Unable to view stations via Multipoint Dashboard

I am running Multipoint Server 2012 Premium on a teacher's station and I'm running Windows 8 Enterprise x64 on the student stations. I installed Multipoint Connector on each station then added the stations to the "managed personal computers"
list via Multipoint Manager. I do have my user account added to the WMS Operators group on the teacher's station. The teacher's station is also set to run in console mode. When trying to view any desktop it only shows a generic picture of
a person with a set of keys next to it. I've added the product key and a server CAL. Each computer in the classroom is on our domain. I've set up 4 computer labs using Multipoint 2012 Premium but I've never used connector before. All
of our labs work without a problem but I just can't seem to get connector to work properly. Here's a picture of what I see when I click on a station in dashboard.

Have you made sure to allow any and all Multipoint protocols through the firewall of both your teacher machine and the classroom machines? I havent' used the Connector very much other than an early test just to play with it, but with "normal" Multipoint
machines I believe there are 3 Multipoint protocols that need to be allowed through the firewall. It's possible that rules were already created for them but only "Private" and "Public" are checked, and not "Domain", given that you're working in a Domain
environment.
We have Windows firewall turned off on all of our lab computers.

Unable to view multi-layered shockwave dashboard in IE & pdf for 4.5

Hi All,
I have created a mutli-layered dashboard, 3 files in total, 2 being called into the main swf as image components using a label based menu(note: I did not check the embed box in the image component properties for either), although the preview in 4.5 works and both .swfs are loaded in Xcelsius; when exported to IE or pdf, this will load only once, the next time i get an empty image component when either menu option is selected. Is this an ActiveX/flashplayer issue? I'm running flashplayer 10+ and IE7.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Tim, Please advice on this ASAP.. This issue is preventing us from using XML Publisher in our instances..
When we click on View output with PDF as output format, then a broswer tries to open up and it gets errored out..
When we click on View output with RTF as output format, then a Oracle Apps window open up with Junk characters. Tool -> Copy file gives an error

Please advice a solution for the same.

Unable to view any chart in OBIEE

i've installed OBIEE. I'm unable to view any chart in Dashboard. I see any other type of table (pivot, compound) but when i create a chart i see the red cross in the top left corner. It's possible i need a specific JVM?

Sorry, don't know what else to suggest unless there's a URL to the problem stream that someone here can try. Otherwise we can't test it to try and determine what might be wrong.
BTW, make sure they're testing it with a Mac, not with a Windows system. If they test only with Windows, what they say is or is not working doesn't mean much.

I have lots of .MOV files on my iPhone5 that I need to transfer to my PC. Using QuickTime Player 7.7.4 I am unable to view them once they have been copied to a hard drive or directly from the iPhone via USB. 1% of the time a vid is viewable

I can tranfer them to a hard drive on my PC, but am unable to view most of them using QuickTime Player 7.7.4. Doesn't matter if I'm viewing them via a USB connection to my iPhone5 or from a hard drive after the file has been copied via USB. 1% of the vids are viewable, 20% open with a black screen and audio only. The rest open with a blue, purple and green stryrated mess and no audio. Yes its a Quick Time problem I know but where do I post this question in the community? Also searching my drives for other .MOV files downloaded from the net I find the same problem with them.

Heres what I don't like about VLC, but at least the files are viewable...somewhat.
1. You can't flip the image 90degrees, needs to have a rotate feature for sure. This needs to have keyboard shortcut so vids can be rotated easily as one may have shot video horizontally and vertically in the same take.
2. Opens file to a very large window, most of it off the screen, it should REMEMBER what you resized it to, so the next time a video is played you don't have to drag the window back on the screen so you can get to the resizing handle in the lower corner.
3. Doesn't buffer while playing, so the movies are extremely erractic, starting and stopping every 3 seconds, highly annoying.
OK so maybe my PC is too slow, its a dual processor 486 Hyperrthread 2.8G but I only have 2Gigs of memory, however, bettery than 50% of the memory is still available while playing a vid (memory is checked every 4 seconds with a program), but I have 90-100% CPU useage going on while playing.
Maybe I should think about a new computer.

Unable to view photos received via e-mail or texting

Hi,
I have been unable to view photos that I received via a text message. I do receive the yellow bubble alert telling me to download. After I hit the download button, it just hangs. I also attempted to send myself a photo from my work email address by mailing to [email protected] Again, I received the notification to download the photo and after hitting the download button--nothing! Am I doing something incorrectly? A setting to be made perhaps? FYI, I am running the latest update for the Charge.

Unable to view BIPub report in the Dashboard by Non Administrator users

I have created a BI Publisher report and added the same to the Dashboard, I can view it as the Administrator user but unable to view it as any other Users.
I updated the privileges in the BI Presentation services and gave permission to Everyone for BI Publisher:
Oracle BI Publisher Enterprise
Add BI Publisher Reports to Dashboard - Everyone
View BI Publisher Reports - Everyone
Schedule BI Publisher Reports - Everyone
Send BI Publisher Reports - Everyone
Build BI Publisher Reports - Everyone
Analyze BI Publisher Reports - Everyone
but users still get the below error:
The error message is :
"Unauthorized Access: Please contact Administrator"
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply, I did add and it worked successfully; but the issue now is that I had assigned the XMLP_ADMIN, XMLP_DEVELOPER roles to this user and he now has XMLP Administration rights. Which is not very good.
Is there any workaround to restrict XMLP Administration to this user and allow him just to view the BI Pub Report?

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
You might also try signing out of itunes and back in (Settings App > itunes & App Store)

I have tried deleting all cookies and cache several times, but nothing works. I can open Google calendar but when I click on any entry I just get a blank box. If I try to make a new event entry nothing happens. Everything works fine in Internet Explorer.
I am really getting tired of constant problems with Firefox. Every week I have something that doesn't work. One time it's downloading videos, the next week music or email, now Google calendar. I am about ready to give up Firefox forever.

Ensure that you have adobe flash player plugin installed and you Java Host service which comes when you install OBIEE is up and running. Thhis is the service mainly for rendering charts and graphical things in obiee. Hope ths helps

Open your QuickTime control panel (either via the Control panels, or by going "Edit > Preferences > QuickTime Preferences" in the Quicktime Player). In the Advanced tab, uncheck Enable Direct3D video acceleration:
... and click OK. Quit and restart the QuickTime Player prior to checking to see if the settings change has had any effect.

Unable to view pdf created in Live Cycle Designer ES2. I initially thought this was a user / OS issue when I created a document for someone who is new to a MAC laptop. She could not view the document through email. Unfortunately, I began seeing the same error in my own document folders when searching for another document showing as icons instead of a list. I can open the file without a problem although I see the error she sees only while viewing the icons in my folder. I am using a Windows 7 PC. Now, I also know that if the document is downloaded, it can be viewed.
Other notes:
If trying to access the form via the internet, the same error is seen through Chrome, Firefox, and Mozilla but NOT through IE
Everyone seems to have the latest or a very recent READER
The form is compatible with Reader versions 7 and up
Again, downloading from the internet to the computer appears to allow the file to open properly
Document cannot be viewed on the Galaxy Tab 2 via Chrome or the pre-installed Internet Browser, nor can it be viewed through the Reader after download to tablet. I did not try on an Apple iPad.
All parties involved are up-to-date with virus protection.

You're on to something KJ! Yes the form was created in LiveCycle Designer ES2 which came bundled with my Adobe X Pro. I began creating a new form yesterday and found that I could not preview the form, rendering this same "error" instead. I ran a repair on my Adobe and at first it seemed to fix the issue but after making some changes to the form I tried to preview again and couldn't. Here is what I get when I try to preview my forms in Designer ES2:
When I click the OK button, it then gives me that single static page as mentioned above in previous posts.
I searched Adobe yesterday trying to figure out how I could repair the LiveCycle Designer or if there was some sort of patch that I haven't gotten but was not able to find anything.
(Sorry for the delay in response, I've been on vacation.)

I have PDF files in application server and trying to display the PDF files by using class CL_GUI_PDFVIEWER->open_document but i am unable to view the pdf files.
Please let us know any other alternative way to view the PDF files via application server.

steps tu visualize PDF files from app server via html_viewer:
1. Upload PDF file to table type x255. (using for ecampo FM SCMS_UPLOAD)
2. Create container (TYPE REF TO cl_gui_custom_container),
    create html_viewer (TYPE REF TO cl_gui_html_viewer).
3. Load data from ypur xsting table to url:
CALL METHOD html_viewer->load_data
    EXPORTING
      TYPE                = 'application'
      SUBTYPE           = 'pdf'
     IMPORTING
       assigned_url     = url
    CHANGING
      data_table          = data_pdf. "line type x255
4. Show data from url:
CALL METHOD html_viewer->show_data
    EXPORTING
      url                    = url.

Sorry, this is a user to user forum and we're just customers who help out when we can, so things don't always happen right away.
Reader, Regardless of OS or device, is as the name implies, only a Reader. There are different mail settings between Mac Mail Outlook and Thunderbird as well as Andsroid's mail app, whose name escpoaes me.
Have you checked in the Live Cycle Forum? There are people there with FAR more experience using LC developed forms. It's part of my Creative Suite, but I've never even opened it myself.
