Not able to use unarchiver anymore in mavericks, also no other programs lie izip o stuffit. Has anyone same problem and /or solution? Thanks

Unable to use Elements 12 in Mavericks

I've just spent a useless couple hours on a chat with an Adobe chat person, after 50 minutes waiting on the phone for a support person who never came on. I recently purchased Elements 12 to replace Elements 9. I just updated to Mavericks and when I try to install Elements 12 it won't accept the Adobe password I reset on 10/10/13 (nor the previous one), even though it accepts it when I sign into the Adobe site.
I get Error 16 and I followed the instructions for that, in 2 parts. The first Get Info was exactly as required and the second one again asks for my password and refuses it. It says "Setup wants to make changes. Type your password to allow this."
It says to UNinstall it first, but first it doesn't seem to be installed at all yet, and second the file that says Elements 12 uninstall is an Alias that points nowhere. I need to use Elements daily to process graphics for my web site, and don't know if I can go back to Elements 9 now.
I found an Adobe Elements 12_core file on my drive in a folder with 2 Install files. Should I try one of them? (I have an iMac 21.5")

That is your OS X account password, nothing to do with your adobe ID. If you don't have a password on your account just click the OK button or whatever it is in that screen.

How can I achieve to another PC's firefox current loading page, if that PC is already unable to use/activiate anymore?

My PC do not operate/works anymore. I am intending to donate it to others, but reserving the hard-disk(in which all data still in).And I am retrieving the data to the hard-disk via an USB cable. How can I get the current loading pages, as well as other bookmarks, plug-ins in this PC hard-disk? I can only load the data by MY COMPUTER. Where can I locate the above-mentioned material in the specific folder?

Deleting files is not enough as you only need to use an undelete utility (e.g. Recuva) to recover all data.

New Ipod and unable to use Itunes anymore

So I've been using Itunes 5 for awhile now and I love it, when I purchased my new 60GB Video Ipod I HAD to upgrade to Itunes 6, while attempting to install I get an error code =-3. So I get on these forums and try out some stuff like downloading the standalone quicktime 7.0.3, which gave me another error 1606 and 1603. And I've attempted to follow the instructions to fix this problem, but I havnt had any luck yet... So if anyone could help it would be GREATLY appreciated, because I would love to use my new Ipod.

So I get on these forums and try out some stuff like downloading the standalone quicktime 7.0.3, which gave me another error 1606 and 1603.
it sounds like you've seen the InstallShield advice on the 1606, which is always a good place to start.
however, i've been seeing a new variant of the QT 1606 showing up lately, which responds to a different treatment.
Download and use the Windows Installer Cleanup utility to clear the existing QT 7.0.3 installation registry entries:

No, there is no direct download link. Those are days of the past, I'm afraid. You may need to reinstall Mavericks.

Unable to use place command in photoshop

I am unable to use the place command in photoshop cs5.5 since upgrading to mavericks. The window pops open briefly then shuts immediately. Photoshop hangs as it is still awaiting the action to complets. The same behavior exists when attempting to add attachments to emails. Any idea what may be causing this? This only began to occur after the upgrade to mavericks.

Try a restart.
Do a backup, using either Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure files/data can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.
Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
Isolating an issue by using another user account
If the problem is still there, try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account. Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

ICal / CalDAV: Unable to invite others - OS X Mavericks / Server

we recently upgraded our OSX Server from Mountain Lion to Mavericks including the Server App. We ran into migration problems with our iCal Database.
Once the DB got fixed, thanks to community help, everything seemed to work. Now after two months one person reportet that she is unable to invite a specific subset of people from the company. I checked her account and can confirm the issue.
In the availability pane, the people to be invited are greyed out and not available all the time. Interestingly, when I do a calculation of the next availability, the Server concludes April 1st as the first possible date. I really hope that's not a aprils fools joke... ;-)
Any idea how to solve the issue?

Myself i tried this way for theming my Mac's desktop and it works for me like a charm on OS X 10.9.

I locked myself out of my ipod touch for 60 mins then actually typed the wrong password in again. Now it is telling me to "connect to itunes". I am unsure how to do this. I am unable to use my ipod at all now. Please help.

Due to my brother locking me out of my ipod touch I had to wait an hour to log in again. Unfortunately when I did this, I, again put in the wrong password twice more, each time locking me out for a further 60 minutes. On my 3rd attempt to log in the wrong password was entered again. This time though instead of logging me out for another 60mins it now tells me to "connect to itunes" but I have no idea how to do this and I am now unable to use my ipod. Please help.

Unable to use ASDM on 5510 and 5520 ASA

I have been working with ASA's for about 8 months now. I have a 5520 that is brand new out of the box and a 5510 that I blew up last week (read as format disk, start from scratch).
I have generated RSA keys, loaded license keys, loaded IOS's and configs in the last few days. Luckily these boxes are table top at the moment and nothingto do with production. However, I have tried to load production configurations on to these boxes, and have determined that not all the lines of the configs will load.
To be specific at the moment, I am unable to load "asdm location 192.168.50.0 255.255.255.0 inside" on either box. I am also unable to use my broswer and HTTPS://192.168.50.1 to access the ASA, even though I have HTTP serve enabled and HTTP 192.168.50.0 listed in the config.
Because I blew up one of the boxes and started from scratch and the other box is brand new, is/are there any other special things that need to be done to these boxes? Like I could put in some of the "crypto" config lines in the boxes until I did the license keys, once they were lin, I could configure the crypto lines.
I am open to any suggestions as this point as I can't current get the VPN's to come up (different issue here) nor see what's going on with the VPN's without ASDM.

if it persists, get the SSL captures at the ASA as .pcap

Unable to use iCloud on my iPhone 4S

I'm unable to use iCloud on my iPhone 4S. I click on Settings, Scroll to iCloud, Click on iCloud, and then it prompts me to enter my Apple ID and Password. After I do I click on Sign in and it says User name or password is incorrect and I know they're not. I try signing in with the same Apple ID and Password and I have no problem signing in. I don't know what's going on. Can someone please help??

You need an Internet connection to use Facetime. As not all carriers support Facetime you may need a WiFi connection.
