Unable to view color themes in Kuler pannel
I am unable to view color themes in my Kuler pannel in Illustartor. It gives me an error saying: no color themes found in your account. How can I browse existing color themes?

Can I upload color themes via API?
I would like to upload color themes to Kuler accounts from our Android app, Real Colors (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.macaw.pro).

Kuler currently does not have any public APIs that support uploading color themes to Kuler acounts. However, we are actively looking into how can we help the Kuler customers in this regard. We will inform the community via forum posts if and when we have any news to share on this front.

Color fractals using Kuler themes
I've just released version 3.2 of Mandelbrot Explorer. This is free software that allows someone to enlarge the Mandelbrot Set (and Julia Sets) to produce detailed fractal images, and to color the resulting image with a color scheme that the user devises. One of the new features in this latest release is the ability to integrate with Kuler; they can search the themes that have been submitted by the community to Kuler, and then color their fractal image using the theme they select. The work that people put in to devise, submit and then review themes in Kuler can therefore help someone drawing fractals to colour them in ways that are aesthetically pleasing.

To get swatch values, an alternate to using the picker tool in the product is to directly use the website. You can ge the swatch values by selecting a theme in the browse view and then clicking on the make changes ot this theme button which will take you to the theme creation view with all the color values located at the bottom of the page under the corresponding swatch.

I have hundreds of .mod files which are supported but I am unable to view them on my Adobe Photoshop Elements 11. I cant see the picture icons as pictures or see the vision when i select them? I am running the latest Windows 8.1 PC with heaps of Ram and memory. If I import the files into Premiere they play fine?

I did re-set the prefs - but to no avail
I checked and my graphics driver and audio is all up to date.
No sure how to verify Windows Media Player's hardware acceleration options. I opened WMP Options /Perfformance tab and under Cd the DirX tab is checked.
Running Windows Vista - so does the same caution apply regarding a re-install of Windows Media Components and DirectX ?
Appreciate your help with this somewhat frustrating issue. I am converting some old 8mm film to avi with the hope of doing some edits then burning to DVD.

Can't locate email content? All of a sudden my email content has disappeared from inside MacMail? The actual emails are coming through but I am unable to view them in the content area! Nothing has been done to have changed this?

This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2. -
I can tranfer them to a hard drive on my PC, but am unable to view most of them using QuickTime Player 7.7.4. Doesn't matter if I'm viewing them via a USB connection to my iPhone5 or from a hard drive after the file has been copied via USB. 1% of the vids are viewable, 20% open with a black screen and audio only. The rest open with a blue, purple and green stryrated mess and no audio. Yes its a Quick Time problem I know but where do I post this question in the community? Also searching my drives for other .MOV files downloaded from the net I find the same problem with them.

2. Opens file to a very large window, most of it off the screen, it should REMEMBER what you resized it to, so the next time a video is played you don't have to drag the window back on the screen so you can get to the resizing handle in the lower corner.
3. Doesn't buffer while playing, so the movies are extremely erractic, starting and stopping every 3 seconds, highly annoying.
OK so maybe my PC is too slow, its a dual processor 486 Hyperrthread 2.8G but I only have 2Gigs of memory, however, bettery than 50% of the memory is still available while playing a vid (memory is checked every 4 seconds with a program), but I have 90-100% CPU useage going on while playing.
Maybe I should think about a new computer. -
When I purchase movies from Itunes I am unable to view them. But when I rent a movie it is viewable. Why is this?

I can't search, can't load anything. It's empty. To create my own scheme I had to go across a bit. It's not exporting anything with Opera 12, so I had to catch the link and open it in other browser. That's how I saved my palette, and I can load it. But that's all I can do with Color themes.Hi Monika,
What is the reason that it is possible to search for (explore) color themes from within the Color Themes panel in InDesign and Photoshop, but not in Illustrator? Seems a bit odd…

I lost all my color themes in the update from Kuler to Color CC.
When I went to use the Kuler app on my phone, I saw it is now Color CC. All of the color themes are gone! How can I retrieve them? I've logged into my Adobe acct and they are not there. Please help!
Please take a look at these steps below. Let me know if this guidance does not help.
If you have signed in to your Color (aka Kuler) app before, your themes are safe. Most likely, your themes are all synced to the Color service. Here’s how to find them:
Website: navigate to color.adobe.com and sign in. Click on the "My Themes" tab. Your colors should be showing up there. Note, at this moment in time, you cannot save themes from the color.adobe.com website directly to a library. This only works with the iOS application.
iPhone/iPad: if you aren’t seeing your themes, but you are signed in, the problem is most likely solved by switching the library you are using. You can do this by tapping the menu bar at the top of the theme gallery. From here, you will see a menu that allows you to select to either save themes to color.dobe.com or to a CC library. Your old themes are stored in the color.adobe.com option.
Desktop software: (I.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, inDesign) you can always find your colors on the Color Themes panel. This is located in Windows/Extensions/Color Themes for PS and ID. And, Windows/Color Themes for Ai. If you are looking for a color that you saved to a library from the mobile app, you can find this in Window/Library. Note, you must have the most current versions of PS, AI, and ID for this to work.
If you have never signed in to the app before, you themes are not saved. The only option you will have, at this point, is to restore your phone from a back-up via iTunes. Note, we’re working to release a new update that will allow users to carry themes forward to the updated version. And, I’m really sorry about any problems this may have caused. More than 5 colors for Kuler/Color Theme?

Righ now the Kuler/Color Theme panel allows for up to 5 harmonized colors.
But what if I want to add another 5, 10, 15 or 20 harmonized colors to my theme? How would I do that?
I'm looking for a way to ensure that when I pick colors, that they're all harmonized with eachother and won't clash when I put them in my image in Photoshop. I think the 5 colors are standard, but what method do I use to add more? I think it might have something to do with dragging the color points in the kuler color wheel, but I'm not sure.
For example if I'm working on a colorful digital painting, sometimes I use a wide range of colors, but when I paint them down on the canvas they all seem to clash - I'm trying to find a way to either:
a) harmonize all colors in an image using a filter or something similar
or
b) find a way to pick colors that are pre-harmonized , perhaps from a swatch set that contains pre-harmoniozed colors. This is where I would use Kuler, but again it only allows for up to 5 colors. I need to find a way to add many more colors to a theme while keeping their colors synced with eachother. Hope this makes sense...
Any input would be greatChange the brightness, saturation, etc after you've selected your color in Photoshop or whatever. You can have as many color variations as you want:)

Can kuler color themes be shared between CC Teams?
Is it possible for color themes, color groups, swatches etc created in Kuler or in cc applications such as PS, AI, ID, FW to be shared securely between cc team members?
I know using Kuler I can create my themes and download these for use in applications, but can they then be shared through cc for use by other team members?

Tehere may be a number of things disturbing and confusing Illy. You may have a look at the list. Maybe Item 7) or something else under 5) can be relevant.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save curent artwork first, of course.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to at least 5 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

Issue in Color Theme on the map with ADF geographic components
I am facing an issue in bringing up a map using color theme .I can able to bring up a map with color themes using geographic components feature in ADF.
The problem here is 'Edit Color Map Theme' dialog which lists Map Theme in five categories like continents,counties,countries,states_abbrev,states_names.
we had implemented map using Color Theme based on the states_abbrev and found it was working properly.
But after some days we found that the settings we made to work for the map no longer works and resulted in no color theme on the map being displayed on the page.
It was found that the states_names works properly instead of states_abbrev by that time.
But again after some days it didnt work with state_names and we revert back our code to follow state_abbrev so as to get the desired result.
Does somebody know where is the problem and how to approach this issue?Quick Install is gone.
Database repair doesn't work.
Color coded categories is gone, and as you've discovered Theme colors are gone.
Print to Excel is gone.
Many desktop clients that worked with 4.2 do not work.
It won't work with legacy devces.
and others.... There are lots of complaints about 6.2 scattered around the forums. Personally, the HotSync manager keeps forgetting the connections I've set, and goes to default views.
You aren't missing much of anything, IMHO.

Chinese characters not showing [through AIRSQL]
