Keeps giving the same error message - "Sign in to write a customer review". Even after entering the correct username and password, it gives the same message.

    It may help to sign out of the App Store, then back in.
    App Store
    iOS 6 and later: Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store.
    If you signed out before changing your Apple ID, sign in with your current Apple ID.
    If you're still signed in with your previous Apple ID, tap your previous Apple ID and tap Sign Out. Then enter your current Apple ID to sign in.

    Hi Guys,
    I have been an avid podcast listener for quite sometime and eventually decided to download itunes to not only manage my casts but to also provide some support to the podcast community in presenting some reviews.
    However since I am situated in South Africa, with a valid itunes account, I am unable to review any of the podcasts, and if I wish to download or set up a subscription I have to change my country of origin to USA.
    I find this total ludicrous and feel marginalized by Apple...is there any member out there that could provide me with some assistance in either finding a work around or perhaps a way of getting the matter resolved.

  • Unable to sign-in to write a review.

    Hi,
    I want to write a review for an iPhone app. When I click on the "Write a Review" button, it asks me to sign-in to write a customer review. I enter my ID and password, click "Sign in". The box disappears and immediately returns, asking me to sign-in.
    I have tried signing out of the iTunes store completely and signing in again, as well as restarting iTunes and my Mac, but I still get the same problem. I account is okay, I can sign-in to iTunes, make purchases with no problem. I was even able to sign-in here without any problem.
    If I put an incorrect password in, or no password at all, it comes back and tells me so (in red), but if I put my correct password in, it just keeps coming back and asking me to sign-in.
    Any ideas?

  • Error when writing reviews: "in order to write a customer review for this item you must have purchased or downloaded it first"

    I constantly get the error "in order to write a customer review for this item you must have purchased or downloaded it first" when I'm trying to write reviews on my iPhone.  Sometimes I can access iTunes via my PC and write the review on there from the App Store page, but sometimes even that doesn't work.  Even though, at the top of the app's page, it says "downloaded" under the graphic.  I am properly logged into iTunes, using the same email address and password I used to purchase the app.  I don't understand why this is happening, it doesn't make sense.  It started after I updated to iOS5, but I can't find any mention of other people having this problem.  Anyone know anything?

    You CAN'T review applications "purchased" using a promo code. Not saying you used a promo code, but if you did, you won't be able to leave a review. If you didn't use a promo code, delete the app in question from your iTunes library, then re-download it. See if you can leave a review now.

    I am a PC user!?... I've purchased an iPhone application vCaddy that isn't working properly. I wanted to slash them with a bad review but when I go to the application to write the review Apple asks for my logon but won't accept. I've reset the password so I know my ID and password is correct. Suggestions?

    Same problem here (though I'm a Mac user). I'm signed in (can buy apps), but when I click on "Write a review", I get prompted to login again. A few moments after entering my password, the login box pops up again. Entering a wrong password produces a message saying "Your Apple ID or password were entered incorrectly", but the correct password just gives me the login box over and over again.

    I would like to write a review for an app I bought from the App Store.
    "Locate the item that you would like to write a review for."
    Where? In the App Store via the internet (e.g. on my iMac), OR via the App Store button on my iPad Mini?
    "Click "Write a Review" in the Customer Reviews section."
    How? I could find no active link associated with the Customer Reviews section once I had located the item for which I wanted to write a review.
    So the question remains "How does one write a review for an app?" … and, so far as things stand, the instructions provided in the page <http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3928> are, as far as I can tell useless. Certainly, the Apple website and associated instructions have become, for this long-time user, more akin to Microsoft Windows in their impenetrable lack of intuitive, user-friendly ccharacter.
    Oh yeh. To add to my 'disgruntledness' … How come there is no iPad Mini option in the Product drop down below?

    I have been having this issue for months, now--at least 3-4.  I updated my credit card info on my account, thinking maybe that would do it, but NOPE--can't review a single thing I've ever purchased in iTunes--not from my iPhone 5, PC or iPad 2.  Ridiculous, at this point...just remove the ability to review at all, if this is how it's going to be. SO frustrating.

  • Ping 1202 error, also can't rate music or write a review

    I have been unable to ever get Ping to work. When I try to set up my profile I get a -1202 error. Around the same time Ping refused to work (since it was introduced) I notice I now also cannot rate a song, I get an error message, and I cannot write a review.
    I've contacted support a couple of times and gotten solutions not related to making Ping work or solving any of the other problems and then they close the ticket.

    This is developer from Autodesk. We get this compile error from time to time. This is a sporadic failure. We can't find any issue in our own project.

    I find a help doc from the website to try some steps to solve this issue.

    To correct this error
    Compile the program again to      see if the error recurs.
    If the error continues, save      your work and restart Visual Studio.
    If the error continues, restart      the computer.
    If the error recurs, reinstall      Visual Basic.
    If the error persists after      reinstallation, notify Microsoft Product Support Services.
    My question is what the root cause for this issue. Could you please give us some explanation where the issue should be,  VB compiler? .Net Framework?
    Visual Studio? Operating system?

  • I can't write a review for an app in the App Store

    I cannot write a review for an app in the App Store. Every time I try, there's a message popping out saying " in order to write a customer review for this item, you must have purchased or downloaded it first". But I already downloaded the app. Please help.
    P.S The app was Mathletics.

    I have the same problem with 2 other apps from the same developer, in my case Restaurant Story and Fashion Story. No problems with other apps. That means something... TeamLava is the culprit.

    Also, you mentioned that you have been successful burning a CD with the Windows OS.  Make sure that you have closed all software programs that can access the CD burner so that there isn't a conflict for the drive.   Sometimes chaning the burn speed from "maximum" to 8x can also help in this situation.

  • Trying to install/format an INTERNAL hard drive using Disk Utility gives me "Error: -69760: Unable to write to the last block of the device".   Is that a hardware problem and what could be done about it?

    My Mac is a late 2009 model and the current hard drive recently failed. So I bought a new one, exactly the same, albeit 750gb instead of 500gb. The HDD is a Seagate Momentus 7200. Before the my current drive failed I made a time machine back up to an external USB HDD. I've inserted the HDD into the bottom of my Mac, plugged in the USB and started my machine pressing the 'Option' ([ALT]) key. I go into Disk Utility to try and format the new HDD by creating a new partition but I keep getting the messages,
    "Error: -69760: Unable to write to the last block of the device"
    or
    "POSIX: could not allocate memory"
    This is actaully the third HDD I've tried. The first was another Seagate Momentus 7200 500gb, but this time it was a newer model (model number ended in 423AS instead of 420AS - the new one I am trying ends with 420AS, which is the same as the current HDD). I then tried a Western Digital drive but that one didn't even show up in DU. Forums and tech support are suggesting it's faults with the HDDs but surely not three in a row?
    Could this be an issue with another part of my Mac?
    Is there anything else I can do to format the HDD, have I missed a crucial step?

    Did you ever get a resolution to this issue?
    I am having that exact error with a new 512GB SSD from Crucial, in a 15" MBP mid-2010.
    I really wonder now if the stupid SATA cable could be bad - causing the initial SSD fail.  I am replacing it with the EXACT same drive, and getting that "last block" error when i partition in the GUI or from command-line.

    I have a scenario in one of the query and need to write a customer exit for the same. Here is the scenario:
    I am using one input variable XXX to get input from user which feeds value to one of the charateristic  lets say "CHAR1" in query. I have one more characteristic "CHAR2" which has to get the value from the same variable XXX. This is not allowed in BI7.0 as the variable is Hierarchy Node type. It gives error that "Variable XXX is used for two different characteristics."
    So i need to create one more vaiable YYY which will get the value from XXX and then YYY will feed value to CHAR2.  I would appreciate if some one could tell me step by step how to write customer exit and give me the piece of ABAP code i need to write in my case.
    Your help will be appreciated in terms of points.

    1. What should CHAR2 take - Hierarchy node variable or something else ?
    --> CHAR2 is a simple charateristic
    2. In your scenario - why have CHAR1 and CHAR2 ? why not have the user enter values against CHAR2 ??
    --> We dont want user to enter two input as the input values for both Chars are same.
    3. Did you try using a replacement path variable with the CHAR2 variable taking values from Variable on CHAR1 ?
    --> In BI7.0 replacement path variable only take values from Query results. So not able to do the same.
