Unable to work with WEBI in BO 4.0

All,
I have installed BO 4.0 server & clients on Windows 7 64 bit successfully. Everything is functioning as expected but WEBI. I am unable to start WEBI engine from Launch Pad or from WEBI Rich Client. Please do give me some suggestions. Thanks.

I'm afraid that's besides the point, because as soon as you contact Support, the reply will be unanimous.. unsupported
That it works may be more luck than judgement...
you could try changing BIlaunchPad > WebI preferences to "desktop" and try and invoke the thick-client application in 3-tier mode from web launch. But that's purely speculative, as your config is not supported

Pretty self-explanatory - the Spring framework jars are missing from the classpath used in compilation.
If you don't have them, get them from www.springframework.org.

BI Publisher not working with Web Cache

BI Publisher not working with Web Cache
I'm trying to enable BI Publisher to run from the internet. I have Web Cache (AS10g rel 2) in an internet DMZ, trying to work with BI Publisher running on a AS10g rel 3 server in a application DMZ. BI Publisher won't allow Web Cache to hide the URL after login. It tries to use the application server name as a URL and gets lost, since this is not resolvable from the internet. We have Content DB, other J2EE application installed in this same configuration, and it works fine.
This is duty managed as of today. They required an enhancement request, which I submitted. SR 6696835.993 -

Currently an enhancement - it was logged as that but IMHO its a bug as other Oracle products work OK - it kinda depends on whether its an ORacle strd to work with webcache or not. Suffice to say, we are investigating the issue and will update the er/bug soon.

What is the right sdk api to work with webi reports in BOXI Release 4?

I just read in the omg model for rebean (sdk for working with webi report documents) that all functions to access the report structur and layout are no longer availabe beginning with Release 4.
Can anyone confirm, that this is the case?
Are those functions moved to a different SDK component?

Well, the point with the report engine sdk is a surprise. What is the sense of new functionality when you cannot use it (spoken for the api processing), and in addition when the new functionality eliminate functionality which was available before in the sdk.
In my view this cut is to hard. The .pdf speaks from deprecated, but the blog and the information in the report engine api speaks a different language. The functionality is not just deprecated but no longer available.
Hope SAP will address that before relase 4 becomes GA in May 2011.

Hi. THere are two flavors of webdynpo, you have the java side, and the ABAP side? Which do you want to work with?
For the java side, you will need to download and install a Netweaver Sneak Preview Java system as well as the Netweaver Developer Studio. The studio is the IDE which you will use to create your webdynpro applications, you then deploy to this java system to run the app.
For the ABAP side, you will need to download and install the Netweaver Sneak Preview ABAP system. Of course the IDE here is SE80 in the ABAP system. Webdynpro is built directly into SE80.

Unable to work with Workflow Variable through SPML launchProcess Request ?

I am trying to work with launch process request, which worked well with no error message when I am just using the workflow call through SPML "launchProcess Request " call. You wouldn't happen to be using Vista's Home Edition are you? I work from home and have Vista Home on one of my PC's and it has the same issue when I'm connected to 2004s systems. Unable to work with songs. Says computer is not authorized, it is. Have tried deauthorizing and then reauthorizing, that works, but still get the msg that computer is not authorized. What to do? Thanks!

I have an older pc with itune songs on it. Trying to burn to disk. Tells me that the computer is not authorized to do this, it is. Have tried de-authorizing it and re-authorizing it and I'm able to do that. Then if I try to authorize it, it says it already is, but still won't allow me to work with my songs, still says not authorized. The songs I'm trying to burn were purchased from the itunes store, but don't show up on my purchased songs on my new iMac, not sure how to find them. Any ideas? Thanks!

Tried it without much success though.
Looked good at first. I was able to unauthorize it and after rebooting all I went in under "store" and authorized it again, witch it did without a hassle.
But, when I had restarted everything again and tried to sync with me iPhone I still got "Part of the programs in the iTunes library, for instance 'yadda-yadda-app' was not installed on the iPhone unit 'The name of my iPhone' because you are not authorized for them on this computer. You can authorize this computer for purchases by choosing store - Authorize this computer"
(Translation to english might include minor errors...
So... Any other ideas on how to sync my iPhone with my iTunes?
(Oh, and my iPhone has never been jailbroken or anything like that.)

IDM is not working with Web Sphere

i have installed IDM 7 and make the idm.war and deploying with websphere5. the deployment has success but when i tried to start the application from web sphere admin console the web sphere server stops and not work admin console also.

This may not be related, but I found that it may be necessary to turn of the Java 2 security option on the JVM in WebSphere.
To turn off in WebSphere, logon to the WAS Administrative Console and navigate to Security > Configuration > Secure Administration > Applications and Infrastructure. Uncheck the Java 2 Security option.

Certificate request not working with web server v2 template on windows 2012 R2

I have tried to generate a certificate request on my domain joined Windows 2012 R2. I have tried both online and offline requests. I am using the web server v2 template.
Both Method fails with error message that the cryptographic algorithm is unknown. I am using these settings apart from the template:

I am wondering if a cryptographic service provider or several of them are missing? They are installed With Windows update are they not? The strange thing is that this supposedly have worked before with another user. Could it be that I do not have the
correct permissions to request a certificate with this template, or has something happened with the server?

But if I execute javascript:var win=showModalDialog("http://otn.oracle.com/products/forms"); directly in IE, then it is working.

Thanks for your quick reply. Your question is right. I think let me explain clearly my requirement. I have an application accessed in the web. A internet user is trying to a report through the application by giving a parameter as "A". Now using the window.open method, the report is displayed in the IE browser. Now the user can go to history and can see the complete URL with parameters.
If he just copies and pastes that url from history in the browser, the reports runs successfully. If he changes any of the parameter to "B", there is a chance that report will show the report for parameter "B". This should not happen.
Hope this is clear. Let me know if you are not still clear. Moreover, in the IE it is possible to clear history, but for internet based applications, how can we set them.

When i try and and run the test from :- Support Desk- Web Dynpro Test Tools-
Portal Navigation, the following error occurs:-

Problems with re authentications in a wireless with WLC working with web authentication and a radius server

Hi everyone, im having problems in a wireless network, the SSID has security layer 2 WPA, layer 3 web authentication (internal default page), and external RADIUS.
When a client makes a roaming from one AP to another one or when he has a idle time, he needs to re authenticate in the web login page. Somebody knows a solution to avoid this behavior?. Or somebody has a troubleshooting way to determine why the clients have this problems??

A few things I can share that might help .. Your actually feet on the ground will be importnat to see this issue for yourself.
I know when a client or if the AP sends a DEAUTH frame the client will need to reestablish its connection and it will 100% of the time require a new web auth. If a client loses connection while roaming and a DEAUTH is sent on either side you will get the page. If youre client isnt romaing cleanly this can be a problem.
Another problem is your using EAP. Are you using CCK or a device that supports OKC. What does your radius server say when a client roams ?
You could also simply your config and then reapply your security and see where it breaks. By this I mean. For testing, create a SSID turn off security and leave layer 3 web auth on. Roam and see what happens. If it works, then start to apply the security and see where it breaks.

Taglib tag doesn't work with web.xml 2.4 ?

That is, I switched to the 2.4 version of web.xml and now none of the taglib elements I have in there work.
I get the following excpetion

Finding out what is the trick.
I have Tomcat 5.0.28, but I don't think it would make THAT much difference.
What version of Java are you running?
You shouldn't need the entry for the JSTL library c. That works without an entry in web.xml, provided you use the correct URI.
First step: make a test page that only uses that one taglib - eg an html:base tag.
Confirm that it breaks with the current setup.
Backup web.xml, and start it from scratch with an absolute minimal one - only import the struts-html library.
Does that work?
Slowly copy and paste in the different bits of web.xml until you find what breaks it.
