Can Sone one help me please I set up an new email because my other one was getting spammed so when I went to put it on in email on my iPhone it says this Unable to verify account info if someone could help it would be nice thanks (by the way if i put this in the wrong community post sorry)
sorry that was hard to read ill re do it now so i was getting spammed with mail in my email so i thought to make another one (Which i did) i changed fb twitter and all that and last my Itunes thats when everything went wrong everytime i turn on my phone i get spammed with sign in with icloud even when i enter it in right then if i get it wrong it says account account locked or something then i unlock it by changing my password and i cant install apps because when i enter my password it says wrong even tho its right if someone could please help me fix this i would be really happy thanks

One of my users installed OS4 on a working Iphone 3GS accessing Exchange Via wireless (internal) and VPN (External)
Since OS4 the phone now displays unable to verify account information.
Help Please.I talked to an Apple Expert yesterday and he said that the problem appears when people restored their backups from a previous iPhone. He recommended making sure you save your data (contacts, calendar, music, photos, etc.) on your computer, then reset your iPhone back to factory settings, and when you plug it into iTunes, select the "I want a setup a new iPhone" option instead of restoring from backup. Then you'll have to re-sync all your data again. He said if you choose the new iPhone option, you shouldn't have that problem. I told him that it would be a pain for everyone in my company to do that and I tried pushing him to make this issue aware to the developers and to include it in a next software patch. He said he'll do his best to get people to investigate the issue. I have NOT tried his recommended method yet because I don't feel like wiping out my iPhone again, we'll probably just have to wait for a new update to iOS 4.

This is getting frustrating. Please help!I'm sorry. I think the only other thing I can suggest is to poke around microsoft's support pages. You stand a better chance there of finding a hotmail owner trying to access it on an iPad than finding a hotmail owner here.
I know i got a mail from them today about the changing of Skydrive to something else, so it's possible that their mucking about could be affecting things. I know when Yahoo was 'improving' their servers they'd cause random outages. -

Hi There. I was trying to setup a staff members work e-mail to a work iPhone 4. The e-mail is an Exchange e-mail. All the information is correct (e-mail spelling, username and password, Domain and Server, etc) but it keeps saying "Exchange Account - Unable to verify account information" Usually I just click Ok and it still gives me the options to select what I want to sync (Mail, Calendar, etc) and it still goes through. This time it doesn't work at all. Just saves the info I inputted and won't sync up. Any ideas on what's going on?

A user complained about not being able to log in with correct credentials (on outlook 2010) while at home. His password had expired, and when he came in this morning, he changed it. We then tried to set up his exchange account on his iPhone, which gave us the "Unable to verify account information" message. When I learned of the password change, I looked in our Active Directory and sure enough, his account had been marked as "Locked". I unlocked it, and voila! He added his account without any further problems.
So in short, check Active Directory to see if the accounts of affected users are locked. If they are, unlock them. -
Exchange - Unable to Verify Account Information
We've been trying to setup the iPad on our exchange server, 2003 version. We enter in all the info, and we keep getting the error message "unable to verify account information".
Now, I synched my droid with no problem.
Do we need to do something to the server or the iPad?

To the original OP...
if I understand you correctly and you are trying to get an Exchange email account set up on your iPad... are you entering a domain name in the mail settings on your iPad? If you have done so, try removing the domain name and see if it will work without the domain name since the information is optional. I think this is how I got mine to work. -
Hotmail account unable to verify account information?
In the past 2 days, I had to change my hotmail password and now I can not use my hotmail on my iphone5. It gives me a hot mail account, unable to verify account information. I can log in fine on my pc. When i called apple, they said it was a microsoft problem, and microsoft says it is an apple problem and they don't support hotmail.
You stated that you CANNOT use the same password. That is incorrect. You CAN use the same password. That's it. Period. End of discussion. Your original statement was false.
But, let's humor you:
The fact that I DO use the same password for my account is proof enough for me. I am an Outlook user. I am fully aware that it was a CHOICE whether or not to enable Two-Step Verification. I chose not to use it.
Secondly, this particular Apple ID that I use is new, yes. I don't use my old one much on these forums anymore. Doesn't mean I'm new to the site. I guess you don't understand how Apple IDs work very well. But that's okay.
I did read the link that you provided. You apparently did not. The first part says 'After you've turned on two-step verification'. In other words, it is NOT the default setting. It was NEVER the default setting. It was something that the user had to CHOOSE to enable.
You actually have to sign into your account, go to Password and Security, and Edit security info.
You have to CHOOSE to turn it on.

I have had my shaw email on my phone forever without problem. updated to ios8 on thursday and today i cannot access it. Password is correct but kept asking for it and saying it was wrong. Deleted the account and tried re-adding it and now i get Exchange Account Unable to Verify account information. I also tried adding it as other and same message. I went to shaw's info page but they have not updated for ios8 yet.
Thanks for your reply. I use Sky email which is managed by google. I have now deleted the account and set it up again and that seems to be working now. I'm still having problems just getting the Internet connection to work. I won't be taking on any more software upgrades in future until I'm sure that they are worth it.

I can no longer make my AOL e mail work with Mac Mail on all my devices. When I try to set up the account and put in the correct aol account and password I get the message "Unable to verify account name or password". I know the account name and password is correct as I can open the AOL e mail page on Safari. I have changed the password, and it still does not work. AOL tech support has been no help. AOL email worked for years but last week due to suspected spam activity AOL locked my AOL account. I got that straightened out but now i cannot set it up on any of my devices: Macbook Air, Ipad, I pad mini and iPhone 6 without that message. I took everything to Apple store and everything is set up correctly on my devices. AOL tech support is no help and keeps giving me different solutions and answers, none of which has worked. Any solutions out there? All my Apple Software is up to date on all my devices
Delete your Gmail account from the Mail/Contacts/Calendars settings page, and then add it back in using the new Gmail password.

I bought my iPad several months ago and I thought I set up my iCloud account correctly but I may not have, as I was fairly new to this venture.
Every time I try to access it, it tells me, Verifying and after a little while it tells me Unable to Verify Account, so I guess I don't have something right.
This is Problem (1)
Problem (2) is, I can't add Contacts to my Contacts APP. Now I asked a Person at the ATT store where I purchased my iPad, she showed me what
to do, I said that was easy enough, and when I got home I went to my tablet and My APP did not have a (+) Sign at the bottom of the page like hers
did, and hers looked so easy. Is my CONTACT APP not downloaded correctly, or is it an old version? Because it came on my Tablet already? So How do I
ADD my Contacts?
