Unable to view media on WSE2012 homepage.

When using remote web access, I can access machines and shared folders just fine. I get the error below however whenever trying to access any media. I had to manually configure the router, since it didn't take with WSE2012. This happens
on both the local network and using remotewebaccess.
Any ideas?

I have the exact same issue:
- To answer the question, the only media in my Music share is in the MP3 format.
- I transferred only streamable MP4s to my video share as a test, and though the folders are indexed, none of the media within them are.
...all of this worked perfectly in WHS 2011, but not working at all in 2012 Essentials.
As an aside, when I was able to have Music streaming, instead of listing an album in Track-Number order (as one would expect by ID3-tagging), they're listed alphabetically (by ID3-tagging). I originally though that 2012 Essentials
simply took the streaming engine from WHS 2011 without modification, but that appears to not be the case; if anything, it's gotten worse.
As another test, I tried duplicating the setup I had with WHS 2011 for streaming Video from the share that's actually a separately mounted HDD mounted to D:\ServerFolders\Videos (rather than a separate drive letter) -- this setup worked just fine in WHS
2011, Both Windows itself, the RWA and media streaming treated the separate HDD as if it was a single drive (as intended). I'm reading reports about similar issues happening with using drive pooling software (aside from Storage Spaces) causing a the
same indexing error.
My current WMP dbase file (the one .\MediaAdmin$ uses to populate the RWA/LAN streaming library) is stuck at 896K, even after configuring the media library to not stream Video.
I'd still be using WHS 2011 if it supported more than 8GBs of RAM.

You need to change the defaultSiteId in /atg/multisite/DefaultSiteRuleFilter.properties to your new site id.
Also if you are using more than one sites then put their entries in
/atg/multisite/URLPatternMatchingRuleFilter.properties as follows

local.site2.com:8080=yourSite2

Unable to View .mod files in Photoshop Elements 11, can see they are there but no picture, I import them into Premiere and all OK ?

I have hundreds of .mod files which are supported but I am unable to view them on my Adobe Photoshop Elements 11. I cant see the picture icons as pictures or see the vision when i select them? I am running the latest Windows 8.1 PC with heaps of Ram and memory. If I import the files into Premiere they play fine?

I did re-set the prefs - but to no avail
I checked and my graphics driver and audio is all up to date.
No sure how to verify Windows Media Player's hardware acceleration options. I opened WMP Options /Perfformance tab and under Cd the DirX tab is checked.
Running Windows Vista - so does the same caution apply regarding a re-install of Windows Media Components and DirectX ?
Appreciate your help with this somewhat frustrating issue. I am converting some old 8mm film to avi with the hope of doing some edits then burning to DVD.

Unable to view video files in browser :[

Does anyone know why Safari is unable to view video files in the browser ??? I used to be able to view .mpg video files right in the browser and when viewing .wmv files Safari would open up Windows Media Player which would then play the file. I really dug that feature. Now when clicking on a .mpg video file, Safari simply downloads the file to my HD and that's it. Is there an easy fix for this issue ??? Hello !!! Anybody ???

Tell the QuickTime plug-in to play the file inside a browser window.
Open System Preferences/QuickTime and click the Advanced tab. Click the MIME Settings button and then put a check mark in MPEG media.
Quit and relaunch your browser for these changes to take effect.

C2-01: Error UNABLE TO FIND MEDIA CLIP

Unable to view videos online! Updated my mobile's firmware to latest version 11.10, but of no use. Whenever tried to open a video a message is displayed on screen as UNABLE TO FIND MEDIA CLIP. Although checked streaming settings, using BSNL SOUTH, contacted cust care of BSNL, but there is no use.

Try refresh/update library on your media player or restart your phone.
Do provide more info like your phone model and more info about your problem next time when you post.

NMH405 - Unable to view any files using the FIle Browser

Hello,
I logged in to the FIle Browser, hoping to delete some photos from my media hub. However, I am unable to view any music, photo, or video files on this page, nothing listed. All blank when I clicked on these 3 folders.
No problems accessing the actual files in their respective pages. I could play the music and video files, and view the photos. But I can't carry out any maintenance on them via the File Browser.
Checked the User Guide, but couldn't find any clues to this problem. Could someone please help me?

Hi there,
Files that were imported and stored on the Import Folder won't be detected on the NMH File Browser. You may only see them if you manually classify the files to it's corresponding folder.
It means, you need to move the files based on their file type. AVIs, WMV, etc. should be placed on your Videos folder .. Mp3s, Wavs, etc. should be moved to the Music folder .. Jpgs, Gifs, etc. should be moved to Pictures folder ..

First, try a simple reboot:
With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.

Unable to View Pictures in Editor

I just got back from vacation and imported my photos to iPhoto. They show up in the library but I am unable to view them in the editor. I see a dotted line square around a small exclamation point. This is the case with most of my photos, though there are a few that I can see. I also have the facebook exporter installed. When I try to export the photos I can't see iPhoto quits unexpectedly, but everything is fine for those photos I can see.
Anybody know what's up?

It is strongly advised that you do not move, change or in anyway alter things in the iPhoto Library Folder as this can cause the application to fail and even lead to data loss.
There are no user serviceable parts in the iPhoto Library. Any time you access that Library using the Finder or any other app you risk damaging it. The entire point of iPhoto is that you do all your work in the iPhoto Window.
For instance: Events in the iPhoto Window correspond exactly with the Folders in the Originals Folder in the iPhoto Library package file (Right click on it in the Pictures Folder -> Show Package Contents).
You can move photos between Events, you can rename Events, edit them, create them, as long as you do it via the iPhoto Window. Check out the Info Pane (wee 'i', lower left) the name and date fields are editable. Edit a Event Name using the Info Pane, the Event Folder in iPhoto Library/Originals will also have the new name.
Really, your options now are to restore from your back up or re-create the library from scratch.
To create and populate a new library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.
fyi There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:
For 10.5 users: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Apple-Click for selecting multiple pics.

To upload to a site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. If you're using Gmail you can use THIS
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto. With 10.5 you can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:

If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
Or, if you want to access the files with iPhoto not running, then create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use THIS
Other options include:
1. *Drag and Drop*: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

It may not be your computer telling you this, it is probably the company providing the shows to you over the Internet. If that is the case, no setting on your computer can change it because the media company is going by your network address (IP address), which is where your Internet modem (cable or DSL) connects to the outside Internet. If the location of your Internet connection appears to be outside the US (even if it is mistake), media companies that distribute shows under contracts with geographical restrictions may lock you out.
If you use a service like a VPN service, you may have the ability to use IP addresses from other countries so that you can appear to be connecting from there. But it takes some setting up.

Blackberry Torch - Unable to view on PC as a portable device

It syncs fine, with the exception of media sync, but the BB, when I connect it to the PC cannot view contents of BB nor can I sync media? Any thoughts? Would the syncing of media files and being unable to view the device on my PC, be a related issue?

Unable to view live webcast

Help I bought my first Mac because I was told once I had one I would never go back.
Well, it has been 7 days and I am on the fence and have 7 more days to return it. I am hoping someone can help me. I have a problem that could be the deal breaker for me. I purchase/sell jewelry part-time. I am unable to view a live webcast at (http://www.dsntv.com/live.htm). I have tried everything, I have the latest WMedia player for MAC, downloaded F4MAC & plug in for Leopard. I even contacted F4MAC support and was told:
"I was able to recreate the problem you had with this website. Unfortunately, some websites are scripted in such a way that only PC users, who have Windows Media 9 loaded, can play their video streams."
I have read some posts that say to download perian and some that say I need a codec. Can anyone tell me if they can view the webcast from their MAC and if so, what I should download. I don't want to keep downloading different things and none of them work. If there is nothing out there, just please let me know.

I think you will find that what the message says is true, You can watch it on TV but there is a lot of content that media providers are not allowed to show not only sport. As BT took over ESPN I expect the contract has been in place for a few years and there's nothing BT can do about it.
Sky are in the same boat, They can't show the Simpsons, certain films on the SyFy channel, they also can't show early games from golf in USA on the mobile platform but you can watch them on their sports xtra channel on a pc/laptop. Some new films are the same.
So this is not BT's fault.
sky twitter account a customer ask why sky go streams are worst then sd and yet bt and eurosports apps stream in hd. Reply from mod, oh thats easy the files for hd are some huge that sky go can't play them and no app can stream hd due to this and so when they say they are they're really sd streams, if there was any way around this we would have done it now.

HP encrypted drive :Unable to unlock media

I have encountered a problem which caused me unable to access my laptop.
When i start my pc yesterday, after key-in my password at WinMagic screen(which is the screen before Windows start), then a pop-up shows "Unable to unlock media, please re-try after the computer restart"
So i did, but the outcome are the same with same pop-up message.
I tried searching on google and found one relevant case saying that i will have to leave my lappy for 4 days, 2 for the drive itself to encrypt and 2 for itself to decrypt.
Other case says that only HP recovery can help to restore my access yo Windows.
I do not have recovery file and that i do not want to lose all my data, please advise me what to do to resolve this issue.

I logged a support ticket about this issue. This is what i got back after a couple of weeks. I never went thourgh the whole thing as the user i had the issue with just backed all there data up and we whiped the drive and reinstalled. But see the below. The username and password probably dont work anymore but you can atleast use the below to get hp to help out. Sorry i dont have the file anymore from that ftp either. There are alot of images that go with the below as well but i just copyed the text. Unable to View Data in the table of a CDC enabled Data Store.

I am trying to import some tables from the external metadata from my CDC enabled datastore, but after importing the tables i m unable to view the data in the table,
where as the same table in a normal datastore (Without CDC) is showing data in the Desginer.
Can anyone help me out???
is there any settings which we need to do, to see the data in a CDC enabled DS.

Unable to view streaming video

I could view a streaming video using following address rtsp://138.133.71.2:554/file/ when using Quicktime 6. However, I have upgraded to Quicktime 7 Pro and I am now unable to view the streamed video. I am using Windows 2000 on a PC and streaming the video from a camera through a DSP Board to the PC. (The PC is not connect to the Internet)

Download the Flash Player Uninstaller and Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers) by right clicking and selecting "Save Link as".
Close Firefox.
Run the uninstaller.
Run the installer to replace the plugin.
Open Firefox and click Tools>Add-ons.
Check under Plugins that Flash Player is "always activated".
If it still won't load, check your other plugins. There may be an ad blocker that's preventing it.
