Unable to use the same ID for ipad and iphone

When I enter Apple ID and password to install application on Iphone, It is notified that " your password was entered incorrectly", eventhough those ID and password work normally on Ipad. What is the possible problem ?

@Randers4: The thing is, they are the same account. I registered as "elonka" way back when, and then the login changed to the email address, "[email protected]" at some point. The password is the same. But when my phone gets into this odd state, even though I am entering the correct password, it acts as though I have entered an incorrect password.
One other thing that seems to affect it, is whichever app I have most recently made an IAP (In-App Purchase) on. So if I made a purchase as "elonka", then that seems to be the default that shows up when I try to update any other app, and I can't log out from it. Or if I made an in-app purchase as "[email protected]", then that one becomes the default.
It sounds to me like a bug, and that what is needed is for the Store logout to clear both the account name of "what app was recently downloaded" *and* the account name for "what in-app purchase has most recently been made".

So you had music on the iPad that is not in iTunes and you no longer have the iPad. Is that what you are saying? If that is what you are saying, iTunes won't "recognize" anything that was on the iPad, that was not purchased from iTunes. If the music was purchased from iTunes, you should probably be able to download it again for free as long as you are using the same Apple ID that you bought it with. Did you try downloading the music again?

I admit that I'm a little confused by your remark about being logged into your iPad account. You should be logged into your iTunes account.

at the moment i have had a disc in for at least 20 mins and it's still 'finishing' sems a bit long for 17 songs . also the fan is on almost all of the time , maybe that has a bearing .. ? make sure to close all browers.

If you are using the same Apple ID on both devices, the Game Center profile should be the same.
Check out this information from the iPad User Guide. Try signing out of the Game Center on both devices and then sign back in with the correct Apple ID:

The computer will not erase the information. Each device will show up in iTunes as a separate device and you can control the information for each device through iTunes.

Yes but the iPhone chargers will struggle to charge the iPads ,they need more power than the iPhone chargers produce and with an iPad will charge VERY slowly

Hold down the Sleep (On-Off) and Home buttons together for about 10-15 seconds or until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears - then let go of the buttons. The device should begin to start up.

All I can suggest is that you open that file on the MBA and save it as a new file, then see if you can open the new one on the iMac.
