Unable to Verify Address for iMessage

Trying to set up iMessage on my iPod Touch (iOS5).  I have a valid Apple ID, and it has been verified. I received the verification link via email on my computer, clicked it, and the Apple ID has in fact been verified.   I even received the "Welcome" email from iTunes letting me know how to dowload music, video etc..
BUT when try to launch iMessage on my iPod Touch, I get the message, "Unable to verify address.  An email with a verification link has been sent to the above email address" However, no such email has been sent.  I logged back into my Apple ID and checked my account, and everything's been verified.

  • ITunes unable to verify address for sales tax - "Please try again later"

Just bought a new iPod Classic, and when I first connected to my MacBook, I got all the way through registering the iPod when I came to a screen for address verification. The county I live in was able to be pulled up in the drop down menu, but when I hit done, it loads for a bit then gives me an error message that says "We are currently experiencing technical difficulties. Please try again later."
Since I can't sync my iPod until I am done with this screen, I am stuck. Has this happened to anyone else and is there any fix besides waiting for the error to be fixed?

    Hello e-b p,
Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
When encountering iTunes Store connectivity issues, the following resources provide the best solutions. To isolate the issue further, I'd be curious to know if it persists on other Wi-Fi networks (assuming you are using a portable computer). Either way, please attempt the steps outlined in these articles:

  • I'm unable to add the email address for iMessage, that I was using before iOS 7 to my iPhone, because it says that it is "in use by another device," but I have no other devices.  How do I resolve this so I can add this email address to my iPhone?

I'm unable to add the email address for iMessage, that I was using before iOS 7 to my iPhone, because it says that it is "in use by another device," but I have no other devices.  How do I resolve this so I can add this email address to my iPhone to send and recieve iMessages?

Sync your iPhone to iTunes, and see if that does the trick.  Also you could try a Soft Reset with no Risk to Data.  Holding down both the Sleep button and the Home button until the Apple logo appears and then waiting for the Reset to bring you iPhone back to the lock screen.    Are you trying to add the email at Settings>Messages>Send and Receive from (2 Addresses) your iPhone number and your email address?

  • I'm a little confused as to how Apple ID works.  Do I need separate Apple IDs or email addresses for iMessage, iCloud, and Facetime?

Do I need separate Apple IDs or email addresses for iMessage, iCloud, and Facetime?
Everytime I attempt to use my Apple ID associated with iTunes with iMessage, iCloud, or Facetime, it tells me: 'Unable to verify email because it is already in use'.  I've been playing around with it and find when I enter another email address other then the one associated with my iTunes account, it'll work.  So it seems that my Apple ID will log me into the cloud (or whatever it may be), but I need another email address for the messages to be sent to?  Perhaps somebody can clarify for me.  Thanks in advance!

activation of imessage requires the ability to send an SMS message to a number commencing with +44.  Do you have the ability to send international text messageswhile  in Japan?

  • Re-Occurring Blue Screen~Dump files included~Please Help~Unable to verify timestamp for ntkrnlpa.exe

    Hello,
Starting yesterday I started getting the BSOD. I have uploaded my dump files to this dropbox account:
    www.dropbox.com/sh/w3ryago8pfcw2y2/AAAR5i6Crx5q-p--xdESJjnMa
There are lots of them as my PC crashed many times.
I attempted to analyze them with windbg but all I can see is:
Unable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\ntkrnlpa.exe, Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for ntkrnlpa.exe
Also I ran sfc /scannow and it found no integrity violations.
After the first BSOD I was barely able to get Windows to load without another immediate crash. I couldn't boot my PC last night but today seems okay so far. CPU temp was fine, actually quite cool as I had my window open right by the PC with the side off
the case and it was cold last night. Today, so far, seems to be running okay...so far anyways..
Windows update recently installed a driver for my on-board video card (Nvidia GeForce 6150n) on the 18th I think as I started using a 2nd monitor using the on-board card in addition to my PCI Express Ati Radeon HD. To use the second screen, I switched
the primary video in CMOS to on-board instead of PCI-E 16x so the on-board Nvidia card would be enabled.
I also installed brand new ram (4gb DDR2) about a month ago
and a new power supply 2 months ago. The power supply is not "exactly" the same voltage as the one that was in there but it's dang close. But I don't have any power leeching components.
Other than that nothing new has happened. After I got the crash, I tried to enter CMOS yesterday and it glitched out on me twice. I hope it's not my motherboard..
I am willing to do a system re-format as I am running Windows 7 32bit on a 64bit AMD so I wouldn't mind having 64 bit Windows anyways but I'd like to know what the problem is before I do this. Thank you.

    Hi,
All of the attached DMP files are of the
    WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (124) bug check.
A fatal hardware error has occurred. This fatal error displays data from the Windows Hardware Error Architecture (WHEA).
If we run an !errrec on the 2nd parameter of the bug check (address of the WER structure) we get the following:
    BugCheck 124, {0, 867d2024, b2000010, 10c0f}

    Severity : Fatal
    Error : BUSLG_OBS_ERR_*_NOTIMEOUT_ERR (Proc 0 Bank 4)
    Status : 0xb200001000010c0f
This is a pretty complicated error compared to other possibilities it could have been, as it implies you have a hardware fault somewhere along the bus (not very definitive on its own).
In our case however, we can go a bit deeper with this one:
    0: kd> .formats 0xb200001000010c0f
    Evaluate expression:
    Hex: b2000010`00010c0f
    Decimal: -5620492266238833649
    Octal: 1310000001000000206017
    Binary: 10110010 00000000 00000000 00010000 00000000 00000001 00001100 00001111

    Time: ***** Invalid FILETIME
    Float: low 9.61613e-041 high -7.45059e-009
    Double: -7.41853e-068
Now that we have this info, we'd refer to the AMD manual:
    63 VAL Valid
    62 OVER Status Register Overflow
    61 UC Uncorrected Error
    60 EN Error Condition Enabled
    59 MISCV Miscellaneous-Error Register Valid
    58 ADDRV Error-Address Register Valid
    57 PCC Processor-Context Corrupt
    56–32 Other Information
    31–16 Model-Specific Error Code
    15–0 MCA Error Code
In our specific case, bit 63 of the status code is set, so it is valid. Bit 62 of the status code is
unset, therefore there's no overflow. Bit 61 implies an uncorrected error has occurred, and Bit 60 implies an error condition was enabled. Last but not least, Bit 57 is
set and implies a corrupted processor context.
If we take a look at the last 15 bits of the binary:
    Binary: [trimming] 00001100 00001111
In our case, the MSB in binary (00001100 ), implies a bus error occurred (as I mentioned above). We need to further decode the bits to understand more:
    [0000]1100 00001111
    0000 = 1PPT RRRR IILL.
    PP = Participation Processor, T = Timeout,
    R = Memory Transaction Type, I = Memory and/or I/O, and finally
    L = Cache Level.
With this said, it appears we actually have a faulty motherboard as the processor seems fine, etc. The only other thing I see possible is bad RAM, which you can figure out whether or not is the case by running no less than ~8 passes of Memtest:
    Memtest86+:
    Download Memtest86+ here:
    http://www.memtest.org/
    Which should I download?
You can either download the pre-compiled ISO that you would burn to a CD and then boot from the CD, or you can download the auto-installer for the USB key. What this will do is format your USB drive, make it a bootable device, and then install the necessary
files. Both do the same job, it's just up to you which you choose, or which you have available (whether it's CD or USB).
Do note that some older generation motherboards do not support USB-based booting, therefore your only option is CD (or Floppy if you really wanted to).
    How Memtest works:
Memtest86 writes a series of test patterns to most memory addresses, reads back the data written, and compares it for errors.
The default pass does 9 different tests, varying in access patterns and test data. A tenth test, bit fade, is selectable from the menu. It writes all memory with zeroes, then sleeps for 90 minutes before checking to see if bits have changed (perhaps because
of refresh problems). This is repeated with all ones for a total time of 3 hours per pass.
Many chipsets can report RAM speeds and timings via SPD (Serial Presence Detect) or EPP (Enhanced Performance Profiles), and some even support changing the expected memory speed. If the expected memory speed is overclocked, Memtest86 can test that memory performance
is error-free with these faster settings.
Some hardware is able to report the "PAT status" (PAT: enabled or PAT: disabled). This is a reference to Intel Performance acceleration technology; there may be BIOS settings which affect this aspect of memory timing.
This information, if available to the program, can be displayed via a menu option.
Any other questions, they can most likely be answered by reading this great guide here:

    Hello,
I had a server crash recently and our outsource hosting tech support suggested applying Cumulative Upade 12 for SQL server 2008R2 SP2 to fix the issue.  The exception from our dump file "Warning: Unable to Verify TimeStamp for Path\ProgramName"

    Thank you,
    Steve -

The error message appears to be related to a debug session and not come from the actual crash.
So all I know is that you hade a server crash. I don't even know exactly what that means. Did Windows bite the dust? Or was it only SQL Server?
Assuming the latter, I would expect the SQL Server errorlog to have some information (and that would be ERRORLOG.1 or earlier, since the server have been restarted), but if SQL Server died the output may be incomplete.
There may be also dump files, but as I rarely look into these, I am not sure how to interpret them. But I am quite confident that "Unable to verify TimeStamp..." is not the reason SQL Server went down.
I would suggest the following course:
    *  If the server is not critical, do nothing. As long as it has onlyl happened once, it has only happened once.
    *  If the server is critical, open a case with Microsoft if you are not able to figure out the reason yourself. The key here is "Unknown exception - code 000042ac".
    *  If it happens again, you should absolutely open a case. An important thing here is whether the stack dump is identical or something different. If the stack dumps are identical, you may have hit a bug in SQL Server or the OS, and applying CUs or OS
fixes could help if it is a known issue. If the stack dump is something else, you have ghosts in the machine - that is, bad hardware.

  • HT204380 mobile number is still in 'verifying' state for imessage and facetime

unable to verify mobile number for imessage and facetime. Everytime I on/off the imesssage and facetime it charged internatinal sms price but never activate the mobile number.

Turn iMessage off and do a reset on the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. After it has finished, go back to Messages and turn iMessage back on. After it has activated, you can check the Send & Receive, it should be correct. The iPhone and iMessage get the phone number information from the SIM, it should change after completing this. The number should be gray and a check by it. That one cannot be changed, but if the old number shows up, you should be able to remove the checkmark by it.

  • How to not display email in imessage header OR delete old appleid to free up social email address for imessage

    Hi,
I have a business email and a separtate "social" email that i use for friends etc. The business email I have is signed up to Itunes/appstore for my iPad3.
So I want to display my "social" email instead to my contacts that I imessage, but NOT sign up to itunes with this email (i dont mind varifying it).
The PROBLEM is that years ago I must have signed onto itunes and now have the "social" email  address as an appleid. Now when I try to use this email for the "recieve at" setting, it does not let me. Also the PROBLEM is that you can never delete an appleid!!!!!!
I DO NOT want to have to add yet another email account for this, and I want one that my friends will recognise!
    how do I either:
    1) delete that old appleid so I can use this email for imessage?
    OR
    2) Hide my business email on the "From" imessage header?
    Thanks.

All good, I loved with AppStore and now everything seems to be back to normal.

  • FaceTime is Unable to verify address

In trying to sign into FaceTime using my Apple ID with the corresponding password, I get the "unable to verify email" message.  When I try to use my Apple ID with an arbitrary password, I get an "Incorrect Apple ID or password" error message.  Could it be Airport Extreme or Virus Barrier v6?  I get no message in my junk email.  I've read issues with iPods and iPads but I haven't come across any discussions with FaceTime on iMacs with OSX Lion.
    Any links?
Additional:  Could it be due to having several ampersands in the password?

  • Newly built home.  Unable to verify address.  Apple not responding.  What can I do?

I recently moved into a brand new home on a new street.  I am currently unable to purchase anything on the itunes store because my address cannot be verified.  I've submitted the form to Apple, however I have received no response other than the auto-generated email.  Someone please help!  I am not able to use the post office website to verify the address either although I do receive mail at the new home.  Is there any way for me to speak with someone at Apple?

  • Changed domain profiles - now unable to verify identify for password recovery

This problem seems to have incorporated parts of other threads. I do not know if the anyone else ended up at the same place - frankly, the IBM / Lenovo support process is bewildering.
Anyhow, we switched domains recently. I dropped the domain profile to a local profile, then rejoined to the next domain. Problems ensued.
At this point, I have gone into BIOS and purged all fingerprint information (after uninstalling CSS 8.0 and fingerprint 5.6 software). Reinstalled CSS (8.1) and FP 5.6. Was eventually able to delete the fingerprint profiles associated with the previous user profile. Enrolled FP for the new profile.
I am repeatedly asked to verify my identify. However, I am unable to modify / recover the CSS password. I can complete the three questions to get into the password manager, but never can reset the CSS pw)
Frankly, I do not even know if I am describing this correctly. Uugh. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What I had to end up doing was re-sync the password used on the old domain with the password stored in the CSS.
I did this be changing my password under the windows change password function. The password had to match exactly. After that, I logged into CSS normally, without a hitch. Once confirmed, I could modify my windows password normally, and CSS somehow synchronized with this.
    Hope this helps.
