Unable to update server.... argh.

I finally upgraded to Snow Leopard. Took so long, I had to call apple since it isnt even available in stores anymore! I want to get Mountain Lion. Apparently, this is a long road. my software for iMac lists me at 10.6.3. I have to individually install each update!!! Is there any way around this? To do it individually will take days!
Plus, it wont even allow me to even start! I went to the next download in line (10.6.4). Once I agree to the Terms, it takes me to Select a Destination. There is a yellow triangle explanation mark saying that
"Mac OS Server Update Combined can't be installed on this disk. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update."
I have 59.43GB available. I am at a loss and stand still. What does that mean? Why can't I keep updating?

Wait, are you actually running OS X Server, or are you running regular OS X? If you're running normal OS X, there's absolutely no need to "install each upgrade individually" - nor have you ever had to! Just run Software Update, and it will automatically download and install 10.6.8 directly from 10.6.3.
It sounds like you might have tried to install a server update over a client version of OS X. Just run Software Update, or search for the combo 10.6.8 update if you must do it manually.

You may have triggered some intermittent database issues but it should be running smooth by now. Let us know if you still see server errors.
Also, if your addons appear to go missing after updating there is a workaround http://blog.mozilla.com/addons/2011/09/28/issue-discovered-with-firefox-add-on-upgrades/ And there is a 7.0.1 fix on its way.

TS3694 Mac unable to connect with ITunes Update Server - why?

Whenever I try to check for updates on iTunes on my Mac, I get this message: iTunes can’t verify the identity of the server “ax.itunes.apple.com”.
Followed by this: The iTunes update server could not be contacted. Please check your Internet connection, or try again later.
There is no problem with the internet connection, and all other things seem to load properly.
It means I am unable to update my iphone either, and am stuck on IOS 4.3.1.
Any suggestions on how to solve this please?

Try out the following steps. Usually step 1 will resolve the issue:
Update iTunes to the latest version.
If you have a firewall, your settings may be preventing you from connecting to the iTunes Store. To configure your firewall, please refer to the "Blocked by firewall" section in this article.
You may need to reset your keychain. Connection issues are occasionally caused by keychain issues. Click here to find out how to use Keychain First Aid to resolve any issues with your keychain.
If you are receiving a specific error message you may want to see, the "Specific Conditions and Alert Messages" section in this article as needed.
If the issue still persists, contact your internet service provider and confirm that the ports and servers in this article are enabled over your network.

Unable to connect to network iphone update server

I have an Iphone 4 that has been slow for a couple of days , today it started to open app different apps ( click on one and another opened) so i decided to restore and update it . Was running 4.3 . It never updated , has locked in recovery mode . when i try to restore i get a message that the iphone update server network unable to connect . I am running 10.5 itunes on a windows 7 . the iphone is visible in itunes , but when i check the diagnostic it said there is now iOS device connected . Is this a software issue or a hardware issue ? any help would be appreciated .

I have been unable to update my Ipad2 software. I get the message that My computer is unable to contact the software update server. Check interner settings or try again later. If there are problems with updating then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version and delete the Firefox program folder to remove any leftover files.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

*Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data because all profile folders will be removed.

TMG - problem with server that is unable to update the configuration

I use Windows server 2008 EBS and all servers are virtual and instaled on ESXi host. Forefront is instaled on secure server. On basic configuration the firewall in runing but the CSS and adam are not in sync. Even on a small change in rules the firewall goes in lockdown mode. Even if a start the service in firewall goes in lockdown mode in 5 minutes. When i change the rule to basic settings the firewall start to work ok. I rapair CSS and now the CSS and ADAM are in sync but again when i change even a letter in a firewall rule, firewall goes in lockdown mode in the moitoring the configuration is unable to update in is not in sync any more. And now if a restart the server the configuration is also unable to update and is not in sync. Also it show that the last time he was synced in 19.12.1999 ?????
I am working on this problem for weeks and i cant find the solution. Is there a problem with CSS or ADAM?

I have the same problem, I have an array with NLB working properly, buy, without any reason I can notice that configuration status is in UPDATING, so, I have to apply the maintenance and patch procedure to restart the server and to recover from this state,
somebody knows what can I do?
In the other hand, I´d wish also to know if there is any particular alert I can enable to send email alert and then to schedule the restart.

If you continue to receive this error please check that the virtual appliance is configured to use the dynamichost for updating:

Once 'dynamichost' is entered, the current dynamic host in use will be displayed in the prompt [ ]>, as seen above.

Updater is not connecting to update server, unable to dowload new version of Firefox.

Every time when I'm prompted to upgrade to a new version of Firefox, the updater refuses to connect to the update server. When downloading it manually I get a message that says "Unknown disk image". What to do? As it is a security update it would be nice to get it downloaded...

I tend not to use my Mac very often; I only use it for very select things, one of which is managing my iPod. I recently relocated from Canada to South Korea, and I just now tried to check if my iOS version was the most recent. For the first time ever I got an error message saying that iTunes (latest version) could not connect to the update server to check if my iOS version was the latest version. I seemed to be able to do anything else I wanted on the internet though. Is there something wrong with the server (at around 2 pm EST on Wednesday Sep 7) or what else might have happened?

Nevermind. I tried again when I woke up this morning and it seems to work now. Don't know what was going on but it seems to be resolved.
