Unable to update to belle fp2

I tried updating my 603 using nokia suite and it completes successfully but when the phone reboots and I check the firmware by dialing *#0000# its says 112.XXXX. And belle feature pack 1. I tried FOTA event that's not happening. After Processing the update the download and installation never begins... plzz help!!!

If the download of update was interrupted due to any reason & on resuming it started from the point where it was interrupted then uninstalling & reinstalling Nokia Suite may help. Do take a back up of all your data on Nokia Suite such as contacts, messages etc.

Email update problem - Belle FP2

Hello,
I have problems with my email application.
I have four mailboxes (two yahoo and two gmail) set on my Nokia 701, Symbian Belle FP2.
Until yesterday everything was OK.
Yesterday it kept asking me for password for for one of yahoo mailbox. I was introducing the password, the new mails were not displayed and I was asked again for the password.
After a while I've noticed that the other mailboxes were having problems (content not updating).
I checked them from my PC and everything is normal with my email accounts.
Next step, I have deleted all four mailboxes from my phone and recreated them once again.
After I create a new account I get the messages from the inbox and the folders I select, but after that I don't get the messages that arrive later.
If I mark a message as read, or if I move it to another folder, on my phone shows me that those actions were performed, but when I log in from my PC the actions were not performed.
It looks like there is no synchronization between my phone and the yahoo and gmail servers.
Does anybody have a possible solution for my problem?

What will be next update after belle fp2

i have updated my 603 to belle fp2. Only one word AWESOME. my phone is faster than before. Camera ui is superb. This is the only decent symbian update since s60v3 FPs . I would love an another update. Please don't leave symbian alone. Or atleast make it open source so we could develop it.

nokia belle fp2 phones are not going to get any another major update
only bug fixes
but hope nokia could release a stable update which could solve gallery issues

Gallery and camera update for Belle FP2.

I just installed the update which is available today via software update using Nokia Suite.
I'm happy that I got back the mark option to send multiple files.
There's an extra preference option provided in camera but it is still taking time for the camera to start after phone is started.

After the recent update of gallery and camera on 808 and 701, which allows finally the multiple selection, I've found on both devices that if you select 2 or more photos in the gallery and then you send them by email, the email app closes suddenly and you can find the message with attached photos in drafts. But just 2 photos. If you select 3 or more, only 2 will be attached. If you choose just one, it works as previously, you open a new message and then you can edit it etc.
Have you the same issue?
Yes, everybody had got this. It's always been there. On the 700 and on the 808, FP1 and FP2. Actually the gallery/camera update has improved it a bit. One can now email 2-3 pics. Before the update even 1 pic rarely worked.
Really serious problem with no organization of the report without album and all photos in one place has been reported ?? course the problem is not solved in any way with the extra apps from the store which is slow without a good support

The issue seems to be caused by the mechanism involved in the Send / Email dialogue which is present in the Gallery app, and in various other apps which also fail the same way.
Whereas if you start up the email app, create a fresh email and then add the pics (as attachments) to it, you can send as many as you like, with the email size limited only by the various SMTP server limits. I have emailed 50MB emails, though most people are limited to about 10MB by their ISP or network.

N8 unable to update to belle

i cannot update my n8 to belle coz when i try to update it and it alway lost the connection with fone

While trying to update to Nokia Belle with Nokia Suite, I get the error message "Service Unavailable". What should I do?
The most likely reason for this is a temporary connection problem in your network environment or a firewall issue. Please check that your firewall allows Nokia Suite to access the internet.
Please check your network. Otherwise, Nokia server may overload due to alot of users upgrading now, try it later.

About symbian belle fp2

I have nokia 603 and really it is better than android. After update it to belle fp2 it totally challenge the android platform except some bug should be repaired. I love the apps that nokia made its own. The most amazing app that i love so much is nokia city lens. After update to belle fp2 i lost it totally. It is a humble request to you make it available for belle fp2 also. Multitasking in my 603 is so so better than android. From these few words " long live symbian "..!!!!!!!!

hmmm have been aware of the new phones you would be talking about being released here for a couple of weeks. was told by a little birdy, that is in the right places to know, you might say, that they were coming. hehe. Be very interesting to see them when they arrive. I'm not to sure if i would leave my e7 at this stage to change to them, but am trying to keep an open mind.
I'm sure anyone who reads some of my post will realise how much i like my e7. More like i love my E7, after all it doesnt answer back, it does what i want it to do when i want it to do it. Always looks good, and is always ready to go where i want to go. what more could you want.hehe

Getting problem s with belle fp2

after updated to belle fp2 , i cant use the opera mini. Opera mini only shows boxes instad of english fonts so i cant read the texts. What to do now?

When will Belle FP2 release for US N8-00

It's been over two months since Belle FP2 release and Nokia USA still has 111.030.0609 as the latest available OS. I have a non-branded N8, so it should get the update rapidly, no? Has anyone in US updated to Belle FP2?

Country variants such as your phone have the Belle Refresh update pushed to them by Nokia, but it is at your country's discretion whether they decide to release the update to consumers or not, with their own country customisations / apps etc.
As this is a user to user forum only, it would be better suggested that you contact Nokia Care in your country directly, and ask them whether Belle Refresh will be available in your country and for your N8's product code.

NEED UPDATE FOR BROWSER - BELLE FP2

An update to the Symbian Browser on Nokia Belle FP2 is badly needed. I think Browser is the only disappointment .

Download Opera Mobile 12 from Nokia Store. It's much faster in most situations. I think there won't be any major updates any more for the built-in browser of Belle FP2.

808 Belle FP2 gallery missing features

Nokia 808 Belle FP2's gallery is still crippled. There is no way to organize photos into folders or tag them in any useful manner. And there no possibility to select multiple items for sharing etc. Gallery cannot zoom images that are downloaded to the phone from other sources no matter how big these images are.
None of these limitations were present in Symbian Anna, so this is a major drawback and downgrade in terms of features even this 808 shoud be Nokias's current flag ship phone on photography domain.

I Updated my Nokia 603 to FP2.
New Camera UI, music Player and details tab in gallery are very appreciated.
Also, several new widgets and performance improvements are satisfactory.
Problems I encountered are,
1) I can't send several photos from gallery by marking them, and don't see the option to sort by ascending or descending dates.
2) Also, Message Editor takes 3-4 sec. to rotate when keyboard is raised.
3) Contacts are scrambled, not sorted Alphabeticaly. They keep changing everytime.
4) Music Player takes 2-3 seconds to play a song when clicked on it.
5) Another minor bug is the time stamp of Message Sending. Sometimes, a message fails to be sent. It's then scheduled to be 'Resend at .......' But if you send it manually, that 'resend' time is attached to the message. not the actual one. It's not a major bug but it makes the Conversational View scattered.

Nokia Belle FP2 - Google and Bing local search res...

Hi, I've got a Nokia 700 with Nokia Belle FP2.
No matter if I use Bing or Google for searching, it does not offer any local search results to me, although the browser supports the HTML5 geolocation API.
Also, the Google Mobile version is the "light" version.
How can I change this?

Hey I have updated my 701 to FP2 just after you guys released FP2 from your servers via OTA(2nd oct) . Over all its a good update but i have noticed that
1) No option to use Front cam while in camera or video mode .
2) No exit button in camera or video mode( have to press End key)
3) Nokia Music and Video editor fails to respond( DEAD)
4)Phone is laggy especially when using music player and web/email applications at a time.
5)BELLE EXTRA BUTTONS are colliding with CALL & SEARCH homescreen buttons( CHECK ATTACHMENT )
6)In Landscape mode ( when using any application e.g: Whats App or Nimbuzz e.t.c.,) not able to see the text typed above.( CHECK ATTACHMENT)
7)No option to select Multiple images in gallery.

We currently do not have any information on upcoming software updates suffice to say Nokia regularly deliver software updates to all phones to give our consumers both performance improvements as well as additional feature. Nokia is committed to continue software support for Symbian through 2016.
In the meantime you can continue to check for updates via Nokia suite or through your device. Please refer to the following link on how to do this:

Cartier001 is right to point out that no FP2 variants have yet been produced for Hong Kong, Taiwan (where I live) or the PRC. One explanation for this is that FP2 makes fundamental changes to keyboards, and these three variants obviously all have Chinese input, which may need extra testing etc. Another possible explanation is that we are not regarded as important enough. Annoyingly Nokia plugs FP2 on the support sections of its web sites in these countries even though it is not available.
Effortful is unfortunately correct to point out that lots of people still do not have FP1. There are lots of posts about that here. This thread (one of many on the subject) is one that I started and has regular new posts of users who still haven't received it.

Adrianhughes is right to say that availability of Nokia's updates depends on country and operator variants, but wrong in suggesting that it would be any use to contact your local Nokia care. Unless there really is some technical problem with your phone, they invariably just tell you to keep checking.
FP1 was not delivered in Taiwan unti more than six months after it was announced. I wrote to Stephen Elop to complain about the poor service in this respect four months after its first announcement and got an email back from him the same day, followed by a call by someone very polite but with no concrete information. I wrote again two months later and got no reply from Mr Elop, but I did have a call from Nokia less than a week later saying that the software had eventually been released for my phone.
Concretely my advice to people in Sri Lanka is to try and find out whether your country has its own Nokia phone variants (Nokia care or your operator might tell you this, or you might find it on the internet somewhere) or whether you use Indian phones. If you have Indian phones then FP2 should be available and you should ask your operator where it is.
My adivce to Effortful is to kick up as much fuss as possible, here on these boards, with your local Nokia care and by writing to the head of Nokia in the US or to Stephen Elop if you have to. It really is disgraceful that FP1 is not available yet and that noone is willing to say why not or when it will be. I would do this, but as I have it now, I am arguing from a weak position.
Unfortunately, those of us in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan will just have to keep on waiting for FP2; we waited more than six months for FP1, so the current delay hasn't really registered yet.

If you read the Reviews for the Application (at the MarketPlace) it seems that the application is not yet compatible with WP8. You may need to contact the Developer or wait for an Update ...
