Unable to view saved passwords in Safari. Again.

Unable to view saved passwords because I whenever I check the box to “view password” it immediately reverts the box back to being “unchecked”. Thus, I’m unable to view any or all passwords saved within Safari on my MBP (mid-2012) running 10.9.5. Also, auto-fill of passwords isn’t working at all.
This has been an ongoing problem for quite some now. I’ve fixed it somehow before but I can’t recall what it was that I did.
Any help?
Thank you.

  • Unable to view this webcam in Safari

    Hi ,
Does anyone know why I am unable to view this webcam in Safari?
    http://www.cam1.carvoeiro.com/
It appears fine in Firefox & IE but I only really want one browser on my computer.
Many thanks for any help on this on,
    Dave

I've just posted a message on the Webcam's own forum, asking if any mac users out there can see the webcam. I've just had a reply from a Powerbook G4 user using Safari that say's he can see it perfectly.
It must be some setting on my Mac (although I have tried it under another users name with no luck also) can anyone else out there see it?

  • Cannot delete saved passwords in Safari on Yosemite

I am unable to remove any passwords from Safari (from the Passwords tab in Preferences). This is on Yosemite.
I have tried the solution outlined here: Yosemite Safari won't let me delete/change passwords, but it appears to make no difference.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Might be easier to find the passwords stored in Keychain Access located in /Applications/Utilities
Launch Keychain Access then select passwords on the left
Type in the name of a website you need the password for in the search field top right corner of that window.
Then right or control click that keychain then select the Attributes tab.
    Click:  Show password
(You may be prompted for your admin password)

  • Can't delete my saved passwords from Safari 5.1 on Snow Leopard 10.6.8

When the bugs in 1Password initially disabled that application on Safari 5.1 I started saving manually entered passwords on Safari while 1Password was being fixed. Now that 1Password is working I want to remove the saved passwords on Safari as a secirity precaution.  But they won't delete; not individually, not as a group. When I click Remove All the passwords all turn blue as if about to be deleted en mass but don't disappear. Trying it by highlighting one and clicking Remove doesn;t work either.  Any suggestions?

You are much better off using the Mac OS X app Keychain Access which is pre installed on your Mac instead of a third party password manager.
This link shows the results of a Safari / 1Password forum search which reveals all the problems 1Password causes for Safari.

Your passwords are not stored in Safari per se, they are stored in Keychain Access.  /Applicatiions/Utilities. Trying to use both is causing a conflict.

Hello, have a problem with Safari. I can't remove saved passwords of websites.
    My steps:

    - I write 4-digit code

  • Is there a way to use a Master Password only to view Saved Passwords, without having to type it in every session?

If anyone ever uses my computer, they can easily see my Saved Passwords. I want to be able to secure them. The only way to do that is by setting a Master Password, which is great, but I don't really want to have to type it in every time I open up my web browser.
I couldn't seem to find this anywhere in any searches. Is there an Add-on or tweak that can set a Master Password only to protect my Saved Passwords?

Thanks, Matt. In my case, the monitor definitely shuts off when I unplug the power from my laptop in clamshell mode. If the lid is open, however, the monitor continues to function even without the power adapter plugged into my laptop. Ideally, I'd like to have the lid closed on my laptop and be able to use the external monitor without having the power plugged into my laptop. That's what doesn't seem to work - if your does, please let me know if you have any pointers.
    Thanks again!

  • How to see the saved password in safari of iPad 3 ?

PLease help me how can I see the saved password in iPad 3 safari.

You can't, for obvious reasons (think of spying for another person's sensitive data). All you can do is deleting them.

  • Unable to view saved queries in Favourites

    Hi Experts,
We have few users using Bex. They can successfully save queries in Favourites, however when they are trying to open the queries saved in Favourites, they are unable to see anything. That is they are unable to view their saved queries under Favourites.
From Backend perspective they have SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW. Please suggest what might be the issue here?
    Thanks
    Deb

    Hi,
Thanks for your inputs, No issues found in the Gateway Logging.
The SAP Note 1031850 doesn't seem to be relevant here as we are on SAP_BW component version 701 and the note talks about components 700 and 710.
I don't know whether I am able to explain the issue properly; Users are able to save queries in their Favourite Folder by putting an XYZ technical name to it. However after coming back to the Analyser, they are unable to view any saved queries in their Favourite Folder. Interestingly this is happening in the QA environment while in Dev everything is fine.
    Thanks,
    Deb

  • Unable to view PDFs from the Safari browser.

I am using Safari 5.1 and Adobe Reader 10.1.0, running on OS 10.6.8.  Until recently I had no problem but am now unable to view PDFs from websites.  What I get is a totally black document.  I can create PDF files which I can also open outside of the internet.  Any ideas??

There seems to be an issue with Adobes plugin and Safari 5, your options are:
Wait for it to be updated.
Uninstall the plugin nd let Quicktime handle it.
Install Schuberts PDF plugin from http://www.schubert-it.com/pluginpdf/

  • Saved Password For Safari in iOS Setting isn't Hash and it is showing the password

    Hi,
I'm Using apple iphone 6 plus and the most iportant things for me is Security
in setting>safari>Passwords & AutoFill>Saved Passwords all off the password shows to who was work with the iphone with device password but it must be show as hash to everyone who use this device.

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store alert. For example, if the App Store says you need to update "Twitter," the hacked app may be "Angry Birds" or something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you have to carry out a systematic search.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:
    kMDItemAppStoreHasReceipt=1
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
In the Finder, press command-F to open a search window, or select
    File ▹ Find
from the menu bar. In the search window, select
    Search: This Mac
from the row of tokens below the toolbar. Below that is a popup menu initially showing Kind. From that menu, select  Other...
A sheet will drop down. In that sheet, select Raw Query and click OK or press return.
Now there will be a text box to the right of popup menu. Click in that box and paste (command-V).
The search window will show all the App Store products you've installed. Compare those search results with the list of your purchases from the App Store. To see the complete list, you may need to unhide hidden purchases. If any apps were download from the App Store using other Apple ID accounts that you control, sign in to the store under each of those ID's and check the purchases.
At least one of the items listed in the search window is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
Log out and log back in. Test.
