Unable to view "Properties" for Spartan launch icon.

Build 10049 ... minor nit ... glitch
When I right-click on the pinned Spartan Quick Launch icon, I seen the normal three choices:
Project Spartan
Unpin this program
Close this window.
However, when I right-click on the top choice (Project Spartan), the expected "Properties" doesn't appear, but only the "Unpin" and "Open". That is different from pretty much every other shortcut I have experience with. On my
10049 Build, 21 of 22 Quick Launch icons can display "Properties" .... Spartan being the lone exception.
As Expected?
I was able to create Desktop icons for Spartan.exe with the "New Shortcut" mechanism, and also the "Drag from File Explorer to the Desktop". For those shortcuts, Properties was easily available.
More oddness: None of the files Spartan.exe or Spartan*.exe would actually start Spartan. When I did try to launch Spartan_broker.exe, I got an error message about "Cannot verify digital signature".
And more oddness ... when I clicked the "Submit" button for the above edit, Spartan crashed, with a new entry in the "Event Viewer". Fortunately, the contents weren't lost. Whew.

I have the same result as your in my Windows 10 Technical preview, this is the default design for Spartan, and seems this design remains in the latest 10061, please submit a feedback in Spartan about this.

Express Vi "Unable to view properties"

I'm trying to create an express vi, but when I go to drop it on a block diagram I get the error: "Unable to view properties". I've seen the online document

Rebooting does nothing, and I've tried the vi on multiple machines, so it isn't something wrong with a particular installation or vi.lib. I've looked through the vi hierarchy and didn't see any vi's that might have conflicting names as anything in the vi.lib\express\express shared folder.

Interesting. It was not what I expected.
In editing your Config Page VI, it looks like you (probably accidentally) deleted an indicator that came with it. There's nothing special about it other than its type, direction, name, and connector pane connection though, so it should be easy enough to fix. It is required for the config page to launch, however.
On the main config page VI, do the following:
Scroll down a bit to part that won't be visible to the user.
Drop a new boolean indicator, I'd suggest a Round LED.
Name this indicator "Data Valid".
Connect the boolean wire coming out of your main event loop (indicates the OK button was pressed) to your "Data Valid" indicator.
On the front panel, right-click the icon in the upper-right and "Show Connector".
Connect your "Data Valid" boolean to the unwired terminal.
Save the VI.
That should get you up and going, good luck!

"Unable to view properties" Does someone knows how to fix it ?

I am student, and during my internship I have to learn and use Labview.
I work on a Macbook (mac os X snow leopard 10.6.2).
I downloaded and install the latest version of Labview, in evaluation mode. At the beginning, everything worked very well, no problems and one day (I don't know why it happens ...) I experienced this trouble.
When I create a new blank VI, on the block diagram, right click, Express< Signal Analysis < Tone measurement,
So I put this one on the block diagram, and I get this error : "Unable to view properties".
When I try to open properties window (by double clicking on it), it's the same error.
And I get the same errors for all Express modules (except "Simulate signal" and "Create histogram") but only for the express modules.

Yeah, I found any information in the Read Me document about uninstalling. But I found this on the web :
"To uninstall LabVIEW 2009, run the Uninstall.sh shell script file on the installation CD from a Terminal shell. The script prompts you to remove the files necessary to uninstall LabVIEW. If you want to keep any files you modified or added to the LabVIEW 2009 directory, save those files in another location before uninstalling LabVIEW 2009."

The problems is that I have not the uninstall.sh file on the evaluation cd (I've done a research within it). I guess it's because it's a evaluation version...
I will ask my university to get their DVD, I have already their license number.
If someone who have a mac version can send me this file, it will be fix my problem.

Unable to view columns for attribute views created

Hi all,
Here are the list of errors I am facing while creating attribute views and while adding multiple dimensions (Product dim and Employee dim) to an attribute view.
I am unable to activate my attribute view. I don’t get any error message other than:
Message : STS.STS_ATTRIBUTE_VIEW: one or more columns of Table: DIMSUPPLIER have invalid ABAP name
2. When I added DIM.Product attribute to the attribute view STS_ATTRIBUTE_VIEW, I am unable to see any column names for the DIM.Product to add them to output fields. Same with employee dimension also. Now my question is, Can I add more than one dimension to the same attribute view or do I have to create a new attribute view for every dimension. While I think I can add more dimensions to the same attribute view but I asked this question because I am unable to see any columns listed out in the dimensins Product and Employee.
3. In Employee dimension when I click on the data preview, I don’t get any data. Its all blank. But there is data in the table and its visible when I preview in table.
4. When I right click on the attribute view or the attribute itself I don't see any other options other than "Configure Table" but I remember 2 days back when I worked I was able to see other options like "Data Preview" and few others.
Why am I unable to view the columns of the Product and Employee dimensions? Should there be a common primary key between all the dimensions to be able to view the data in the attribute view?
Please note that my attribute view is still in grey inspite of hitting on save and validate and save and activate several times. And I am getting a warning message, "Some services are not started" on my hdbsystem and the system is showing yellow colour.
Please advise.

Unable to view error for website created on iWeb

We have hosted a website created on iWeb. When we access the site we often get the following error message. We contacted the hosting company, but they asked us to make the changes on the web pages as suggested in this error message in order to be able to view the actual error. Only then will they be able to help us out. Can someone help us incorporate these changes in our web pages.

In my first posting (just below my name) I've quoted the entire content of the error message that pops up. But it only pops on certain occasions, it doesn't happen every time. The other curious fact is that this message does not give you the actual error. It only tells you to make certain changes in your script so that you can view the error remotely. Therefore, until we are able to make these changes in the script or html code for the web page, we won't be able to know the actual error. When I tried to view the code or script of my web page, I didn't find a place where I could make these changes. Can you help me in this respect?
BTW I was trying to study the pattern of these error messages and I think I've found a correlation. However, I'm not sure if that could be a valid reason. It seems like every time I update my website, people get these error messages until about 3-6 hours after each of these updates. Once a reasonable time has elapsed after the update, the site seems to be working fine. Could it be due to a conflict between the older & newer versions of the web page being simultaneously resident on the site for a while after the update. Or could it be due to the change in the index file? Pl comment.

I created a property named 'Status' of localnode with 'Defined' property type. I added this to Essbase Property category. I was unable to view this property in DRM UI. Where as I can view this property in DRM database. Anyone can help me on this?

Unable to view options for importing photos in PSE 9?

Recently I downloaded the PSE 9 program from a disk onto my new computer. When I opened it to use I
am unable to find under "Organize" the "File", "Edit", "Find", "View", "Window" and "Help"
on the upper bar/area. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program but still do not see those
options. I'm just begining to learn about PSE 9, so am new to all this.
What am I missing or not doing exactly right that I'm have dificulty trying to view and use the above?
Any suggestions or directions will be appreciated so I can start to use the program with
photos download on my computer, camera or external hard drive.

Store Control Properties for subsequent launches of program

I have a cluster of buttons. Each button event causes a test to run. I color code the buttons that have been tested pass(green)/fail(red). The problem is that I want to store the progress even after the program is shut down. Maybe I could store the button control property COLOR[4] inside XML for use when I run the program at a later time. How can I do this?

Just a suggestion if you use the LabVIEW installer. Writing to the application directory (Program Files) requires Admin permission in Win7. I don't like creating applications that require this.
Keeping this in mind, I go with two options
Write to an INI file in the user's data directory
Write to the Registry in HKEY_CURRENT_USER (I know, I know, the registry scares a lot of people)
Personally, if the user doesn't need to edit it, I go with the registry. It's what nearly all commercial programs do. It also allows a per-user experience.
I'll toss in my current VI's with two caveats.
Make sure you clear the errors on read. If the value doesn't exist, it will error (i.e. on a new install). If the conversion doesn't work, it will error. Users typically don't need to see an error for something as simple as defaults.
Use with a small bit of caution. If the label or application name keep changing, it will keep creating new registry entries. I would only toss this in when your design is stable
(P.S. I know these only do value. I just wanted to give an example. You'll have to adapt slightly to your color requirements)

Suddenly unable to view project for no apparent reason.

I've been working on a short documentary. Everything has been going along swimmingly. I left the project to partipate in a conference call. When I came back, and press play to see where I had left off, the picture (edits, dissolves, graphics, etc) is unavailable...just black. I can hear the audio perfectly well.
I have tried restarting, reverting, and restoring. Nothing has helped. Perhaps there's a switch flipped by accident. Any ideas? It must be something basic. Right?

Phew! Sorry about the flurry of activity (all by me). It turns out that I needed to select image under the canvas window where the button allows one to choose between: image, image and wireframe, or wireframe. I'm not sure how, but this was set to something else. Created quite a panic.

Unable to view microsoft office files (2011) with quick view and cover flow

I am unable to view office for mac 2011 files in quick view or cover flow. All I see is the generic icon and not the preview. I've searched a number of forums but haven't found a solution.

Yea, I did do a Time Machine restore not too long ago. Perhaps that was the cause. In any case, I went by the apple store day before yesterday to see if they could help me (I use quick look a lot!), and the tech's opinion was the my whole system was running slow and buggy, so he suggested to go ahead and spend the time doing a clean install of the OS. I did this yesterday... quick look for office docs is back, and my system is soooooo much faster and problem free now. Looking back, the ability of OS X to reinstall without erasing the boot disc is a blessing and curse. I upgraded instead of cleanly reinstalling when I got Snow Leopord, and recently did a time machine restore when I was having some problems. With windows, I was doing a clean reinstall at least once a year. Perhaps doing it once every two years or so is a good idea for mac. The biggest headache is importing all my old mailboxes into mail, and sorting through the duplicates that get created.

I have re-installed many times NI LabView8.2(EV) + DAQmx8.3 on all
in one SOC platform(X86) with WinXP(SP3) step by step, but all

Then I re-install pure WinXP(SP3) + LabView8.2(EV) + DAQmx8.9,
rebooting ok.
LabView simulated VI from template works well, however I got error

After google the related issue of "Instrument I/O Assistant error".
I check the "Add/Remove S/W List" and "System Services" of window,
everything seems ok.

Is the issue with XML/PDF concurrent requests or with all requests?
Can you find any errors in Apache/Database log files?
Is the application listener up and running? Can you find any errors in the listener log file?
Have you tried to run AutoConfig and bounce the services and see if this helps?
