Unable to view OLAP data in AWM

AWM Version : 10.1.0.4
Database Ver : 10.1.0.4
I have created a AW using AWM and created dims, cube and measures. I have loaded data into all dims using AWM and was able to view the data. However, after loading the cube, and when I use view data from AWM, I get no data, no message even after 20 minutes. I infact truncated the workspace and recreated the workspace. No use.
Any ideas where and what could be problem ?
The cube load went fine. I verified it from the table olapsys.xml_load_log table. I have couple of records rejected but that shouldn't cause this problem I think.
I tried to view the data from excel and have similar problem. I was able to select the measures I want to display and after that it just hangs there.
I would like to know if anyone has similar problem and what you have done to fix it.

Since you are using BI 7 for the first time., I hope you have executed the DTP after executing the infopackage.
In BW 3.5 we can load date from data source to Infoobject via PSA in one shot.
But In BI 7, we have to execute the infopackage first . This loads data from Datasource to PSA. Then you need to execute the DTP. Just double click on the DTP. You can see the execute in the third tab. When you execute the DTP, data will be further loaded from PSA to Infoobject.

Unable to view locked data in Data Forms

Hi,
Does anyone know why we are not able to view locked data (it just shows empty orange cells) in Data Entry Forms? We added a column to the Data Form with the prior quarter information. This is just for information purposes and not for entering data, so the users see in one single form what they entered in the prior quarter. Unfortunately the cells do not show any data when the prior quarter is locked.

Unable to view schema objects in awm

Hello,
I am using an oracle 10g database (10.2.0.1.0).
I have a schema with that roles : conect, resource, olap_user, olap_dba.
I have created dimensions, indicators, etc.. in that schema with enterprise mgr console.
I have created a worspace for that schema with awm (10.2.0.2.0A).
=> I can't manage to view the objects (dimensions,...) of my schema with awm.
And when I try to create a dimension with the same name than existing one in my schema, awm show this message "Dimension already exists".
Someone can help me ?

Unable to view Citadel data, even though it is there.

I cannot view the traces with any method other that exporting them. Historical and Real-time trends give an error: Error 1. Invalid Data Type to Trend. The traces don't graph in MAX, but I don't get an error. I recently upgraded to version 8.2.1. This is an XP system. I detached and reattached the database. I registered the computer with the database. I can't think of what else to do. Help!

While there is no way to actually bind the level of your alarm to a shared variable, you can change the level programatically.
The first way to do so would be to create a value change event on the variable that is storing the alarm levels. When this event occurs, you can then write the alarm level into a property node that references the variable that the alarm is enabled on. Thus the alarm level will change whenever the level variable is changed.
The second way would be to compare the two shared variables and set a user alarm instead of an alarm on the variable itself. I hope this helps.

It is clearly a database bug. It could be related to
Bug 7329946 - ORA-600 [XSCBTEST] WHEN TRYING TO VIEW CUBE DATA WITH AWM DATA VIEWER
The AWM data viewer uses the BI Beans code, so it is probably the same thing. It is related to
Bug 8719947 - CC CRASHES WHEN THERE IS NEGATIVE VALUES IN CCINCR TUPLES
My advice is to raise a service request so that you can supply proper trace file information and can get a patch for your specific platform.

Unable to view Data Analysis in Project Server 2007

Hi,
I am currently using Project server 2007. One of our PM is not able to view Data Analysis information which are available to other PM.
It says 'The query cannot be processed. Either the user doesn't have access to Analysis service Database or the database doesn't exist"
We checked the following.
Tools >
Internet options > Security tab > Click Trusted Sites >
Custom Level > Search for Access data source across domains and its enabled.

You should also check that the PM in question has not been granted specific permission. If he doesn't have the "View OLAP Data" and "View Data Analysis" permissions, he will not be able to use the data analysis. Also check
that the PWA URL is in the trusted site of IE. Finally press CTRL F5 to clean IE cache. Check also that the OLAP cubes were successfully built.
A good way for you to debug is to use your admin account on his machine to see if it is a permission issue or a IE setting issue.

Unable to View Data in the table of a CDC enabled Data Store.

I am trying to import some tables from the external metadata from my CDC enabled datastore, but after importing the tables i m unable to view the data in the table,
where as the same table in a normal datastore (Without CDC) is showing data in the Desginer.
Can anyone help me out???

Unable to View Data in using Adobe Reader (9)

We are facing an issue in one of the scenario when we generate the pdf where the data needs to displayed month-wise in columns and months are more than 15 months then the report generates successfully but we are unable to view the data even though the data is available and we are able to select/copy the data using the select tool.By default the report is opening at 5.85%. But When we generate the report for the lesser number of months say (9) then we can view the data.

You can chage your default context from Global to ABCD , whatsever name.
Goto File menu ---> User parameters -->Default Context for Designer
Specify whatever value you want .

Unable to view data in the InfoCube as well as in the query

Hi all,
I have done the Init Load into an InfoCube 0Pur_c01. The Monitoring status is Green. I checked the Qm status which is green. There is data in the PSA.
However, I am unable to view data in the InfoCube. Also when I execute the report I am receiving 'Application Data not found'error.
It looks to be a strange sitaution.

Unable to view enhanced field in Data Source

Hi All,
We recently upgraded our R/3 system from 4.7 to ECC 6.0. Now when we are enhancing the data source, the field is visible in the Extract Structure. But we are unable to view it in the data source. We checked out in RSA2 the enhanced field attribute is specified as 'Field in OLTP and BW Hidden by SAP'. We have written code to modifiy the ROOSFIELD table to make the enahnced field visible. But this is the problem with all the data sources. Whenever, we have to enahnce, we have to go thru this process to make the enhanced field visible.
Is it like that we missied out any patch in ECC 6.0 while upgrade? If any person faced similar situation, please help us.

Hi Ravi,
I think you are missing a step here. As soon as you enhance your datasource with new fields, by default, those 2 check boxes are checked ( Hidden and Field in User exit only). You go to RSA6, edit your datasource and here, you can uncheck these added fields so that you can use them. You do not need to write any code to change the fields settings in ROOSFIELD table. Do the step I mentioned above after enhancing and you should be good. Hope it helps.

No data in AWM Data Viewer

Hi all,
I am using Oracle 10G AWM for reporting purpose. I have created all required dimensions, measures. But when i view the data after maintaining it, it won't show any data but a blank Data Viewer. When I do view data for the respective dimensions, it shows me data as meant to. Could you please suggest what could be the reason for this?
I am on 10gR2, AWM 10.2.0.2.0A.

Hi,
Have you checked the log for the build and verified that all your rows have been loaded?
If you maintain the cube in the AWM session this log should appear at the end of maintenance job. If you submit it to the oracle queue you should check out the xml_load_log table in the olapsys schema for the same log.
It might be that all your fact rows are rejected due to the fact that it can't find a reference to one or more dimensions.

the whole login path is : "Employee Self-Service 4.0" ===> "Leave of Absence "

Unable to view data in physical later from a view

Hi ALL,
WHile viewing the data from view in physical later i am getting the following error:
Oracle error code : 936, ORA-00936 missing expression.
SQL statement preparation failed.
I tried enabling the option for require fully qualified table names but still the same error.
Also update view count works fine but error is given only on view dta
Version:
OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1
Oracle 10.2.0.1.0
32 bit windows version
Any suggestions what i am missing here.

Hi,
You try to build the rpd with the view and pull the view in answers and check the results. In the physical layer, you might have the logic for getting the view and you need to check its results in answer.
The table which you are using in the view, check for the data in that table in the physical layer. If thats producing results then you should not have trouble in answer.
Or you need to deploy the view.
