hii.. I m not able to update my nokia e7 with nokia belle..

Did you try the Nokia Software Recovery Tool already? There, what is your 7-letter code (Nokia Product Code)? That code identifies your firmware variant which determines the latest firmware version. We can check together, only with that code.

    Fire up software update app on your phone. You should get the update prompt, if it is available for your product code. Else check it via Nokia suite. If both these options give no result- visit nearest Nokia care.

    I have a C7 and would like to know if Nokia plans for any further updates or the Belle OS has been discarded completely

    I doubt that the earlier promise of continued support till 2016 wont be followed now after acquisition of Nokia by Microsoft.

  • Can't update to Nokia Belle

    I'm using an N8.
    I tried to update to Nokia Belle using Nokia Suite but the process always gets stuck during backing up the phone. It said that it cannot back up the phone and there was the black-and-yellow exclamation sign by the 'Messages' in the back up list. Can anyone help me please?

    Hi Lailajusoh,
    What I can suggest for you is to manually backup your phone by opening Nokia Suite and following the instructions as posted on the attached screenshots from Screenshot1.jpg to Screenshot4.jpg and after backing up try to update your Nokia N8. Screenshot4.jpg will b posted in my next post right below this as nokia only limits to three attachments per post.

  • Update to Nokia Belle Problem!!

    Guys pls help me with this, Nokia Belle Update is available for my phone C6-01 I tried to install it from Nokia suite but i get an error saying cannection to phone was lost how many times vever i try to install it from there can u guys tell what the problem might be? Pls

    try updating it from a pc that has windows 7. make sure your internet connection is strong and stable

  • Nokia Suit problem when I update to nokia belle

    Hi,All
    Now iam updating my e6-00 to nokia belle using nokia suit
    It take 45 minutes to downloading 305 MB of the update then it takes 1 hour and still till now showing the moving circle which indicates download is still running with two words ::
    "creating account..."
    I don't know what the proper thing that I must do now
    If I press cancel or back does my phone have any prob???
    plz help me

    I quickly wanted to share with you the following statement that I got from our local team about the Nokia Belle availability for Israel:
    The roll-out of Nokia Belle for existing Nokia Symbian^3 phones started globally on February 7, 2012. Testing and approval of Nokia Belle as per the Israeli operators’ requirements is still in process. Subject to successful completion of such tests and approvals, we will announce the launch in Israel and the process for updating via Nokia Discussions Forum as soon as the software is available.

    I'm stuck with Australian version of N8 while living in Estonia, 80 km from Finland. I bought it in November (knowing that reasonable UI Belle is available soon) last year from a local webstore and found out the truth as I received the thing in post. Kind of ripoff by the store not mentioning it before. It means also that the store is giving me warranty instead of Nokia. I contacted them yesterday about the situation and they dont see any problems, I just have to take the phone to them for updating.
    Anyway, I'm following the situation with great interest. Seems to be typical PR situation where Nokia chose to spit their clients in the face and MAYBE to wipe it off later IF clients get angry. Same as with Nokia Maps and Cyprus.

  • Lost apps when updated to nokia belle.

    after I updated my nokia n8 to belle, some of my applications and games are gone but the memory of my phone is the same as if it doesn't lost any apps. Is there any way to retrieve/locate them?

    I got same problem too with my N8. Some apps are also visible as icons but i found that ALL are actually shown as installed in Settings->Installations->Installed (freely translated). But "naturally" there is no way to add an shortcut/icon from that list, or to reinstall it easily.
    And, when i tried to go into Ovi app it demands that i update to version -- and its installer starts but fails towards the end displaying black screen shorlty before disappearing. I've tried many times. And according to log it is Installed but it keeps saying i need new version. Maybe it's because, when i earlier went to a web like in ovi.com, it sillily enough asked me to install some 2.x version of ovi!
    Also, i hope that when i reinstall the apps from Ovi, it won't charge again for the paid ones which at least the Nokia suite lists for me.
    PS. It's possible that the fix i found to nonfunctional WLAN, resetting the phone data+restore from pre-upgrade backup, has caused aditional corruption. And btw, i'm far from sure Belle is better -- it's still slow and weblets have bad design with too much space around them and, so far, no resize opion. And calendat weblet show only one appointment (but at least it isn't repeating like in Anna : "you have meeting on Thursday" + "thu 1.2 meeting..."
    Hope Nokia will test future updates better next time... and advice us how to for instance get shortcuts/icons back.
    Update: Now, trying to get Ovi App work, i accepted to install the 2.x version. It succeded but now the app goes stays in Loading... (forever it seems). Can this be installed via USB?

    No, it's not true. There will always be a slight risk when updating mobile phones so backup all of your important files first. If you do experience any technical faults during the update, you can have it looked at at your nearest Nokia Care Centre.

     have nikia 5800 XpresMusic and I have 2 problem.
    1) firmware of my nokia is version10 and I can't able to update my fireware via PC suite. I attach the snapshot of error occur during the update.(141M online with pc suite).
    2) when I switch of and then switch on the time and date reset and phone requested to set time and date.
    P.S- I thik it have problem on bachup battery.

    First off, you will get few answers here because you posted in the wrong section. This section is for music player problems. This post should go to Software Updates.
    To answer your questions
    1. Most likely PC settings are at fault. For example AVs and Firewall blocking the internet connection from NSU to Nokia Servers. I do not know your AV product, but most are known to do this if the AV program is not set up correctly. For some AV programs, like BitDefender, not even turning the program and firewall would help, as you must integrate into the system of the AV to allow NSU to connect. As for now, all I can suggest is to try and turn off your AV and firewall.
    2. The resetting of the date and time everytime you switch off likely is caused by having a dead auxillary battery on the phone. You need to get this replaced in a Nokia Care Center. Or you could just set time and date to auto-update so that the phone will follow your network's clock and calendar when ever you turn it on.

    Sir, I have downloaded the latest software update in my phone, however at the time of installation, it is displaying message 390 kb memory needed, delete some files. I have deleted all applications, messages and other files. But still it is displaying the same message. more than 5 Mb is free in phone memory. Kindly advise, how to install update,

    You can take the following actions-
    1. Clear the browser cache.
    2. Move the content from the phone memory to the memory card.
    3. Take a complete back up of the phone using Nokia Suite or else you will lose all your data. Also if you've set a password on the memory card & do not remember it then do take a back up of card content also as after reset/firmware update you will not be able to unlock the card without formatting it.
    4. Type *#7370# on the main screen to rest the phone completely.
    5. Try the update again.
