Unable to view jpeg photos using Quicktime

Trying to open any jpeg photos crashes Quicktime 7.4.5. I've tried uninstall/reinstall of Quicktime and still no luck. I had to switch to windows picture viewer. Man, they're have been a lot of issues with Quicktime lately...I see the Buffer overrun error issues haven't been resolved eiher. I still have that one as well as the update issue from with Quicktime or the Quicktime control panel icon. come get with it Apple just scrap the program or fix it!

Use the free Flip4Mac Windows Media Components for Quicktime.

Unable to view ALL photos in V 8.1.2  Only able to view past 18 months.

    Wild guess:
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

  • Unable to view recent photos on my Mac in PSE 11 organizer

unable to view recent photos on my Mac in PSE 11 organizer ..I see them in Iphoto not organizer..Please help

On import, iPhoto copies photos into its library, which is proprietary to itself and should never be poked and prodded from outside iphoto or you run a strong risk of corrupting the library and losing your photos. So you eventually need to choose between iphoto and organizer.
If you want to use iphoto, then you have two choices:
    1. Set PSE as your external editor and send the photos from iphoto to PSE, edit them, then save without changing the name or format (you may need to adjust the pse preferences>saving files>on first save), and iphoto will remember your last edits and the orginal. However, you must to lose the edited version to use the original again, and this method doesn't work well with raw files.
    2. Export the photos from iphoto to the desktop, user File>Open in the editor,  edit the photos, make all the changes to name and format that you like, save the photos and import them back to iphoto as new files.
Or if you decide you prefer organizer, set the this iphoto preference to No Application and you can call up the photo downloader from within organizer, or just drag the photo with the images in it from the card to wherever you want to keept them:
and of course you don't need to user either iphoto or organizer unless you want.

  • Newbie Question- unable to view certain photos in iPhoto 6

First time Mac user..just got my MBP.
I created folders and albums under iPhoto. I then copied .JPGs from my shared Windows drive directly into the albums. They get imported correctly because I can see all the pictures in the "gallery" view. However, when I click certain individual pictures, I get a outlined grey box with an exclamation in the middle. This happens with about half the photos. I can't seem to view them.
However, when I go through Finder, I am able to double click on the same photos and view them using Preview. Full size.
Anyone know why I am unable to view certain photos in iPhoto but am able to view everything in Preview?
    Any help is appreciated..
    Thanks!

    Hi cran,
Check out this apple kb article and see if it might help

  • Unable to View Data in using Adobe Reader (9)

We are facing an issue in one of the scenario when we generate the pdf where the data needs to displayed month-wise in columns and months are more than 15 months then the report generates successfully but we are unable to view the data even though the data is available and we are able to select/copy the data using the select tool.By default the report is opening at 5.85%. But When we generate the report for the lesser number of months say (9) then we can view the data.

You can chage your default context from Global to ABCD , whatsever name.
Goto File menu ---> User parameters -->Default Context for Designer
Specify whatever value you want .

  • Unable to view certain photos on camera roll

I took two photos using my iPhone 4 on Saturday. Both the pictures appeared on my iPhone fine. Then when I looked at the photos on Sunday, the thumbnails has been replaced with a grey/white image with "png" on it. Now I cannot view the photos. Any ideas why this has occured and if there is a way I can retreive the photos?
    Thanks.

  • Unable to view sent photos

suddenly, when people send me attached photos, I am unable to download or view them. all I get is something like this:
    ------=NextPart_001_014001C6F62D.01D8BB60
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
    X-Apple-Content-Length: 1136
    Content-Type: text/plain;
    charset=US-ASCII
Is there someway to reset the mail program to view the photos?
    thanks

    Bonnie,
    Welcome to the Discussions.
What type of account do you have -- POP, IMAP or .mac?
When you receive the message, is the message size large enough to indicate there is a photo attachment? You would need to have Size as one of the Columns selected under View, btw.
It is more likely the result of something the sender is doing, but we need to check everything.
If the answers to these questions don't help, then you can send me an email, and I will send you a test message with a known attachment type. My address can be found by clicking on my name to the left, and looking in the bio line of my Profile.

  • NMH405 - Unable to view any files using the FIle Browser

    Hello,
I logged in to the FIle Browser, hoping to delete some photos from my media hub. However, I am unable to view any music, photo, or video files on this page, nothing listed. All blank when I clicked on these 3 folders.
No problems accessing the actual files in their respective pages. I could play the music and video files, and view the photos. But I can't carry out any maintenance on them via the File Browser.
Checked the User Guide, but couldn't find any clues to this problem. Could someone please help me?
    Thanks!

    Hi there,
Files that were imported and stored on the Import Folder won't be detected on the NMH File Browser. You may only see them if you manually classify the files to it's corresponding folder.
It means, you need to move the files based on their file type. AVIs, WMV, etc. should be placed on your Videos folder .. Mp3s, Wavs, etc. should be moved to the Music folder .. Jpgs, Gifs, etc. should be moved to Pictures folder ..
    Hope this clarifies your concern.
    Cheers!

  • Unable to view iMessage photos on iPhone6

    Hi,
Today I received my new iPhone 6, My brother sent me a photo through iMessage, but I am not able to view the photo in my iPhone 6, where as I can see the photo on my mac.
    Any suggestions?

I am having the same issue too.  The photo is downloading fully but not on that screen.  Click on details (top right) and view the attachments and the photos are there.
This is what it looks like in iMessage:
This is what it looks like after shutting the phone off and powering back on:

  • Can't export as a still photo using QuickTime conversion

    In FCP7 ...
I've always been able to take one frame of a video (as a Sequence) and "Export Using QuickTime Conversion."
When I try that today, FCP keeps locking up and crashing.
    Help!

Sometimes my machine starts acting oddly when dealing with QT files. In my case the problem is related to when I start the computer without my firewire mixer also up and running. It is usually solved by shutting the computer down, unplugging it from the mixer and the power for 15 minutes then restarting. Unplugging the thing and letting capaciters drain seems to solve it. Your mileage may vary.
If nothing else, running Digital Rebellion's Preference Manager to delete your FCP preferences may help. It is free and can be found on DR's website.
Please note that all your settings will be reset to defaults. Custom setups, scratch disk locations, etc will be discarded and you'll be back as though you just installed the software.
    Good luck.

  • How do I view JPEG photos on CD in chosen order?

After I have chosen my photos, captioned them, numbered them in their preferred order, I put them in a folder and transfer them as JPEG images to a CD using File-Share-Export. I then check the transferred contents, and they are in the preferred order. I then burn the CD, and again check the contents - still in the preferred order.
But when I try to play the CD images as a slideshow, they run through with the order jumbled.
    How do I sort this?

I believe you are talking about selecting Slideshow from the Finder contextual menu, right? I've noticed the Finder appears to pick its own order for the slides. It doesn't matter if its on a CD or on your hard drive.
I found what appears to be the answer here; http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=4209153&#4209153
It says to change to column view and the order is preserved. I tried it and it appears to work.

  • Unable to view Raw Photos in Bridge CS4

I'm using CS4 and Canon 50D with Windows 7 64Bit. I cannot view the Raw photos in the Bridge viewer. They open in Photoshop OK but just not able to view in Bridge.
    Thanks

Thanks for your suggestions - I made sure I had only one camera raw file and that the latest plu-in were installed. After reading the support sites I finally was able to get it working very simply - going to View and then Show Hidden Files; that worked!
    Thanks Again

  • After downloading photos from my camera I am now unable to view previous photo albums

Upon receiving my new iPad 3 I sne t photos from my previous PC via email to enable me to save them on the iPad. I created them into various albums and since then I have photo streamed photos from my iPhone.
then I downloaded photos from my husbands phone using connector and ever since then I can only find his downloaded photos and those photo streamed ones. I cannot find my other 4 albums and am desperate to view them again as one album is of my daughters recent wedding.
can anyone help me as I am rather a novice in using computers etc....but loving the iPad

    As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

  • Unable to view older emails using native email cli...

I would be grateful for some help.  I use my inbox to store messages until I have acted on them.  The native email client on my E55 will not keep messages older than a month.  Is there a work around or another email programme that someone can recommend to me?  This was not the case with my E71 and is certainly not the case with any other email client I run on an iPod touch or computer.  Thanks.  John

What is different about these particular emails, and what types of files can it not show?
Changing email app won't help if the emails contain attachments the iPhone itself cannot view.
