Unable to validate email account

I am unable to validate my email account despite using the instructions sent to me by BlackBerry. I get this error message:
"An error occurred during email validation - please check your information and try again."

Try doing it online.  From your PC browser, go to www.telstra.blackberry.com .  Once there, create a username and password combo then try validating your email account from there.  If you have difficulties, try www.blackberry.com/integrate from your phone's browser.

    It's a phishing attempt to get your account id and password, the 'validate' link on that page isn't an Apple website (there are similar phishing attempts regularly posted on here) - you could forward the email to Apple : [email protected]

  • Unable to validate email

    Help please.  I have a Curve 8520 and have been trying to download new apps.  When I enter my password I get the message 'unable to validate email address and password'.  If I select 'forgot password'   I get the message 'Blackberry is having trouble connecting to ... server.  Verify your network connections and try again - error 30637'. Have checked my email settings and these seem ok and I am receiving email on the Blackberry on the same email account.  I am probably missing something really obvious here but can someone put me out of my misery?

  • I've uploaded Acrobat XI Pro and it freezes when I'm using it.  I uninstalled and re-installed.  When I login, it says that it is unable to validate the account and has an option to use the trial.  How do I fix this?

  • Unable to add email account in mail settings

    Hello,
    On my ipad model MB293LL I am unable to access the 'Mail, Contacts, Calenders' menu in my settings. i am trying to add an Email account in the settings, but the tab 'Mail, Contacts, Calenders' will not open, but returns to the desktop. Does anyone know a workaround please to add a new account?

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
    Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

  • Unable to add email accounts to Z10

    Got new Z10 to day, upgraded from Torch, and have spent 4.5 hours on the phone with mobile provider techie (O2) and web host IT person going around in circles. I am now at my wits' end! I have just googled 'Unable to set up email accounts on BB Z10' and see that numerous people are having this issue.
    Can we get help from BB techies on here??
    I am trying to set up two (private ) email accounts on the Z10 and what seems to be happening is that the phone cannot communicate with my web host provider's server. I managed to set up a TalkTalk account no problem (different ports) but it won't work with the private email accounts.
    Judging from the various posts I've read, this seems to be a BB issue. I desperately need to resolve this as I am running my own business.

    I just had the same issue, and called my carrier (Telus) and was able to get support to fix it.  It turns out that the Z10, being in a 4GL network, when setting up a new POP account, it requires the use of the SMTP server of the carrier, as opposed to the SMTP server of the e-mail service.  As soon as I changed the SMTP server to SMTP.telus.net it started working.
    With my old Blackberry Bold, being on a 3GL network, this was not an issue, and I used to be able to use the SMTP server of my e-mail service.

  • Recurring requirement to Validate email account

    I have had my Blackberry Curve for a month or so.  When syncing with email at work, I use our pop server.  Over the past week I have begun to receive auto emails from Blackberry to update the password for my account.  When I go to the email account tool. it shows my work email as an invalid account, with the 'validate' option showing. Once I click Validate, everything goes back to  normal.
    Any ideas?  This happens several times a day now.

    Well, I got to the solution for this problem by dealing with a Blackeberry specialist at T-Mobile.  Once prompted to change your password, you must do so with your phone or through the web.  However, that is half the battle.  Once done, you have to select "Send Service Books", which will send an acknowledgement of your change to you, and will update the data base at your carrier, that the change was completed.  Without doing this, the system thinks that you have not completed the change and will continue to prompt you.

  • Cannot validate email account

    Hi, I have been using my Blackberry with 4 email accounts successfully for a couple of years.  Now one of my email accounts needs validation.  When I type the password for the validation, however, it is not accepted.  It says the password is invalid, but it's the same password I have been using for several years. 
    Any suggestions how solve this?
    THe email account is a Microsoft Web Account through the university I am afiilitated with.

     Try doing a soft reset on the phone steps are listed below, once that is done do a PRL update on the phone by dialing *228 option 2. Then make sure that your email setting on your blackberry is still set up in the correct format.
    To perform a soft reset, complete the following steps:
    Press and hold the Altkey on the BlackBerry smartphone.
    While holding down the Alt key, press and hold the Right Shiftkey.
    With both of those buttons still pressed, press the Backspace/Deletekey. The display on the BlackBerry smartphone turns off to indicate that the reset has started, and the keys can now be released.

    For several days I have been unable to take my 4 email accounts online.  I have run the network diagnostics and received the folloing result. 
    Connection status:  (green) Mail was able to connect to the Internet.
    Individual account(s)  Could not connect to this server.

    Disregard question, found it. Right click, or Ctrl+click to use submenu to Copy.

    Cannot set up Email account I once had and lost. Will not accept password(s) have account through gmail, but cannot use.

    It may be worth going directly to the gmail site: www.gmail.com can you login using what you believe to be your credentials? If not then it's likely to be an issue with the info you are using.  Also if you haven't used the account for a while it may have gone in to a suspended state, and logging back in will reactivate it. If you do manage to login ok, then try setting up the account on iPad again.

  • Unable to reconcile email accounts through wi-fi

    I am not able to send or receive emails in my 9320 through wi-fi (don't have data, so not sure if it would work that way). Report says wi-fi connected, but email does not seem to recognise it anymore.
    It was working fine a few days ago and I have not done any software update till now, trying to fix the problem.
    Also the "Reconcile now" option is gone.
    Any advice is welcome.

    For your email setup, please try this FIRST, using your BlackBerry browser...
    1)
    • Go to mobile.blackberry.com OR to www.blackberry.com/integrate
    • Scroll down to Communication and then to Email.
    • Choose the appropriate email set up options.
    If that works and completes your email setup/editing, good.
    If not, follow these additional instructions:
    2) Register HRT: (OS5) Home Screen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > Scroll to any line entry and > press the Menu key > and then click Register Now. If you have an OS 6 or OS 7 device, Look at Options > Device > Advanced > Host Routing Table, etc.
    3) Resend Service Books: Article ID: KB02830 How to send the service books for a BlackBerry Internet Service account. http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830
    4) Then, with the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.
    5) Now, return to the 1) mobile.blackberry.com email setup as mentioned above and follow that.

  • Unable to edit email accounts mac mail preferences

    I make changes - like deleting an account and adding a new one - in Mac Mail preferences, but I don't get the pop up asking if I want to save the changes. So after I turn off Mail and turn it back on, the changes have disappeared. Any way to fix this so I can get rid of my old account and add my new one?

    I went to the local Apple store earlier this week and asked on of the folks at the Genius Bar if he knew how to set the outgoing mail address. He showed me that I could enable the "reply to" field and then put my mail forwarding address into that field. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to pre-populate that field so that it always has my mail forwarding account address.
