Is this query regarding Azure Files Share feature?
If yes, I'm Afraid Azure Files is not supported in Oracle Linux 6.4.
However, a request has been raised with the Product group for this feature and they might consider it in the future.

Unable to use 'copy' feature with registered version of quicktime pro.

Hi.
I have a registered version of Quicktime pro (7.1.6), and i am unable to use the copy feature. I captured several videos from work using a windows box and an application whose name escapes me at the moment. Due to the windows app being garbage, i was only able to capture in MPEG1 format (MPEG2 caused the app to crash, of course). I have brought the files home and am now unable to copy selections of it for exporting into smaller files. I can highlight lengths of the video (no audio, just video) but the 'copy' feature is grayed out still. Any ideas on what is causing this? The video format is as follows:
MPEG1 Muxed, 640 x 480
FPS: 29.97
Data rate: 4066.42 kbits/sec
I'm running 10.3.9, but have also had no success on a 10.4 macmini, so the OS doesn't seem to be the issue.
I'm trying to get this video into imovie, but since it's over 600 megs, imovie cops out after a few hours and says it can't import it.
Help?

Not all multiplexed videos come with AC3. They don't have to have audio in the first place. Some of them come with Linear PCM, which is the case for iDVD's VOB files, and MP2. If a multiplexed video is equipped with AC3, you are right, and the resulting modified sub-clip won't contain audio. But if it's Linear PCM or MP2, the edited sub-clip will contain audio.

How to use LDAP authentication in Oracle Linux

Hi All,
In Oracle Linux 2.6.18-194 el5, goes to system->Administration->Authentication, enabled LDAP in both User Information and Authentication, tried to use network user account information to log in the linux machine but it did not work.
The login screen waits over 10 minutes after enter username and password each and then says usename and password is not corrent.
LDAP Settings only asked two information LDAP Search Base on and LDAP Server. We have another application which uses same LDAP server works fine.
How to make Oracle linux server as LDAP client for user longin?

Help : Unable to use Java Beans in Oracle forms 6i

I have been trying to run few sample code to understand how to use Java beans in oracle forms 6i .But have been largely unsuccessfull.
It will be great if somebody can provide me with some simple form( and java code )which uses java beans concept to give some data to the java program and receive some data from it . Pls inform me about the settings that need to be done.
If you guys know it then pls take the pains of writing a simple form and java code.

Actually i am not facing problem understanding the programming technique.
I think the problem at my end is more of a cofiguration one.I am using forms version 6i
on oracle 8.
Every time i set the imlementation class property of the bean area it gives an error 13010 which translates to that "the class being mentioned is not extending the IView class".
The class i have written extends VBean so i am not sure why this error is occuring.
I think if oracle (correctly) finds the java class to use then i will be able to proceed.
Pls reply.
If you have some code that is working fine then pls send it to me.And also inform is some environment variables have to be set for its use.

Using "share" feature with QT Pro

I downloaded QT Pro for the one purpose of posting small video clips created in FCE to my mobileme account. When I select the "share" option, QT Pro goes through the process of exporting and uploading to mobileme. I can see it working. Then, my browser opens and I get the following message: "Looking for something on MobileMe? We can't find the page you requested. Please make sure the URL is spelled and capitalized correctly, and try again."
I am selecting the "home page" option after choosing to "share" my QT movie. Any suggestions?

Export (Movie to QuickTime Movie) and set the dimension, codecs, filters and other options to make a "local" (on your machine) copy of the file.
You can add this file to an existing Gallery via Safari as one of the new mobileme features, or iPhoto.
Don't use iMovie as it will "expand" your highly compressed version to the Project settings and you'll need to export it again to reduce the file size.
The mobileme Gallery pages have some nice features and QuickTime Pro can help you make fast loading small file sized "movies" to use in it.
iPhoto can help organize these QuickTime files and upload them to your Gallery pages. One of my Gallery pages made using iPhoto:

At the end of the image part of the Gallery is a QuickTime .mov file made using these same pictures.
Another method is to write your own page code where you can get much more control over the playback properties of your QuickTime files. The same example of mine in a different style:

Unable to use Cache connect to oracle

I am using TimesTen Cache connect to oracle to connect to Oracle 9i. When I tried to

can anybody tell me what could be the problem.
And to use cache connect is there a separate installation ? or setting ?

What exact version of Oracle client is installed on the TimesTen machine? Are the permissions for the Oracle client directory and files set correctly? Do you have your Oracle environment properly setup (i.e. can you connect to Oracle using SQL*PLUS)? When you installed TimesTen, did the user you used to install it have a valid Oracle environment?
This type of error is almost always due to an unsupported version of the client or an incorrect environment either at runtime or at installation time.

Unable to use all features

I recently had problems with my iMovie so I reset it by dragging the plist file out of it's folder, thus making iMovie create another. However, although it seems to run perfectly fine, I cannot use all of the features that should be available. For example, if i take a still from iPhoto and drag it over a clip the only options that appear are 'replace' and 'insert' whereas before there were features such as 'green screen' and 'cutaway'. Any idea what's wrong and how I can fix it?

Unable to use "Share"

When attempting to send files to freinds with either the Photo Mail or Email Attachments, I find that the program freezes once I attempot to send the files. This feature had previously functioned correctly about a year ago. When I exit Elements and restart, any e-mail addresses I had entered are gone. Running on PC with Windows 7.

Please also let me know how you "shared" in this problem, you mean FILE -> Share -> Email? Or you shared a Word document in your local disk?
If it's the former, I suggest you simply run a repair of Office from Control Panel -> Programs and Features.

Oracle Pricing- Using Discount Feature

I'm Anil Wadhwa and i'm working for Amtrex Hitachi Appliances ltd., Ahmedabad (India). I'm handling the OM Module and I was trying to use the Discount feature availabe in the Oracle Advanced Pricing. As of now we have defined a modifier which we have given the name as a 'Manual discount' and this helps us in changing the unit selling price while doing order entry at the line level. We are not using any qualifiers.
We are trying to explore a feature whereby we would like to give a discount say @10% to the customers who belong to the class 'DLR'. For this I defined a Qualifier by the name of 'Dealer Discount' in the Context I chose Customer and in the attribute I chose 'Customer Class', operator '=' and Value= 'DLR '.
Then I defined a Line Level Modifier where I took a modifier Type as discount and the application method as 'percent' and chose the value as 10. Then I attached the qualifier at both the Line Level and header level.
I defined a new customer at the customer master level and defined the Class as 'DLR'.
Now when I'm doing the order entry the unit selling price which is coming from the price list does not get reduced by 10%, instead the value remains the same.
Can someone in this community who has used this feature of Oracle Advanced Pricing help me out.

Virtualbox ORACLE Linux not installing

Not sure what the issue is. I have Virtual box - upgraded to today's version
I got a copy of Oracle linux (6) at a seminar today. The goal is to install Oracle Linux on the Virtual box to test it.
During the install the keyboard commands (options?) flash by too fast to read.
Installation says the kernel is not right "This kernel requires x8-64 CPU, but only detected an i686CPU."
Well it is a 64 bit CPU.
I tried it on a 32 bit CPU box and got the same result.
alas. is this a bust?

You could also check your VBox.log file, which contains, among a lot of other things, detailed information about the host CPU type and supported features.
I suggest to check if there is a BIOS update available for your computer, or try to use a 32-bit Oracle Linux distribution, which you can download for free from https://edelivery.oracle.com/linux

I'm sorry that you're having trouble with Adobe Send. I can confirm that you have an active Paid subscription.
Can you tell us what's happening when you attempt to use it?
Are you trying to use it from with Adobe Reader, or from a web browser (at https://cloud.acrobat.com/send)? Or from the Outlook Plugin?

OS Command in ORACLE LINUX platform

I am facing the same issue while using OS Command in ORACLE LINUX platform.
I am using the command as ls -1 /home/oracle/data > /home/oracle/data/All_FILES_NAMES.txt
Its working in terminal, But not in ODI procedure.
Its throwing error as 'wrong process return code-2'.

CKMs moves the error records to E$ table. In your case I believe you can achieve it through procedure by having first step to copy the error record in MISSED_REC table and then have a second step to read from this tabel and send our email through oditool.

Oracle Linux 6 - stuck on Welcome Setup Screen, black screen on CTRL+ALT+F*

Oracle Linux 6 DVD x64.
Installed fine. I selected gnome for UI + all dev packages as I will be doing some dev work on the box.
After install it boots okay and the Welcome setup screen shows up. It allows me to setup connection to ULN, create a user, enable kdump etc. These functions work fine, but right after I finish setting it all up (i.e. the last setting I see is the kdump enable/disable screen), the box goes into limbo state after pressing [Finish] button.
The screen turns black and that's it.
Also when I tried to switch from the Welcome setup screen to a terminal mode, i.e. by pressing CTRL+ALT+F1 (tried ...+F2 also) the box gets stuck too. There is no way to go back to the X session, i.e. CTRL+ALT+F6 (F7, F8). It is just stuck on the black screen.
Here's some specs:
Motherboard: ASUS P8H67-M Pro (with B3 revision of Sandy Bridge)
CPU: Intel I5-2500 (VPRO) (BX80623I52500)
Memory: Kingston HyperX 8GB (compatible with m/b + run memtest86 for hours without error)
Video: using built in Intel HD (could this be the issue?)
After re-boot I'm back to Welcome setup screen.
Notes:
1. Boots fine if 'singleuser' is appended to the kernel boot line in GRUB, but that's not the point. I would like to run UI.
2. I have tried removing 'rhgb' and 'quiet' kernel boot parameters to no avail. I have actually stripped the kernel boot line in GRUB down to 'ro' and that would not help either.
3. Ubuntu 10.10 x64 runs fine.
4. Windows 7 x64 runs fine.

You may have a hardware or system bios issue in combination with the existing drivers. Have you checked the vendors home page for your system? What clues exit in the log files in /var/log?
It sounds like you are using a Latop. Oracle Linux, like RHEL is not designed for desktop and mobile computers. Installation success will depend on your hardware compatibility, but you will very likely be missing appropriate drivers for wireless, video and power management.
If Enterprise Linux is a requirement and you are not using it as the primary OS, or if the computer hardware lacks support, how about installing Oracle Virtualbox and install Linux as a guest OS - I'm pretty sure this should work.
