Unable to write class
Hello all,
I am having problems in creating a chat application.I have my files in c:\something. Now i try to use rmic with the Server program(ie; indirectly implementing Remote ) and it says
unable to write class: st_stub.class
unable to write class: st_skel.class
where st is the name of my classfile
I compile under c:> by saying
rmic something.MainClient and this is what gives the error.
i'am working under Windows98.
Can anybody please help

I have the CLASSPATH set to the location of DBCacheStore.class file both in cache-server.cmd and in my application startup JVM params. But still i am not able to resolve this issue. However i am still able to hit the database and get the values for the first call and on sub-sequent call, i am able to retrive the value from cache. I also encounter the below error, after i have retrieved the values from cache...

As the exception occurs, the cluster gets restarted and when i re-run the application, it again goes for a DB hit instead of cache hit.
Note : I have the cache-server.cmd running in one the console window.

Unable to write data into excel file when it's close
Hi,
I'm facing this problem and it's a bit weird. I'm using the following method to insert data into excel file. But when excel file is close, it unable to write data into the excel sheet. But it was able to write the data into the excel sheet if i open the excel file when running the program.

8iR3; EJB deploy; "Unable to read class bits" error

I have a strange situation going on at the moment. Every time I wish to deploy an EJB to 8iR3, the JDeveloper Message View shows the following (after app specific messages):

If I then just redeploy without changing a thing, it deploys fine and everything works.
I haven't seen a post on this forum like this, is there a configuration problem at my end?

nullI think it is due to the fact that I am writing a 'business interface' for my EJB, then including it in my deployment package.
This technique is recommended in O'Reilly's 'Enterprise Java Beans' 2nd Edition p344 to ensure the bean interface and the bean match their signature.
I don't get the 'class bits' error when I write EJB from the wizard, but when I add a business interface it happens first deploy, and is OK for the second one.
Hope this helps anyone else who is getting this behaviour, I guess we'll have to see what happens in OC4J/Orion. -

I’m unable to write/burn a CD-R (Verbatim) from a playlist after upgrading to iTunes 12.0.1.26. I get error 4000. Having outdated firmware can cause issues using CDs and DVDs with iTunes for Windows. Firmware is a type of software stored in a chip in hardware that can sometimes be updated.Identifying drives and firmware versions
To run CD Diagnostics, follow the steps in this document.
After following the steps to run CD Diagnostics linked above, look at section three to find out more about your optical drive(s).
Here is an example of what section three might look like:
In this example there are two drives. Drive E is a Samsung DVD-ROM drive with a model designation of SD-616 that has firmware version F000. Drive F is an NEC drive with a model designation of NR-7900A that has firmware version 1.08.Updating the firmware
If the optical drive you are using came with your computer, check with the support site for your computer for a firmware update. Typically you will need to go to the support website for the computer maker and click on a "downloads" or "updates" link, and then enter your computer model designation and operating system version to see what updates are available. Then look through the available updates for a firmware update for your optical drive. Download the updater and run it. If you need assistance applying the update, contact the maker of your computer.
If the optical drive you are using came as a separate part (was not included with a computer), check the support site for the drive maker for a firmware update. Sometimes the manufacturer is not clear in the CD Diagnostics results. In that case, you may just have to search the Internet for the drive model designation. You can usually find out who made the drive by looking through the results of such a search. Once you have identified who made your drive, go to the support website for that company. Look for a "downloads" or "updates" link, and then enter your optical drive model designation. Download the updater and run it. If you need assistance applying the update, contact the maker of the optical drive.Verifying that the firmware was updated
Run CD Diagnostics again.
Examine the CD Diagnostics results. The firmware version for the drive should be the new version.

Also, you mentioned that you have been successful burning a CD with the Windows OS. Make sure that you have closed all software programs that can access the CD burner so that there isn't a conflict for the drive. Sometimes chaning the burn speed from "maximum" to 8x can also help in this situation.

My Mac is a late 2009 model and the current hard drive recently failed. So I bought a new one, exactly the same, albeit 750gb instead of 500gb. The HDD is a Seagate Momentus 7200. Before the my current drive failed I made a time machine back up to an external USB HDD. I've inserted the HDD into the bottom of my Mac, plugged in the USB and started my machine pressing the 'Option' ([ALT]) key. I go into Disk Utility to try and format the new HDD by creating a new partition but I keep getting the messages,
"Error: -69760: Unable to write to the last block of the device"
or
"POSIX: could not allocate memory"
This is actaully the third HDD I've tried. The first was another Seagate Momentus 7200 500gb, but this time it was a newer model (model number ended in 423AS instead of 420AS - the new one I am trying ends with 420AS, which is the same as the current HDD). I then tried a Western Digital drive but that one didn't even show up in DU. Forums and tech support are suggesting it's faults with the HDDs but surely not three in a row?
Could this be an issue with another part of my Mac?
Is there anything else I can do to format the HDD, have I missed a crucial step?Did you ever get a resolution to this issue?
I am having that exact error with a new 512GB SSD from Crucial, in a 15" MBP mid-2010.
I really wonder now if the stupid SATA cable could be bad - causing the initial SSD fail. I am replacing it with the EXACT same drive, and getting that "last block" error when i partition in the GUI or from command-line.

I get this message when trying to go to "http://{hostname}/papz/login.jsp"

Unable to compile class for JSP
Please can anyone help me to solve this.
Actually,this is the condition.
In my db,there is a table called UserPassword, which has 4
fields(empNo,UserName,password,level). Now I want to do these things:
When the user submits the data to create a new account via HTML form, it submits the data to the file called CreateAcc.jsp. In this file it perform some logic,here are they.
1)To check the empNo,if it is already exist in the DB,
if empNo =exist then display error.(record already exist)
if empNo =notexist then do task 2).
2)check the UserName,if it is already exist in the db,
if UserName=exist then display error.(because it's a primary key)
if UserName=notexist then do task 3).
3)Create a new user account and save it to the db.
To do these tasks,I never create a new objects for the tasks 1) and 2).
only for task 3)create an object.
Is it the right way?

Eclipse Plugin Creation - "Plug-in name was unable to load class " error

i got a little problem again. I have written the first lines of code of my plugin and wanted to test it (run as Eclipse Application). I got the following error-msg, when clickin either on the menu item or toolbar button:

Unable to load class from JSTL
Hello. I am using JSTL 1.06 from Jakarta with Tomcat 4.1 on a MacOS X 10.3.9 server. I have a jsp that contains the following:

I know that many people have asked similar questions, but in each case, the response was to put jstl.jar and standard.jar in WEB-INF/lib and make sure that you're using the proper URI for the taglib, and I think I have done those things correctly. The JRE is 1.4.2_09. I can't use 1.5 (5.0) without upgrading the OS.
I haven't tried it on a PC. I might be able to, but it would take me some time to set everything up.

ITunes 10.5.3, Unable to Load Class Data from Sync Services, Crashes Repeatedly
Ever since iTunes 10.5.3 on my Windows 7 x64 box, I've been having serious problems keeping iTunes running:
1) Any time I connect my iPhone or iPad, or any time they attempt to sync over WiFi, I get the 'Unable to load class data from sync services' error. It's worth mention that the iPhone or iPad do actually then proceed to sync correctly, and all media / data is synchronized successfully, as far as I've been able to tell. I've reset sync history, restored the iPhone and iPad, manually moved the SyncServices directory, set both the iPhone and iPad up as new, completely uninstalled iTunes and the mobile device software, re-installed, and *nothing* I do fixes this issue or even seems to impact it. Uninstalling iTunes 10.5.3 and reinstalling iTunes 10.5.2 resolves this error.
2) iTunes 10.5.3 has serious crashing problems on my machine, though I've searched through forums and found a lot of other people with the problem. In my case, sporadically as iTunes access the iTunes store (for example, I can always make it happen by subscribing to the Diggnation podcast and telling it to refresh the podcast), I get a full application crash which generates the following event in the event log:

Again, uninstalling iTunes 10.5.3 and re-installing iTunes 10.5.2 fixes this issue as well, but I really shouldn't have to do that. Is there any actual solution to these problems other than dowgrading to an older version?
Yes, I'm running current malware protection (and my system is clean) and yes, I've already checked any other obvious culprits to make sure I don't just have a corrupt library or file somewhere that's causing it. My Windows 7 install is completely up to date from a Windows Update perspective and also from a driver perspective (even including the motherboard and chipset drivers). I made sure to do a system file integrity check (sfc /scannow) and it confirmed my install of Windows isn't suspect, but beyond all that I was able to reproduce these failures on a completely separate machine running Windows 7 x64, without any of my media library or data on it -- iTunes 10.5.3 just seems to be bad news on Windows 7 x64 for me, even though I know there are definitely people are using it successfully. I don't get any other application crashes for any other applications, and I've never had an issue like this with any previous version of iTunes...
Last but not least, in case it matters, I'm running iOS 5.0.1 on both the iPhone4 and the iPad2. The iPhone4 is the GSM AT&T model and the iPad2 is the CDMA Verizon model.OK, I've given up. Uninstalled iTunes 10.5.3 permanently. It's a shame, 10.5.2 works perfectly but 10.5.3 is a complete and total cluster for me.
Anyone with the same problems who hasn't done this already, just uninstall iTunes and the Apple Mobile Device Service in your Add/Remove Programs, then re-install iTunes 10.5.2. You won't lose your library or any settings or apps, it will just go back to working again.
I wish Apple would acknowledge this so that I'd at least know it would be fixed in the future. -
Overriding eventdistributionpattern-pof throwing unable to load class error

We were trying to override the "coherence-eventdistributionpattern-pof-config.xml" with our own event distribution pof due to conflicintg type-id's. We changed type-id's for few of the classes. We changed the type-id for the following classes and left others as such.

I have tried putting the ExampleTag.java file and the folder that it is in, 'tags', in about every path I can think of and I get the same error. I also tried removing the entire path from the .tld file and just calling for tags.ExampleTag. Still no luck.
I am using win98.
