The installation file provided by Mozilla in .tar.bz2 format does not contain sources but pre-compiled binary files, therefore you can simply unpack and run them. There is no need to compile the program from source.
So once you run it with all dependencies, Firefox should run.

I have installed the updated version of Firefox but it has automatically disabled my Kaspersky anti virus web browsing extension. I have now uninstalled Firefox and would like the earlier version back please.
The main Protection is still active because it scan traffic product regardless.the addon are just shortcut of few things like Virtual Keyboard, Url Banner etc. But doesnot get you '''more''' protection.If your Antivirus say green and your web component is enable then all is good. You are protected. :)

I saw a similar post had not been answered but I'm hoping I'll have better luck.
Anyone know why this is happening? There is a "Burn Folder" on the desktop which I put all my files that need to be copied onto my dvd but after my unverified error message, I have an Untitled DVD folder on my desktop, even though I've named my DVD already, with a folder icon instead of a DVD icon. Hmmmm.....

I've tried them on this system as well as two others, but it's still unnerving as I'm trying to make some pretty important backs and archives. (Verification isn't necessary for a usable DVD . . . it's just what it's called . . . a verification that the disc is good)
Don't be concerned about the burn folder . . . that is Apple's way of making it easy to redo a burn if the original one wasn't successful. I suggest trying to view your DVD on another system and see if it did in fact burn. If so, you can delete the burn folder. It should just be a folder with an alias to the file, so you won't be deleting the actual file.
Let's hope there's a fix for this! It's really annoying and frustrating! -
Unable to verify credentials, 9i on NT - works with 7x ver9001100
I am able to connect to our 7x database (which is on a Solaris/Sun server) using the 9001100 ODBC driver from either an ASP or ActiveX object. Recently I attempted to use the same code to connect to a 9i database running on a Windows 2000 server, which uses Active Directory.
I am able to create a DSN, and the connection tests as functional, but when trying to connect from the website I get a "Unable to verify credentials" type of error. I can switch the DSN over to Microsoft's Oracle ODBC driver and the application will run without a problem.
I would like to resolve this and use the Oracle driver, it makes using stored procedures etc much easier, and in general I've had better luck with it in the past.
Thanks...I would run Credential Manager on the client and try deleting the stored TERMSRV credentials, or adding the credentials if they are not there. Your Internet or network address should be in the form TERMSRV/servername and user name should be Domain\User.
I would compare the connection security settings between the Windows 2008 R2 and Windows 2012 R2 servers. In server manager on the Connection Broker of Windows 2012 R2, select Remote Desktop Services then the Collection for Remote Desktop. It
will be the one that has Remote Desktop listed after Resources in the Property pane of the collection. Select Tasks the edit properties. Select Security. In Windows 2008 R2, click Start/Administrative Tools/Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration.
Under Connections, right click RDP-Tcp and select Properties. The General tab will list the security settings. Compare these and look for differences which might provide a clue. -
Order Canceled: unable to verify information
Placed a $30 order last week. Cancelled immediately "unable to verify information" after getting the order confirmation. Spent 45 minutes on the phone to be told, "I don't know." Shipping and Billing info are correct. The same credit card seems to work just fine on Amazon with the same shipping and billing information. Anywho, I let it slide, bought the stuff I needed from Amazon (with the same card and info) and waited on the transaction to cancel from Best Buy so I could get my rewards back.
Yesterday, bought a Nest thermostat for my Father-In-Law. I used the $25 in Rewards I had refunded from my previous cancelled order. Bought the thermostat at a great price, used my Rewards, I was happy. Confirmation email...Thank you for your order......seconds later......cancelled....Unable to Verify info. I checked all info. My wife and I have spent, AT LEAST, 2 hours on the phone this morning trying to find someone that can help us. We weren't rude or hateful. We understand it's Thanksgiving-Black Friday-All hell breaks loose weekend. We have just been asking the same question. WHY was it cancelled? I have been a Best Buy customer for as long as I can rememeber. But, the recent hiccups are bothersome...and the fact I have spent HOURS on the phone regarding TWO purchases totaling $230 is disappointing. Even after telling support that this gift was for my Father-In-Law for Christmas...they wouldn't let me place the order with my credit card...and give me a $25 credit...so I could have peace of mind the order is placed. Then, I don't mind waiting on a resolution. But, everyone I spoke to just transferred me to someone else. I was transferred to Geek Squad TV Repair....we were transferred at least 5 times....and disconnected 3 of those 5.
I know what you're thinking. We probabaly blasted them and were rude. No. We weren't. It just seems that this is a Best Buy issue and no one knows what's going on. I've checked the info...I called my Bank....they see the transaction and have no clue why Best Buy cancelled it.

Add to the case notes that we decided, after multiple attempts contacting support the past few days, that we chose to buy the thermostat elsewhere. We just did not want to miss out on the sale price ending 12/1, and did not have confidence this would be resolved before that time. We asked several of the agents to either push the order through or place the order with a $25 credit, but no one would. And it was all maybe's regarding whether or not I'd get the same deal when and if this was fixed.

The message you go says that Apple sent to the email account you used an email to verify your email account. You have to open up that email message and then click on the link inside to complete verifying the email address.

Bought a new iPad2 with wi-fi access. I am at home on my wi-fi network using iPad. Trying to add my Hotmail account to the iPad so I can retrieve my e-mail messages. When I try to add the Hotmail e-mail account to the iPad, I select Windows Live Hotmail on the iPad. I then enter my Hotmail e-mail address and Hotmail password in the iPad. The iPad then says Verifying. Then a box pops up saying "Hotmail Account, Unable To Verify Account Information". I spent about an hour on the phone with iPad support and they tried everything they could to no avail. iPad support said I would need to contact Hotmail support. I have learned that Hotmail does not have a support phone number that you can call, only a search area that is of no help. I am able to log onto my Hotmail e-mail account no problem on my regular computer. I was able to program my wife's Comcast.net e-mail into the iPad no problem and bring up her e-mail on the iPad. I can not get past the "Unable to verify Hotmail Account Information" message on the iPad. Frustrated, want to be able to retrieve my Hotmail e-mail messages from my iPad, please help! Thank you.
My hotmail was working properly until one month ago , then I do not what happens ... My mistake has been to cancel that account and try to re-load it... I am blocked at "unable to verify account details".

I bought my iPad several months ago and I thought I set up my iCloud account correctly but I may not have, as I was fairly new to this venture.
Every time I try to access it, it tells me, Verifying and after a little while it tells me Unable to Verify Account, so I guess I don't have something right.

Starting yesterday I started getting the BSOD. I have uploaded my dump files to this dropbox account:

There are lots of them as my PC crashed many times.
I attempted to analyze them with windbg but all I can see is:

After the first BSOD I was barely able to get Windows to load without another immediate crash. I couldn't boot my PC last night but today seems okay so far. CPU temp was fine, actually quite cool as I had my window open right by the PC with the side off
the case and it was cold last night. Today, so far, seems to be running okay...so far anyways..
Windows update recently installed a driver for my on-board video card (Nvidia GeForce 6150n) on the 18th I think as I started using a 2nd monitor using the on-board card in addition to my PCI Express Ati Radeon HD. To use the second screen, I switched
the primary video in CMOS to on-board instead of PCI-E 16x so the on-board Nvidia card would be enabled.
I also installed brand new ram (4gb DDR2) about a month ago
and a new power supply 2 months ago. The power supply is not "exactly" the same voltage as the one that was in there but it's dang close. But I don't have any power leeching components.
Other than that nothing new has happened. After I got the crash, I tried to enter CMOS yesterday and it glitched out on me twice. I hope it's not my motherboard..
I am willing to do a system re-format as I am running Windows 7 32bit on a 64bit AMD so I wouldn't mind having 64 bit Windows anyways but I'd like to know what the problem is before I do this. Thank you.

In our specific case, bit 63 of the status code is set, so it is valid. Bit 62 of the status code is
unset, therefore there's no overflow. Bit 61 implies an uncorrected error has occurred, and Bit 60 implies an error condition was enabled. Last but not least, Bit 57 is
set and implies a corrupted processor context.
If we take a look at the last 15 bits of the binary:

In our case, the MSB in binary (00001100 ), implies a bus error occurred (as I mentioned above). We need to further decode the bits to understand more:

Which should I download?
You can either download the pre-compiled ISO that you would burn to a CD and then boot from the CD, or you can download the auto-installer for the USB key. What this will do is format your USB drive, make it a bootable device, and then install the necessary
files. Both do the same job, it's just up to you which you choose, or which you have available (whether it's CD or USB).
Do note that some older generation motherboards do not support USB-based booting, therefore your only option is CD (or Floppy if you really wanted to).
How Memtest works:
Memtest86 writes a series of test patterns to most memory addresses, reads back the data written, and compares it for errors.
The default pass does 9 different tests, varying in access patterns and test data. A tenth test, bit fade, is selectable from the menu. It writes all memory with zeroes, then sleeps for 90 minutes before checking to see if bits have changed (perhaps because
of refresh problems). This is repeated with all ones for a total time of 3 hours per pass.
Many chipsets can report RAM speeds and timings via SPD (Serial Presence Detect) or EPP (Enhanced Performance Profiles), and some even support changing the expected memory speed. If the expected memory speed is overclocked, Memtest86 can test that memory performance
is error-free with these faster settings.
Some hardware is able to report the "PAT status" (PAT: enabled or PAT: disabled). This is a reference to Intel Performance acceleration technology; there may be BIOS settings which affect this aspect of memory timing.
This information, if available to the program, can be displayed via a menu option.

Unable to verify computers eligibility with Apple to install OS X
Hello,
I am using a Mac Book Pro 13inch aluminum Uni-body design. I can not give the specific model as the writing on the bottom is worn off. Basically it is the body style before they got rid of the CD Drive. I am not sure on how to get any further system information without an OS. The last operating system I had was Lion.
My hard drive failed a few weeks ago and I have bought and installed a new drive and reformatted it in ________. I can not get the install to work though from there I have tried several methods which list below and none seam to work.
1. Installing from an internet recovery:
I can get the internet recovery to load however when trying install I either get:
Could not find installation infomation for this machine.
An error occurred while preparing the installation. Try running this application again.
2. Installing from an other computer booted in 'T' mode.
The other computer had Mavericks which could have been a problem but the computer I am trying to reload is new enough that it is eligible for the free Mavericks upgrade anyway.
3. Installing from the old drive put into an external case using the option method when booting.
The recovery system boots but when trying to reinstall OS X the boot process just spins and spins while trying to verify computers eligibility with Apple. I left it over night and still it did not get past this screan.
4. Installing from a bootable USB
I keep getting the error "This copy of the install OS X mavericks can't be verified."
Any suggestions?Did you install Lion yourself or did the MacBook Pro come with Lion? If it is a model that came with Snow Leopard, do you still have the install disk that came with the machine? If you do, restart holding the C key so you boot the install disk and use that to format and install SL. Then you can upgrade to Mavericks.
If you do not have the install disk, and can boot the old drive in an external case, boot the old drive, download a copy of Carbon Copy Cloner, and clone the old drive to the new internal drive. That wll allow you to clone all content and the recovery hard drive partition and make the new drive bootable. -
