Unable To Watch Flash From Hulu

I noticed that I am unable to watch anything from Hulu.com only on my Arch Linux machine. It's a 64bit PC running Firefox and I can watch Youtube or any other video site that has embedded flash players except www.hulu.com. I attempt to pull up any video from that site and I get a message that says:
I am sorry be we're unable to stream videos to your system. This may be due to an Adobe software limitation on 64-bit Linux systems.
Does anyone else have the same issue and know how to resolve this?

it seems like it's a pretty common problem.

  • Unable to Install Flash

    Hi,
I currently have IE 6.0 on XP SP2, and I am unable to
download Flash from the following HTML
    http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/triggerpages_mmcom/flash.html
I did not get any pop up block bar or warning and I tried
manually turning off block pop-up from the privacy tab of the
    Internet Options dialog box.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,

This could be as a result of a couple of issues.
    1. Are you installing this from behind a firewall? If so, you
will need to release the firewall restrictions on Adobe.com
    2. Is your proxy-server (assuming you are using one) set
    correctly?
    3. Do you have administrator rights on that computer? If not,
you won't be able to download and install any software.

  • I purchased an adapter for playing videos from my ipod touch on my tv. It works fine for episodes I have purchased from Itunes, but won't play videos from Hulu Plus. What should I do to remedy the situation? Thank you!

I purchased an adapter for playing videos from my ipod touch on my tv. It works fine for videos I have purchased but won't allow me to watch videos from Hulu Plus. What should I do to remedy the situation? Thanks!

The iPod TV out only works for aps that support TV out.  The description of Hulu Plus only states that iiPad supports HDMI video out (SD only)

  • Unable to watch Adobe Flash / YouTube - OS X 10.6.6 - New MacBook Pro 2011

    Hello,
    I'm new to Mac family.
I recently got new MacBook Pro 2011 15" model. However I'm unable to watch videos on YouTube. It shows Adobe Flash Player is out of date. My MacBook Pro software up to date. I tried to download and install latest version of Flash Player from Adobe website. Installation went successful, but nothing works.
I tried on both Firefox and Chrome builds too. I even restored MacBook Pro to default settings. I'm just wondering, whether Mac supports Adobe Flash Player at?
Any further help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Does anyone else have a solution to this issue that does not involve doing a fresh install of Snow Leopard? That solution is not acceptable to me.
I did a system migration from a Time Machine backup when I purchased my new 2011 MacBook Pro last week. All my applications seemed to be working normally until I attempted to watch a YouTube video in either Safari or Chrome. In both browsers, all I get is a black screen where the video should be playing.
I downloaded and installed the latest version of the Flash Player for Safari and I am not able to manually update the Flash Player for Chrome since that browser keeps the Flash Player up-to-date automatically. The black screen persists when attempting to watch a video on YouTube. I cleared the site cache for the Flash Player just in case something was buggy there, but the problems remains.
Any assistance would be much appreciated!

  • My Power Book G4 unable to download instant watch movies from Netflix. Is there software to enable this?

My Power Book G4 is unable to download Instant Watch movies from Netflix. Is there software to enable this?

    Powerbook has a PowerPC G4 processor, which isn't Intel-based.
That's a problem we've run into with Powerbooks ... various web sites requiring an Intel processor or Flash, and other products, no longer being supported.

  • I am unable to access information from the internet as I am unable to install the lastest adobe flash player that is now required.  Can you please help?

I am unable to access information from the internet as I am unable to install the lastest adobe flash player that is now required.  Can you please help?

I fould a hack that makes the sites think you have the latest (Intel) version of Flash installed. So I installed it & it works with Firefox, TenFourFox & Safari. Here's the info.
Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.
     Cheers, Tom

  • After installing Adobe Flash Player latest update unable to watch iplayer due to "plug-in failure"

the Adobe Flash player update instruction showed on screen.  I followed the simple install instructions.  It stated everything had installed successfully, but when I tried to watch iplayer programme the message: plug-in failure appeared, and I was unable to watch any programmes and unable to even listen to radio programmes.  This has never happened before.  What should I do please? ;(

Adobe is working on a bug fix.  This article documents the workaround (which is to use the earlier version for now):

I am unable to view flash videos from all websites except youtube after updating to Firefox 4. All help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
    * https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode
    * [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
    * Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
    * Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
In Firefox 4 you can use one of these to start in <u>[[Safe mode]]</u>:
    * Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
    * Hold down the Shift key while double clicking the Firefox desktop shortcut (Windows)

The most recent update has made me unable to watch any flash or video. I have updated ALL my extensions and add ons, but still can't watch ANY videos or flash.

hello Torvaldr, this is probably a problem in connection with the recent update of adobe's flash plugin, please refer to the following article for common solutions: [[Flash 11.3 crashes or does not load in Firefox 13]]

I have just formatted by toshiba hardrive to Mac OS extended as recommended so I could upload movies onto it from my mac however I am now unable to watch these movies through my set top box like I could previously.  How can I fix this?

Check the box's documentation to find out what drive formats it's capable of reading. Very few, if any, non-Apple devices natively support drives formatted as Mac OS Extended.

I recently was unable to watch a movie I purchased &amp; paid for because my credit card was out of date. Surely you cannot take access to items I have purchased away from me if I do not own a credit card? Does this mean that I will no longer be able to view purchases if I decide to cancel my credit card. If this is the case, I will not be purchasing movies from iTunes again

We are fellow users here on these forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
If you have a credit card on your account then it will need to be valid. If you don't have a card to replace it with then have you tried removing it from your account ? On your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link.
    Changing payment info : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1918
If you don't get the 'none' option on the payment details screen then do you owe iTunes anything or have any pre-orders/subscriptions due : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5366 ?

  • I have recently purchased a film from iTunes but I am unable to watch it unless online? Is it possible to watch it offline as I downloaded it for a car journey ? Thanks

I have recently purchased a film from iTunes but I am unable to watch it unless online? Is it possible to watch it offline as I downloaded it for a car journey ? Thanks

I have purchased several movies for iTunes and can watch all of them when I am offline. I bought them for the purposes of watching them on airplane flights.
Are those purchased movies? Are you sure that they fully downloaded?

  • Unable to upgrade Flash Player from version 15 to 16

Hello Chris.  The process is still not right.  I've posted elsewhere but am unable to update Flashplayer from 15.xxx to 16.xxx.  I can get the installer but the actual download stalls at 35% or so using Firefox, sometimes as high as 44% with Chrome.  I don't play games but several sites have started initially denying me due to out-of-date FP.  Otherwise I really would have quit trying.  Using Window 7 Pro  64x, though several other programs are 32x----no idea what this means.  I have deleted FP  15.xxx  and the world has not ended--tho my patience has.  There's gotta be a fix!

Sorry you're having problems with the update.  Here's what I'd try:
    1. Uninstall Flash Player using the stand alone installer here (do this even if you've uninstalled from the control panel): http://download.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/support/uninstall_flash_player.exe
    2. If the online installer is failing, go to our Flash Player Install Help page and scroll to the bottom of the page: Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows
    3. At the bottom of the help page you'll find links to the ActiveX (IE) and NPAPI (Firefox) "standalone" installers.  Download these and give them a try.
Ps. I broke this out into a new thread as the one you had replied to was over a year old and unrelated to installation.

  • HT4095 I recently purchased 2 movies ( the crooks and White House down) but was unable to watch them.  Every time I tried it said not loading.  So I would like to know how I get reimbursed for these from iTunes?

I recently purchased 2 movies and was unable to view them.  It kept saying unable to load movie when it had clearly downloaded. How do I get reimbursed for these 2 movies as I was unable to watch them and am pretty fed up with iTunes right now?

Depending upon what country that you are in (films can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the films from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download films or if they re-download with the same problem then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
