Unable to validate btinternet email account on bla...

Hello
My btinternet email was working ok on my blackberry curve until 1 week ago when I got a mail from blackberry saying that the account needed to be validated but when I try it says "unable to set up.., please try again".
I've tried re-sending the service books and host routing table but still no joy.
Would appeciate any ideas.

Is this btinternet.com email address working OK via webmail? Have you any other email clients configured for the account such as Outlook or Thunderbird on your PC?

    Only got my Blackberry 1 day ago and already I could throw it through the window.  I've tired and I've tired and still I get this message when I'm trying to download apps unable to validate the email addres and password combination.  I've asked for a new password over and over, even through I know the password I was putting in was correct.  I've deleted my account and re-opened up another and it still does it.  It keeps asking me to 'I agree' with terms and I keep agreeing and it still ask.  I've sent a email to the help desk, and I've not heard anything apart from an auto-response.
    I so want to be able to download the Apps, I want to be able to say 'hey, look what app, I've got' and it won't let me. 
    I SO NEED SOMEONES HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

    be very careful with capital letters and numbers on the BlackBerry.  I had trouble with that when I first got mine..

    My email has been working fine on my Curve. Blackberry stopped the emails a few days ago and asked me to validate (re validate I guess) my account. I've followed instructions without luck. Then re-set my password. But no luck - BB still says its invalid. So no emails and a good hour of my life on searching for BB support...

  • I am unable to delete an email account/profile in the settings for Mail/Contacts/etc.

    I have 3 email accounts and on 2 of them there is the "Delete Account" red button at the bottom, but for one of them it is not an option. This particular account that I am trying to remove was installed using the iOS setup tool from GoDaddy.com, which is the host for my work email. These were the instructions I was asked to follow to setup the IMAP account on my iPad:
    1. Go to the GoDaddy website (full site) in Safari
    2. Type "Apple" in search bar top right.
    3. Select "Automatically Setting up Email on Your Apple Mobile Device"
    4. Select "Email InfoCenter"
    5. Type in my email and password.
    6. In email info center, select "Auto Setup fo iOS"
    7. In the popup, there is a link in bold letters, select that and copy it, then paste it into your Safari address field at the top and go to that site.
    8. Follow instructions and type in your password to validate.
    This installs your IMAP account on your iPhone or iPad automatically. So when you go to Mail, it is there as an option.
    The problem is that I can't figure out how to delete it!

    I found this link for a similar problem someone had with a Lotus Notes account. I used it to resolve my issue with a different email account (basically followed the same steps, and then looked for the particular account I needed to delete)... hope it helps!

  • Unable to delete my Email Account.

    Hi All-
    My office just transferred servers, and I have been trying to delete, or change my email account to update to my PRE.  Everytime I try to delete the account and add it as new (from POP to Exchange) I get the dreaded hanging circle for hours. 
    Moreover, when I tried to outsmart the system and alter my settings, it will not allow me to do so, and so I am stuck! Unable to transfer, as I get a "duplicate  account" message, and cannot complete my mission.
    I have reset, and shutdown countless times already. 
    Can anyone help me please?!?!!

    I don't know how this happened but I was unable to see my email icons (3) on my home page today. I tried to redo my email set uo but I kept getting the setup option for Blackberry Enterprise Server which I didn't have in the first place.
    I just wanted to restore my personal accounts.after lots of searching up and down, I finally logged on to my provider's BIS site and managed to set up ONE account. on clicking the next option for adding an extra account, i got the @blackberry.com option which I don't want/need. Tried to set up a third one but was told I have set up the maximum number..
    I rebooted my phone and my email icons did appear, thankfully.
    My question is, how do I set up an additional email account now that I got my icons back? The email setup option is still asking about Black Enterprise Server.
    Please help............

  • TS3899 Unable to re-add email account after updating to IOS 6

    Hi,
    I have tried to search to see where this has been covered previously and have followed many of the helpful suggestions.
    I have updated to IOS 6. On IPhone 4.
    I was unable to send email. I have followed all tips such as switching phone off.
    I have deleted email account as it kept saying "null accout is already configured..".
    Now I can't add my email account again.
    I have been on email providers website and can get web mail fine.
    Any suggestions would be most welcome.

    precisely the same issue on 2 computers on 10.9 and 10.10
    - the accounts are google apps for business accounts
    - imap is on
    - 2 step verification is off
    - upgrading the 10.9 machines resulted in the same issue/error
    - running onyx and cleaning out everything did nothing
    - trashing mail prefs nothing
    - creating new user account on the macs...same issue
    - i can setup the accounts on my own 10.10 machine (ios also works for those 2 accounts)
    completely dead in the water....my next step to try is to clean install the 2 effected machine....

    I found that as Btinternet accounts are actually part of Yahoo you can just set up a push account for that email account by going into "settings" then "mail" then "add account" then "Yahoo Mail" then you enter all your btinternet email information as requested - where it asks for Address you would enter "[email protected]" password etc and "Bobs your uncle" it will all push through

    Usually the email address should be available on the day of your installation date.
    To prove that the email address hasn't been activated yet, go to http://mail.yahoo.com, enter your full BTinternet email address as the Yahoo! ID, and after entering the password if you get "This ID is not yet taken", then the email address is not activated. Any other message indicates a problem with the account (e.g. incorrect password)

  • I am unable to add an email account to my iphone

    My iPhone "lost" the password to my email account. I tried reentering the password but no luck. Deleted account and reinstalled. Still said password was incorrect. I can log on to the account via the web so I know the log in is good and the account is working. I installed a daughter account on the phone and that went fine. Tried installing the troubled account on my iPad and got the same password incorrect. In addition I've done the following:
    Called ISP tech support
    Called Applecare
    Gone to Genius Bar
    Reset phone
    Reset network settings
    Restored phone from backup.
    Checked for profiles
    Made sure I was logged out of the account when installing
    Checked settings in iCloud. email doesn't sync to cloud or computer.
    Everybody said they'd never seen this problem and didn't have any ideas beyond what I've listed. Next thing to try is to see if I can get the account installed on an
    Android device. That would prove that the problem is Apple's. I'm grasping for straws. Any ideas?

    e-m Providers change this info and don't inform you.
    Delete the account
    Close back ground apps
    Power cyc
    Add the account as other, with the know good info.
    If that fails restore the device and setup as new.

  • How can I add working btinternet email accounts?

    I have looked at threads that seem to be associated with the above however they all seem pretty historic and I wondered if Apple had come up with a solution or if there was a workaround that one of you guru's out there might know.
    First off, I am not particularly computer articulate so if you ask me additional questions that require tech info, please be gentle with me!
    I have a MacbookAir 13" which I am only just (after two years) beginning to properly utilise. Having set up an iCloud email, and added my Gmail account without any problems, I added my primary account which is a btinternet address and all seemed well.
    Very quickly though the bt address stopped working properly and kept asking for my password. I have taken it offline, put it online, deleted it and added it again all with the same results.
    Is there any way to have all my addresses in one place other than opening up iCloud, gmail and bt via Safari? I am on Mavericks (if that makes any difference).
    All help, gratefully appreciated.

    Change the name of the computer in the Sharing pane of System Preferences to one that has no spaces, apostrophes, parentheses, or special characters.
    If you have a BT Home Hub wireless router or something similar, you may also need to change the computer name in the router's settings as described by vincentfromcork on page 2 of this thread.

  • Unable to validate C&B-account in iTunes

    I've recently received my new Iphone 4, and I've been trying to buy some apps from the itunes store. Since I've had an Iphone before (3g), I already have a click and buy account, which used to work perfectly for buying apps. But since I hooked up my iphone 4 to Itunes my C&B account was gone in my Apple ID screen. I've been trying to get it validated over and over... It does seem to work until I have to press 'Done' at the screen with all my Apple ID information. I check the box that says Click and buy accountnumber XXXXXXXX (which is correct), but when I press Done, I get quite an unusual error. Itunes says: Credit card declined etc. Which is funny because I'm not trying to pay with a CC but with click and buy! Whatever I try to do, it keeps giving me the same error.
    I really hope someone could help me with this.

    I'm having this same issue - unable to play any music that I have downloaded from ITMS. I'm asked to authorize my computer, which I do.. I'm told that my computer has been successfully authorized. But when I try to play any song, I'm asked again to authorize my computer - and the cycle starts all over again.
    I have yet to see a post with any sort of attempt at resolving this issue, but I know a lot of people are having it. I emailed tech support, and (surprise, surprise) never heard back.

  • My Btinternet email account appears scambled

    Emails to my BT Internet account look something like the below. I've taken out personal info...
    I've tried changing from Thunderbird to Windows Mail and they are still the same. 
    They do appear OK on an Ipad, just not on the computer.
    Any ideas out there?

    I appear to have exactly same problem with my bt account - The strange thing is only some email is scambled whereas others display and read fine. 
    When I receive these blank emails I can read some but not others when I look at the source code.  Plain text email is readable when I look at source but emails with attachments are unintelligible.   
    The common features are 'from' field and 'subject' field in my outlook appear blank and the email contains a comment about 'extra line breaks.  I also see

    This problem has only started in the past week or so
