Unable to view tables in Oracle BI Answers
Hi,
I am able to view my subject area in Oracle BI Answers, but the tables aren't displaying. Also the tabs arent functioning. I was able to view the data in my repository and there is no error. What might be the problem for this?
We uninstalled obiee and installed it again. Do i need to configure anything?
Ideas please!
Thanks,
Princy
Hi,
Thanks for your replies. My repository has all the layers completely. I have also placed the folders in correct path. Still the same problem exists. For "samplesales' too the subject area was displaying in Oracle BI Answers, but the menus aren't working. Whether i need to install it once again or am i going wrong elsewhere...
Help please!
Thanks,
Princy

Unable to view table list in sql developer
I am able to connect to the database through sql developer but unable to view tables list.
Select query is displaying the contents though.
Any Help ???Using SQL Developer, I log in using the owner user id and password. I can see all but one of my materialized views. It was definitely created by the user id I'm logged in as. A query of user_objects in sql+ shows all MVs, including the one that's missing in SQL Developer. If I log in using the same credentials in TOAD, the MV is displayed in the current schema, as I'd expect. The super weird thing is that if I use the previous version of SQL Developer, I see that MV! Any thoughts?

I am able to connect to the database through sql developer but unable to view tables list.
Select query is displaying the contents though.
Any Help ???I am on Windows XP using SQLDeveloper Build 5440 and I am having a similar problem (I think).
I am able to connect to the database, I am able to see a list of all the tables (as the owner) in the tree but i can not see anything under columns and am shown 5 all null rows under data. I am able to view statistics, DDL and I can query the table with a select and get results. I have tried reverting to an older versin of SQLDeveloper but that gave me the same result.
If this is the same problem then I am having it too. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have installed Orale EX 11g and was trying to create new tables using script menu.
Which "script menu" ? How can we help you if we don't know what you're doing exactly ?
And please post the exact Oracle error code you get ("Invalid Identifier" is too generic). -
Unable to view tables in Database Expert
When I connect to one of my Oracle database servers via ODBC and expand the schema of interest, only see Stored Procedures displayed. No tables or views available.
Checked the Options and under 'Data Explorer' the Tables & Views are checked.
Any suggestions on what is wrong with the configuration? Am able to connect to another database server and have no problems in viewing the tables/views.
Thanks in advance.Lewis,
By default CR will only read the first 8000 objects from a database. Try unchecking stored procedures and views. This will only return the tables from the DB.
If you can see the tables after this then there is a registry key that determines how many objects will be returned to CR. You can increase this amount. It is recommended that you back up your registry before editing though.

Unable to view table fields of Table/view while generating the Datasource
Hi,
I am using DB Connect to connect to DB6 DB and i am using BW 3.5 with Oracle DB.
I have DB6 DB listed in the Source system under RSA1 and i am trying to generate the Datasource.
If i goto RSA1--> Source system --> Right click on the source system -->Select database tables --> Select tables & views and execute DB connect for Logical sys --> Select Product DB and Click on Edit Datasource --> Nothing really happens....!!!!
Can anyone please help me ..........Hi,
Thank you for the quick response.
Yes, the connection is fine coz earlier we had issues with the connection and the Source system did not get reflected under the source system list in RSA1.
Now, i just to confirm i did Click on the CHECK button when u right click on the source system and it did not give any error.
When i right click on the source system and click on "SELECT DATABASE TABLES" and when i click on the execute button in the "DB Connect : Select tables and views(Object Catalog) Screen , i can see a view.
The problem i am facing is when i select the view and select EDIT DATASOURCE nothing actually happens.
kindly help.

Viewing Tables in Oracle 10g Enterprise Manager
Hello,
We are running Oracle 10g on a Linux Red Hat platform. We have started the dbconsole listeners to start using Enterprise Manager. The problem we are encountering is that tables that are in our schema are not showing up in Enterprise Manager. We have checked the tables using OEM and they are appearing there normally. The tables not showing were created from an object type. We are able to use DML, DDL on these tables using SQL, iSQLPlus. We appreciate any ideas. Thanks. Please clarify how did you check the tables in 10g using EM dbconsole.
Please post some screen capture of you login using sqlplus and shown the table is there for example,
%sqlplus test/test1

Hi,
I have an existing schema A and from there I created another user account. I tried granting select on a few tables from the user oracle account to the main account in schema A. The problem arises when I tried creating reports, under the query definition >> add/remove columns, I could not pull out the tables which I have granted earlier on. Any idea how I should resolve this?
Thanks!
NekoYes, granted. Not sure if Administrator side needs to grant the schema to the current workspace I am working with.

Unable to export table into oracle 9i
Hi all
While exporting tables from SQL Server 2000 using DTS Export, after successfully exporting tables into oracle9i in Windows, now I am getting following error.
[Oracle][ODBC][Ora]ORA-01740:missing double quote in identifier
Any suggestions to resolve the problem.
Regards
Vijay KumarHi,
My objective is to port data from legacy database in SQL Server to oracle database
After 10 tables if you are getting the Error means you can trace out the problem.
When you go for SQL Server 2000 DTS, you can find from Diagramatic Representation that the process is going on.
I mean if process of porting or transfer of data is happened successfully then you can see the GREEN Color for the process if completed from one table to another.
So check the Error for which table you are facing this error.
Then, check the Column mappings between the table.
If there is any data with single quote then you need append single quote before that other wise you will face this issue.
The problem is there is some data in your SQL Server table with single quote.that's why ORACLE is raising and issue.
Check the data in the table (SQL Server database).
Thanks

Unable to backup tables in Oracle 10g
hi,
I am faced with the following error when trying to take backup:
Validation Error
Examine and correct the following errors, then retry the operation:
Error - ERROR: Wrong password for user

Even i tried with SYS user.Hi,
Do you talking about OEM Database Console ?
On the Export Type page, select the type of export you want to perform. You can select Database, Schema, or Table and then enter credentials in the[b] Host Username and Host Password fields.

Is it possible to view your photos while on icloud, example: I can view my notes, calendar and even find my phone. I see that there is an option to manualy delyete the photostream pix as well as retrieve them when restoring your idevice. So, why is it that I cant view the pix?
PhotoStream is designed only for shunting photos taken on one device onto all the others. You can't actually view the photos at icloud.com.
The exception to this is any shared Photostream: these can, if you so choose, appear on a web page:
