.0.1 unable to update iTunes/AppStore Billing Information (county)

+*iPhone 4.0.1 unable to update iTunes/AppStore Billing Information: Prevents Purchasing/Installations*+
++When accessing the AppStore I am prompted to update my iTunes billing information. This process generates a loop when selecting the county and will not update. This prevents purchases or free downloads from the AppStore.++
    Details:
+I have a new iPhone 4. When I received it I activated the phone, restored from back-up and updated the software to 4.0.1. After the software update was complete I tried to install Free and Purchased applications from the App store. I cannot install any free or purchased iTunes application, music, or video.+

I select the county and select done the screen loops for the county information.
    *Things I have tried:*
    - Updated billing information via iTunes on the Mac (Updates successfully) - but will still prompt for updates on the iPhone.
    -Restarted iPhone (same)
-Erased iPhone and activated as new without restoring from backup (same)
-Contact iPhone support (no other advice then what happened here the first time) the second attempt at support has resulted in a call with iPhone and iTunes Support.
I will post back my findings, but has anyone found a solution.

The only difference I noticed was that the card that kept looping was a visa check card, verse a credit card (mastercard). I am not sure if there is a problem within the iPhone application. I don't believe this to be an iTunes or App store problem because the account profile will accept the card information via a computer. This problem seems to be within the address verification process the iPhone/app store does only on the iPhone platform. Apple support and iTunes support seems to be clueless. My original post is the only way I've gotten it to work.

  • Ops Center - Updating Patches using the Update Profile tab

I am unable to create a new profile in order to update patches onto an asset. When trying to create a new profile in order update assets, I'm unable to access any option on the "Update Profile" tab. According to the manual , http://wikis.sun.com/display/EMOC11g1/Creating+an+OS+Update+Profile , that indicates that the option is disabled and the resolution is to register and manage your assets. The problem at hand is that despite registering and managing my assets I'm still unable to create a new profile. Could somebody give me insight on what else I could do in order to carry out the task of updating assets with patches.

No the update catalog action is not active. Yes it is in connected mode and I'm unable to define a default local library (all features under libraries are mostly disabled). Yed, I have supplied connected authentication usernames and passwords. How do I go about enable these features?

I am unable to update my apps on my iPhone 5. As I select the update button it asks for my password but the goes back to like it was. • Unable to update apps on iPad mini. I have even restored the iPad and now I can't download any of my previously purchased apps.

Can someone help me. I am using an iPad mini with iOS 7.0.4 with wifi connection. Have had no problems until recently when I was unable to update apps and then noticed that some apps would open but no data would be available in apps like intelicast and Pinterest. I have restored the iPad and now I am unable to download any of my previously purchased apps.

    1. Make sure iPad is using the latest software
    2. Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>On
    3. Make sure Time Zone is correct
    4. Reset iPad. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.
