Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

I am being blocked from some websites and cannnot figure out how. I am not a student nor am I trying to access sites from work. This is occurring at my home. While trying to fix things I stumbled upon the Authorities list in the Certificate Manager. What is this list for? And also, where did the items in the list come from?

What are stray points and where do they come from?

I recently made a drawing incorporating some elements from Inventor (PDFd and placed). After finishing filling in the details, I drew a marquee around the entire drawing and noticed dimensions of the drawing where 10x what it should have been. I zoomed out and and saw two pairs of points. one pair right, one left, were showing as selected. I tried selecting just the points and could not. After re-selecting only my drawing, they would show up. Its like they were grouped but not.
Anyway, going to select/ object/ stray points and deleting them solved it.
What are they and where did they come from? Obviously Illustrator recognizes they can be there because of the built-in menu allowance.

Stray points can occur in a multitude of ways. They occur much more frequently in Illustrator than other drawing programs because of its basic selection interface.
However, some programs' exports intentionally place stray points at opposite corners of the page bounds in order to convey those bounds to the importing program. (I often see this in imported DXFs.) That sounds like the kind of situation you are describing.

The icon is +Sections, not just Sections, as in "Add a Section". When you click that icon you get a section break and and a new section template, complete with preformatted text called placeholder text. The reason "Lorem ipsum" is there is so you can see what the format looks like. The reason that it is Latin gibberish is so you won't get hung up on, or distracted by, what it says. It's just a display of format. Select the "Lorem ipsum" text and start typing your content.

Either you enabled the guest user, or you enabled Find My Mac, which requires there to be an active guest account for a thief to log into, so that they'll connect to the internet and allow you to locate it.

Are you using a Gmail account? If so, are you syncing your Google calendars? Did you recently subscribe to a new calendar? I have a couple of calendars (moon phases, U.S. Holidays) that I subscribe to through Google Calendar. They are not editable.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems. 
A Reset is probably working as well for this issue with either the search engines and/or preferences.

I am trying to download Adobe reader latest version and when I hit download a bar appears at the top of the screen telling me to install missing plugins but firefox states plugins up to date what can I do?

I am unable to download Adobe reader to update my system as I only have version 7 on my computer. Normally I would be able to download direct from Adobe and my system would update but when I try to download a message bar appears which states on the left hand side "additional plugins are required to display all the media on this page" and on the right hand side there is a button which states "install missing plugins". When i plugged my iphone into itunes for the first time, it asked me if i wanted to sinc with my ipod that was already on itunes and i did. Now, it deleated all of the iphone applications that it came loaded with. How do i get these back?

It can't do that by itself. You had to click through several prompts telling it to restore it from a backup of an old phone for that to happen.
If the phone was not backed up to iCloud before this happened, or to another computer, then the data is gone. There is no way to recover it.

What is Bonjour and where did it go??

Help please - Hope this makes sense to someone - Finally decided to upgrade ITunes (kept seeing that reminder pop-up!), and after a major hic-cup with sound devices that have now sorted, tried to play music that I've purchased from ITunes using Windows > My Music (as have transferred some from ITunes IMedia folder to Windows My Music) - and it will now only open and play on ITunes. When I first did upgrade I had an error message appear that said something like ... ' .. can't be played .. Bonjour can't be found..' - whatever that may be, but obviously something to do with ITunes software. Any thoughts, ideas or help for this helpless female would be greatly appreciated!!

Lightroom crashed EVERY SINGLE file and photograph is gone! There is a file on my screen bearing the title of what I was looking at prior to the crash, but says, "DATA". What IS that and where did all of my stuuf go??

I noticed a weird file on my monitor screen thereafter, "DATA........Irdata. What is that? If this is where everything is, how do I get it back....and into Lightroom? What is happening?
