Unable to VPN to RV042 in same location.

Setup is: Cable Modem ------> RV042 (WAN IP: 172.x.x.x, LAN IP: 192.x.x.x) ------> Wireless Router (LAN IP: 10.x.x.x, Wan: 192.x.x.x, Gateway: RV042) -----> Client (IP: 10.x.x.x, Gateway: Wireless Router).
I want to VPN to the RV042 but am unable, even if I put the RV042 WAN ip address. I am able to easily connect to RV042 using PPTP tunnel with built-in Microsoft VPN support; however, I actually want to create a more secure tunnel (VPN) to the RV042 but all I see in the Log is that the QuickVPN software is "Remote gateway wasn't reached". Has anyone been able to use QuickVPN to establish a VPN tunnel to their RV042 inside the network?

Ok, I have a lot of questions; basically I didn't understand the purpose of the VPN connection or how you are trying to accomplish it.
- First of all, why do you need a VPN connection on your internal LAN?
- Second, what is the other end of the connection? Where are you trying to connect from?
- How are you connecting using PPTP?
Please post some more information about this so we can understand it better.

TWO Site to Site VPN connections at the same locations

Hi:
We have two locations (Site A & Site B) and currently have a site to site vpn stood up that we allow both data and voice traffic to flow across. However, we have been having MAJOR issues with our voice quality and no luck with improvement using QoS settings, etc. Therefore, we would like to stand up another site to site connection to have only voice traffic to flow over and haven't been able to do so because at each side we only have a single block of IP's (/29) and it is my understanding that it isn't possible to have two separate VPN tunnels as I am describing when the subnet is the same, is that correct?
Moving forward, we are looking into adding a 2nd block of addresses to both sides, however, Comcast Business is telling us that it isn't possible with their service :(.
Does anyone have other options for me besides moving to a different ISP?

This is a standard facet of most VPNs - the problem lies in your NAT router since both clients appear to come from the same IP address as far as the VPN server is concerned, and the router can't separate out the traffic.
There are a couple of solutions.
First, the built-in VPN server supports L2TP and PPTP protocols. You should be able to connect one system under each protocol, so that gets your two machines connected.
Second, you can replace your NAT router with one that supports multiple VPN clients (often termed 'VPN passthrough').
Third, setup a site-to-site tunnel so that your entire LAN is connected to the VPN (this saves you from having to run a separate VPN client on each machine, but is typically only worth it when you have more machines).

My system is windows 7 enterprise and in control panel the path for java JRE is C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe
In sqldeveloper.conf the SetJavaHome is C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_30
The sql developer doesn’t work, the error is: unable to launc the Java Virtual Machine located at path
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_30\jre\bin\server\jvm.dll

You could try upgrading to SQL Developer 3 which is more up to date.
Try running <sqldev>\sqldeveloper\bin\sqldeveloper.exe from a cmd window and see
if there is any more information.

Possible to have two occurences of sliding panels in same location on page?

Hi, any help you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated.
I'm redesigning my portfolio page, and am trying to use the sliding panels widget for the two gallery areas. Ideally, when you click the links in the Design area on the left side navigation section, a Sliding Panels Content Group containing all the design work slides should appear on the right side of the page. When you click the links in the Illustration area, a Sliding Panels Content Group containing all the illustration work slides should replace the Design group in the exact same location on the page. Similar to links appearing in an iframe, but without having to click links and upload a page in the frame for each image.
I've managed to get the two different Content Groups to both be on the same page at the same time, like is done with the multiple examples at http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/samples/slidingpanels/SlidingPanelsSample.html, but no luck getting a single Content Group to appear and then be replaced by the second group by clicking one of the links to the left.

I think you can do this by using Spry Tabbed Panels as your container for the two sets of Sliding Panels. I have not tried this particular nesting before, but if you set up a test page, you can try it out.
Each set of Sliding Panels would appear as content on one of the Tabbed Panels. When each Tabbed Panel Tab is clicked, the corresponding Panel appears, holding your Sliding Panels.
This may not work, but, as they say...you don't know until you try!

If I use add file / folder to library, it scans the folder and then makes a copy of any file that is not in my library in the exact same location; I recal in older versions of iTunes being able to just drag my media folder into my library and it would update missing links.

Only the songs that are connected to iTunes will be copied when you consolidate to a new folder.
Splitting the media folder away from the usual location makes it harder to move iTunes in the future.
Are you go move everything back once you've tidied up or are you going to leave it that way? Either way I'd recommend you create an iTunes folder at the new location, an iTunes Media folder inside that, and consolidate to this new iTunes Media folder. You should also use the option File > LIbrary > Organize Library > Rearrange files in the folder "<Media Folder"> if you have not already done so.

InDesign 2014 files don't save in the same location as the original file

The behavior in InDesign CC was to automatically save the file in the same location. I understand this is a new version, and saving my InDesign 2014 files should open a save dialogue. But I don't understand why InDesign seems unaware of the file's location. In this new version I have to navigate to the files location to overwrite, and that is taking extra time that the previous version did not require. Is there a way to restore the previous behavior. How do I open 2 finder windows in the same location?

I have one finder window
I navigate to a folder that is nested 10 levels deep
I want to open another finder window in the same location
How do I do this?

bring finder to the foreground and hold down shift +option + g. This will open a window where you can go to the path of the folder directly. Copy this from the original folder (get the path of the folder by selecting it and clicking command + i). This will give you the folder specifications including the path. Copy and paste the path into the "go to" window in finder and a new window will be opened.

Copy a text layer to another image in the same location

I am trying to find a way to copy a text layer in one image to another image of the same size so that the text layer is in the exact same location.
Basically I have two images for a rollover button for a website. What is the easiest way to copy a text layer to the other image so that it will be in the exact same location to create the rollover effect?

Right click on the layer, Duplicate Layer, set destination to the other image file in the dropdown.

How to save as AI file in same location with all text curves?

Hi Guys,
I am also looking for a script. Here are the details....
I do have lot of AI files (from different paths), which are completly work done. So I just need to make them (all files) a copy with all text curves in the same path should create folder name called 'LC'.
From the given path all the files should save as to 'LC' folder. ('LC' folder needs to create at the same location and original file should stay as it was, so no changes in original/source file)
While making curves we must remember that layers contains lock. So have to unlock all the layer and make curves and lock them back.
While save as the all files in the file names should add '_LC' at last. For example: file name is 'xyzxyz.ai'. It should come 'xyzxyz_LC.ai'
FYI: Using Adobe CS4...
