Unable to use some tools...

hello I am currently using a galaxy s3.I'm having problems using the tools in the user interface.when I try to collect some of the tools it go off screen. because of this some of the tools are not visible and I am NOT able to select some of them. otherwise I really like this out what is there a way to fix it?

Hi,
I would try to exit the document/project with the back button so that you don't lose any work.
Then you can retry to enter and see if it works. If that doesn't work please try to restart the application.

Thank you again for your 10.24 post. I tried your suggestions today. The university computer lab i use has Adobe Acrobat Pro 6. The OCR function is under the dropdown menu "Documents>>Paper Capture". This permits conversion a scanned page to searchable text. Before beginning it asks you to select 1 of 2 Settings defined as: "Primary OCR Language English", or "PDF Output Style: Searchable Image (Exact)". That is the only choice to be made before conversion begins. After the conversion you can review and correct suspect words on captured pages. I tried both choices and regardless of which ended up with a document that was searchable, but still would not permit highlighting (I selected text with the highlight tool, clicked and dragged over a captured page, and nothing happened, same result as my earlier post). If I search for a particular word, all occurrences become shade-highlighted but if I expressly attempt to highlight a word with the highlighter it won't do it.
Do you have any suggestions as to how I might further massage the data?

Cant use some tools in tools panel

Some tools in the tools panel are inop namely, spot healing brush, clone stamp and brushes when image is opened
using Mini Bridge. Regular Bridge is OK no problem. CS5/Win7 64.

Tools become unavailable depending on the context of what layer you have selected, whether the image mode is compatible, etc. etc.
Are you absolutely sure you're seeing the exact same conditions in cases where the tools are unavailable as when they are available? I suspect something's different.
Please do screen grabs of the same image showing each case and posting them here. Perhaps one of us will spot something.

Can't use some tools in Ps cs6 trial

I downloaded the Photoshop cs6 trial yesterday, and it worked fine. Today, however, I can't choose colors or draw shapes. I keep getting the message "Could not use [insert tool name] because of program error." What can I do to fix this? Am I allowed to uninstall, re-download, and re-install the trial version if I have already done so (today is only day 2 since I downloaded it)?

Welcome to the forum.
With the trail, I would NOT uninstall it.
As for the issues with some Tools, can you please tell us first, exactly what you are working with? A screen-cap of your GUI, with the Open Image (or New Image) showing, plus the Layers Panel open, would be very useful. Also, including the Options Panel for one of the problem Tools, might give clues.
Next, let us know exactly what you wish to do, and how you are going about it. The more detail, the better.
It is probably something simple, and something that is easily handled. If not, then you might also gather the details of your computer, as that info might be useful in the next step.

Unable to use gradient tool on placed photo Photoshop CS Trial

I placed a jpg photo over another photo and attempted to use gradient tool tool but it indicated cannot smart object cannot be edited directly. It gives me a circle with a line through it with this statement. I am operating a trial version of CS5 on Windows XP. What am I missing. Use to use CS3 and Photoshop 5.0. Must be another step. Cannot answer.

You could double click on the smart object icon to edit the smart object contents
or rasterize the the smart object.
You could also use a gradient overlay layer style or gradint fill adjustment layer.

Why am I unable to use some fonts in Pages '09 since upgrading to Pages 5?

I upgraded to the new Pages and regretted it immediately because it doesn't have a lot of features I am used to and which I need. (The marketing blurb only mentioned what it could do, and omitted to mention how many functions had been removed, otherwise I wouldn't have upgraded.) As a result I decided I wouldn't use Pages 5 until it (hopefully) catches up with the functionality of the older version.
However, the upgrade appears to have done something to corrupt some of my fonts in Pages '09. This means that files I created in Pages '09 cannot now be printed because I get 'gobbledegook' instead of the font I chose (Academy Engraved for one).
I can set a new document in Pages 5 in Academy Engraved but if I then export it into Pages '09 it reverts to gobbledegook. I cannot simply replicate my old Pages '09 files in Pages 5 because the functionality I need isn't there. So I have a lot of files in Pages '09 that I can't print, and I am very frustrated.
I have validated the Academy Engraved font in Font Book and it was fine. Can anyone suggest anything else I can try please?

Thank you for that, but I'm afraid I muddied the waters by mentioning that alert. I am aware of Gatekeeper, but the point was it was a Pages document not an app so I shouldn't have got that message at all. If anything, I should have got the "You need a newer version of Pages" message. However, I'll live with that one for the time being.
It's the font problem that I'm really concerned with. If I open a new document in Pages '09 I can no longer use Academy Engraved font, it just looks like gobbledegook. Neither can I read Academy Engraved font in any of my old Pages '09 documents. However, Academy Engraved font works fine in Pages 5. So by upgrading needlessly to Pages 5 I can no longer use Academy Engraved in Pages '09. That's my main problem.

Unable to use 3D tools CS6

hi, I'm also having an issue not being able to use the 3D tools in CS6. Here's what my system info says; I went and downloaded the latest driver for my NVIDIA GEForce GTX260 but the 3D options are still greyed out. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

You have 2 displays/ virtual desktops with different sizes and it's exhausting your hardware resources.

Unable to use navigation tools in Google street view

All of a sudden I have found that when using google maps, I cannot use the navigation tools in street view, other than double clicking which zooms into the picture. Also when in map mode and zooming in, it does not zoom smoothly - rather a shudder and simultaneous zoom. I have tested this out in Google Chrome and Firefox and maps work just fine.
I have repaired permissions, reset Safari, reinstalled Safari, reinstalled Flash, and even deleted the arial fonts (which I read fixes a similar problem), but nothing works.
The only thing that I can think of is that I downloaded another version of Safari so I could test out the tabs at the top of the window. However since the I have deleted that version and reinstalled Safari (v 4.0.4)
Any suggestions as to what I could try next, without having to reinstall 10.6??

That toolbar/ct plugin seems to cause problems for all who install it!
Locate and delete the following files and it should be gone:
/Library/Application Support/Conduit

/Library/Receipts/<Toolbar name>.pkg
/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/CT2285220.bundle

where / is your the root library on your Hard Disk.

Unable to Use Adjust Tool or Effects Tool

I'm using iPhoto 7.1.5. On my MacBook Pro, when I go into edit mode and click on either the Adjust tool or the Effects tool, nothing happens. No windows open to allow me to edit with these tools. The other tools (red eye, enhance, retouch, crop) work just fine.
I've tried trashing the plist file for iPhoto and also tried logging in as a different user, but the problem persists. Any help would be most appreciated!

Before you re-install:
Start with the troubleshooting basics:
1. Repair Permissions using Disk Utility
2. Create a new account (systempreferences -> accounts) and see if the problem is repeated there. If it is, then a re-install of the app might be indicated. If it's not, then it's likely the app is okay and the problem is something in the main account.
As a rule, no, re-installing the app will not affect the Library.
To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applcations Folder to the trash)
2. Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only...’

Unable to Use Proofing Tools in Portuguese after Installation

Good Afternoon!
I am wondering if someone might be able to point me in the right direction with this.
Our computers all run Windows 7 x64 Enterprise, with Office 2010 Professional Plus. I have one user, who has enabled her Portuguese keyboard and also needs to install the proofing tools in Portuguese. Following the link within Outlook (Not Installed
link) brings you to a "dead" page. I found the proofing tools online, in both x86 and x64 (we run 32bit Office) and tried installing them one at a time. The installation will complete successfully, but they tools still show as Not Installed.
I contacted AnswerDesk and they gave me a new file to try and the same thing happened. For troubleshooting's sake, I tried this on my own machine as well (same software, different hardware) and had the same result. Tomorrow I am going to uninstall
and reinstall Office and try again.
Would anybody have a suggestion on what else to try? I'm kind of at a loss, and I'm guessing it is some silly little thing that I am missing (like a random checkbox!)

Our computers all run Windows 7 x64 Enterprise, with Office 2010 Professional Plus. I have one user, who has enabled her Portuguese keyboard and also needs to install the proofing tools in Portuguese. Following the link within Outlook (Not Installed
link) brings you to a "dead" page. I found the proofing tools online, in both x86 and x64 (we run 32bit Office) and tried installing them one at a time. The installation will complete successfully, but they tools still show as Not Installed.
I contacted AnswerDesk and they gave me a new file to try and the same thing happened. For troubleshooting's sake, I tried this on my own machine as well (same software, different hardware) and had the same result. Tomorrow I am going to uninstall
and reinstall Office and try again.
Would anybody have a suggestion on what else to try? I'm kind of at a loss, and I'm guessing it is some silly little thing that I am missing (like a random checkbox!)

Unable to use remote tools on two computers

Hello All
I cant seem to use the Remote Tools feature on two of our pcs. They are giving the exact same error below. All of the prereqs are in place. Any thoughts on this? Or logs I could look at?

No, a manual client installation and manual running of the Machine Policy Retrieval & Evaluation Cycle, will not make any difference here. The client does not know how it was installed, or the actions were run. So as long as the client got installed
correctly, and can download policies, it should be fine.
Personally, since it is two clients only, I'd reimage the two systems. I've seen numerous threads and cases where a feature doesn't work, but are resolved with a reimage of the computer. Harsh, but usually works. You could certainly try uninstalling the
Configuration Manager client, then reinstalling it again first.

Ipod touch. Unable to use conversion tool on itunes 10.0

I bought the newest ipod touch you can get at the apple store a few days ago (the one with the facetime), and today I synced it. I was able to add music to my ipod touch, but my problem is two things: Converting video to the ipod touch and the part "create ipod or iphone version" is unclickable in the advanced menu if itunes. I don't know why I am unable to select "create ipod or iphone version" in the advanced menu and I do not understand why itunes is now allowing me to convert video formats so that I can watch videos on my new ipod touch.
I also have the latest version of itunes (10.0) and updated my ipod.
I buy all my music and the videos I have are either ones I bought or from a christian church who allow people to use them as podcasts for free. The format I want to convert is wma.
So please PLEASE help me with this. I would appreciate it. Thank you

Go to your iTunes Library > Movies window and click (to select it) one of the videos you want to convert.
Then check the iTunes > Advanced menu again to see if "create ipod or iphone version" is "clickable" now.

Adobe Pro CC weird graphical issues, and crash on using some tools like brush and pencil.

Just like the title says it keeps crashing.

Yes that is normal. I have no problem with CS6, No lag or hesitation.
A tip for you if your creating the mask using a copy of a color channel. Set the brush blending mode to "Overlay" This will protect the mask Black and White areas. Unable to use all the feature of my email service (Juno on the web) like; font size/color, bolding, italics, highlighting etc why? Those features work through Internet Explorer but not Firefox.

When I go to my Juno on the web through Firefox, I am unable to use the tool features such as:
Font size / Color
Bolding
Italics
Bullets
Highlighting
just to name a few. Yet when I bring it up through Internet Explorer these features work, plus the way Firefox reads my Juno the tabs are distorted (the page is not formatted correctly, I contacted Juno they said I should contact my modem company AT& T they said no so you are my last resort.. Please help resolve my issue, THANK YOU in advance for assisting with this matter.

It is up to Juno to enable Midas, the Rich Text Editor which is built into Firefox, with one little line of code on every web page that has RTE for IE. There's nothing that you can do to turn that feature on your self, it has to be coded on each web page that has Rich Text Editing.

Their ignorance probably lies with their staff programmers only knowing how to do it for IE ''(their training and certificates are probably from the Microsoft cabal)'', and not realizing that Gecko and WebKit apps each have their own Rich Text Editor's, which require their own small line of code to enable those Editor's.
