Unable to update to v50.0.005

Hi guys,
I m using Nokia 5233 with v40.1.003. I heard that new 50.0.005 is available, tried to update my phone using *#0000# but it tell me "No updates available".
Can any1 help me? Will it be available for me within few days?

Try Ovi suite and check if the update is available there. You might check with NSU too.
If not you will just have to wait. If your phone is branded it's up to the operator to approve the update. In that case, contact them and ask.

Firmware update V50.0.005

Recently i've updated my Nokia 5800 xpressmusic to v50.0.005, but since then i can't no longer use the big keypad to input messages (only the small one and the alphanumerical one and handwriting). Also i can't no longer make connection with ovi suite. It says device not recognized. I've tried to reinstall the update, but wasn't able to.

5800 unable to update

I'm currently using firmware V 40.0.005 and trying to update to the newest version.
I run the update in the Ovi suite and all goes as it should but when my phone restarts it still runs V. 4 instead of the new one.
I've also tried updating through my phone but get a message saying that the server is not responding.
On another matter, I try to update Ovi maps to V3.4 and it fails every time, I've tried downloading it to my PC and updating it through Ovi suite and my phone comes up with a message saying that the installer is already running.
If anyone would be able to help me with this or point me in the right direction it would be GREATLY appreciated, I've only just got my phone back after it needed repairing due to a fault and now this has gone wrong.

When updating through my phone it says there are no updates available, I'm running V 40.0.005, the ovi suite tells me that the newest version is V50.0.005, I attempt the update and everything goes through ok but when Ovi says the update is complete my phone is still using V 40.0.005
Im also unable to update the Ovi store through my PC or manually through my phone.

I had to have my phone sent off to be repaired and have only got it back in the past few days, is there any chance that it could be related to the repair?

After replacing the hard drive on my G4 Powerbook and reinstalling Tiger I am no longer able to synch between itunes and itunes, it seems that the software on the ipod is of later date than itunes and I am unable to update itunes to the state prior..

The last security update released for Tiger users was the 2009-005 update. The latest version of QuickTime is 7.6.4. The last version of iTunes that can run on Tiger is 9.2.1, because 10.0 only supports Mac OS X Leopard and later.
So, are you on version 9.2.1?
Was it Tiger or Leopard you had on the drive before?

I updated my NOKIA 5800 from v40 to v50 through over-the-air.
I didn't got all the features like quickoffice, cherry 2.1, Ovi music, Lifecasting, Rihanna servicelauncher.....etc
My update package was only of 9.8 MB.Now I too can't reinstall the update through my NSU or OVI updater as the latest version of NSU is not showing any option to reinstall or repair...Please help in solving the problem . I want all the features of v50.0.005 in my NOKIA 5800.THANKS..

If the update is not available for you, then its not. Just wait for it
Reasons why a phone cannot update:
1. It is a country variant - country variants often get the updates later, or have updates skipped altogether. A Turkish country variant product code for example, skipped v40 and updated from v31 straight to v50.
2. It is network branded - phones acquired from network providers or these providers' stores SIM free are branded, and will not get updates until the networks approve and modify the updates to their liking.
3. Special editions - These special editions are chartered editions and may never get updates unless taken to a Nokia Care center.

GPS Problems after update to 50.0.005

Hi,
after having updated to 50.0.005 I have problems using Ovi Maps and other GPS related apps. It takes a very long time for my Nokia 5800 XM to log into the satellites.
Having opened the satellite status, I can see up to 9 satellites but the mobile won't log them. Sometimes it needs up to 30 minutes, sometimes it doesn't work at all.
Before that my mobile needed approx. 30 sec. to get the signal and start working.
Anybody else having the same probs?

<Do you have 3.03 installed on v40? Check your installed apps if the 3.03 Ovi maps is still installed. If it is, remove it. Ovi 3.03 is integrated in the firmware of v50, and if it is still installed on your C drive, then you have a double installation of 3.03 which is probably causing the problem>
i do agree with chanchan statement..at 1st place i did install ovi maps 3.03 in my nokia 5800 v50..yes it caused problem to gps positioning..i've tried to reset my phone n my gps positioning back to work..but unfortunately after sometime my ovi maps doesn't work at all after gained liittle hope of reseting my phone..it fails to detect satellite again..it always ask for connection..as i know, the new version of ovi maps navigation is free of charge..
my positioning method are:
Assisted GPS (ticked)
integrated GPS (ticked)
bluetooth GPS (unticked)
Network based (unticked)
can someone help me with this god damn bug..im so frustrated..

OSX: Adobe Creative Cloud unable to update (stall at 50%)

Hey experts,
ever since signing up for Creative Cloud I have been unable to update any application as my regular user on OSX. After exchanging 23 emails with the Adobe support in 2013 I finally gave up and created a workaround in the hope that the Adobe developers would finally look into the issue and fix the bug. With the last update of Creative Cloud my workaround stopped working so I took time to do a complete reinstallation of Creative Cloud to see if the bug was finally fixed. It was not.
The bug:
-Installation of Creative Cloud and Photoshop, Lightroom etc. through the Creative Cloud app works.
-Any try to update a CC applicaton (e. g. Photoshop CC 2014 results in the state "waiting" at 50%):
-Trying to update through the menu of Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 "Aktualisierungen"
resulted in the following error message:
Translation: "Update failed. Unable to apply updates. Adobe Application manager is already running. Close all instances of Adobe Application Manager before applying updates. etc."
What I tried to resolve the problem:
What did not work:
-Complete reinstallation of Creative Cloud:
     -Uninstall of all Adobe applications
     -Ran the Adobe CC Cleaner tool
     -Eliminated every single *[Aa]dobe*-folder on my disk including my profile.
     -Reboot
     -Re-installation using a fresh CC download.
-The common 1st-level-support acts of desperation:
     -Rebooting
     -Checking the file system
     -Fixing permissions
-The bug even survived 2 OSX system upgrades
-Even tried to track down the bug myself which I gave up after having discovered the endless chain of Creative Cloud and AAM-Processes executing each other...
What worked:
-Installing updates as another OSX user. (Which is cumbersome and to be honest I am unwilling to create a new profile and redoing the settings of all installed (especially non-Adobe) applications because of an Adobe bug...)
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am unable to update apps on my iPhone 5.

I am unable to update my apps on my iPhone 5. As I select the update button it asks for my password but the goes back to like it was. I have already rebooted a couple of times & even logged out & signed back into my iCloud, iTunes & App store. Nothing worked. But, I am still able to download new apps.

1. Make sure iPad is using the latest software
2. Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>On
3. Make sure Time Zone is correct

Has somebody set the database ready for archiving, maybe some maxl has been run and the db has not been returned from read only mode.
Try running the following Maxl (change app.db to match your app/db)
alter database app.db end archive;

The Readonly error got resolved.
But still the following error is displayed when I am loading data thru load rule.
To Brief you up, I had done a database corrupt check using validate command because of the following error. The information map asks you to do the same since the other parameters are in the affirmative ie sufficient disk space, not using addsin, File is present.
*Unable to Read Information From [C:\Hyperion\essbase\app\SMC\PL\PL-BS-LD.rul]*
Unexpected Essbase error 1019003
I used the VALIDATE <error.txt> command and found that the database is not corrupt.
I also used the export command to see if everything goes well. That also works well.
Note: I do not have any data in the Cube. I had cleared all data.
Can you please help ?

We are unable to update the numbering scheme from manual to automatic in define purchasing options (Numbering Tab). Documentation says that you can update it, but it does not give any reason under what circumstances we would not be allowed to update the numbering schemes.

I am doing multi organisation implementation and only one ledger they do not require Inventory and Purchasing modules. Because of that i will not create any inventory organisation for that selected ledger.
This ledger will have seperate responsibility for AP.
Howver, my problem is when i am trying to complete the financial options, inventory organisation is mandatory for that responsability. Without inventory organisation i am unable to save the financial options.
Please assist me how to overcome this issue.

You should be syncing all your contacts and calendars with your computer, either via iCloud or iTunes, so it is easy to re-sync them back to the phone after you restore.
