Unable to write results of score model

Hi all,
Trying to write the output from score model into writer gives this sometimes:

Without knowing anything about your data or what you are trying to do....
The error message is not due to an issue with user account and password. A quick Bing search indicates that it is most likely a problem with encryption/decryption of the data in the query string to SQL, or with data type conversions. For example, one answer
on the ASP.Net forum states that: "The usual reason for this error is, you are assigning Nvarchar value to varbinary or image type parameter and trying to insert the same in a Image type column in SQL"
Does the SQL table to which you are writing your data already exist, or are you letting the Writer module create the table for you? If you are letting the Writer create the table, it is probably making some incorrect assumptions about how to convert your
data to SQL types. For example, string -> nvarchar(50) and Byte[] -> nvarchar(4000). Try creating the table yourself (the Azure portal to SQL makes designing a table fairly easy) so that you control how your data is converted to SQL types. If you have
already created a table, double-check the types and make sure that they can handle the data you have.
Hope that helps.

    Hi iTunes-1,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!  The error message you posted indicates a possible firmware update is needed for iTunes for Windows to work with your CD drive.
    iTunes for Windows: Updating the firmware on your CD or DVD drive - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201852
    Having outdated firmware can cause issues using CDs and DVDs with iTunes for Windows. Firmware is a type of software stored in a chip in hardware that can sometimes be updated.Identifying drives and firmware versions
    To run CD Diagnostics, follow the steps in this document.
    After following the steps to run CD Diagnostics linked above, look at section three to find out more about your optical drive(s).
    Here is an example of what section three might look like:
    In this example there are two drives. Drive E is a Samsung DVD-ROM drive with a model designation of SD-616 that has firmware version F000. Drive F is an NEC drive with a model designation of NR-7900A that has firmware version 1.08.Updating the firmware
    If the optical drive you are using came with your computer, check with the support site for your computer for a firmware update. Typically you will need to go to the support website for the computer maker and click on a "downloads" or "updates" link, and then enter your computer model designation and operating system version to see what updates are available. Then look through the available updates for a firmware update for your optical drive. Download the updater and run it. If you need assistance applying the update, contact the maker of your computer.
    If the optical drive you are using came as a separate part (was not included with a computer), check the support site for the drive maker for a firmware update. Sometimes the manufacturer is not clear in the CD Diagnostics results. In that case, you may just have to search the Internet for the drive model designation. You can usually find out who made the drive by looking through the results of such a search. Once you have identified who made your drive, go to the support website for that company. Look for a "downloads" or "updates" link, and then enter your optical drive model designation. Download the updater and run it. If you need assistance applying the update, contact the maker of the optical drive.Verifying that the firmware was updated
    Run CD Diagnostics again.
    Examine the CD Diagnostics results. The firmware version for the drive should be the new version.

    Also, you mentioned that you have been successful burning a CD with the Windows OS.  Make sure that you have closed all software programs that can access the CD burner so that there isn't a conflict for the drive.   Sometimes chaning the burn speed from "maximum" to 8x can also help in this situation.
    I hope this information helps ...

  • Trying to install/format an INTERNAL hard drive using Disk Utility gives me "Error: -69760: Unable to write to the last block of the device".   Is that a hardware problem and what could be done about it?

    *** PLEASE NOTE*** - This is a query about an INTERNAL HDD not an external one. Thanks.
    My Mac is a late 2009 model and the current hard drive recently failed. So I bought a new one, exactly the same, albeit 750gb instead of 500gb. The HDD is a Seagate Momentus 7200. Before the my current drive failed I made a time machine back up to an external USB HDD. I've inserted the HDD into the bottom of my Mac, plugged in the USB and started my machine pressing the 'Option' ([ALT]) key. I go into Disk Utility to try and format the new HDD by creating a new partition but I keep getting the messages,
    "Error: -69760: Unable to write to the last block of the device"
    or
    "POSIX: could not allocate memory"
    This is actaully the third HDD I've tried. The first was another Seagate Momentus 7200 500gb, but this time it was a newer model (model number ended in 423AS instead of 420AS - the new one I am trying ends with 420AS, which is the same as the current HDD). I then tried a Western Digital drive but that one didn't even show up in DU. Forums and tech support are suggesting it's faults with the HDDs but surely not three in a row?
    Could this be an issue with another part of my Mac?
    Is there anything else I can do to format the HDD, have I missed a crucial step?

    Did you ever get a resolution to this issue?
    I am having that exact error with a new 512GB SSD from Crucial, in a 15" MBP mid-2010.
    I really wonder now if the stupid SATA cable could be bad - causing the initial SSD fail.  I am replacing it with the EXACT same drive, and getting that "last block" error when i partition in the GUI or from command-line.
    thanks!

  • Unable to write to library iPhoto library Check that you have permission to write to the library directory

    I think my iPhoto memory is full. I cannot get in to delete photos.  When I open it I get the Unable to write to library iPhoto libraryCheck that you have permission to write to the library directory" and i can't do anything else. I tried alt/cmd first aid and it didn't work.
    I want to get in and move pics over to a USB stick drive but cannot get past the Unable to write to library..message.

    Option 1
    Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
    This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

    Hi guys,
    I think the issue was due to using varchar2 datatype column (duration) for measure Hirerchy.
    after converting it into number (using view option in rational DB) & doing the whole process again. it works fine
    Reference section (Note):

  • Sickbeard fails to start. "Unable to write PID file" [Solved]

    I've installed sickbeard from the AUR but can't seem to get it started.
    when running "sudo systemctl start sickbeard.service" I get the following output:
    Job for sickbeard.service failed. See 'systemctl status sickbeard.service' and 'journalctl -xn' for details.
    'systemctl status sickbeard.service' provides:

    And it looks like 'journalctl -xn' provides about the same info:

    Also, here is the current systemd file for sickbeard, if that helps:
    [Unit]
    Description=SickBeard daemon
    After=network.target
    [Service]
    EnvironmentFile=/etc/conf.d/sickbeard
    User=sickbeard
    Group=sickbeard

    Type=forking
    TimeoutStopSec=20
    PIDFile=/run/sickbeard/sickbeard-8081.pid
    [Install]
    WantedBy=multi-user.target
    So I guess obviously the important part is "Unable to write PID file: No such file or directory [2]", but I'm not really sure what that means or how to fix it. I've played around with the PIDfile configuration for the systemd service (tried renaming from sickbeard to sickbeard-8081) but I always get the same error.
    Any ideas?

    The sabnzbd systemd unit file doesn't use a pidfile. Not sure why. It would make more sense there than it does for sickbeard, because IMHO sickbeard should run as the user who owns the target tv-series media folders. Using tmpfiles.d just causes a headache when you are going to update it using the AUR package.
    I installed it once using sickbeard-git from AUR, changed the systemd unit file and /usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/sickbeard.conf to match my user, chown -R'ed /opt/sickbeard, ran "pacman -R --dbonly sickbeard-git", and ever since use "git pull" to update. That also works directly from web interface.

If I try to dismount the drive I get a -50 error that the drive is in use. But that is not true because nothing but the finder is running. If I look the console log there are lots of the following messages.
    Dec 6 15:50:43 squid fseventsd[45]: disk logger: failed to open output file /Volumes/Calvary1TB/.fseventsd/63657332a56b8d30 (Invalid argument). mount point /Volumes/Calvary1TB/.fseventsd
    Dec 6 15:50:50 squid UnmountAssistant[1463]:
    The drive in question is the CAXM Calvary1TB drive. BTW when I received the Calvary disk drive, I reformatted it OSX journaled with a GUID partition before using it. All my other 8 TB of storage is formatted the same way and I had no problems before Snow Leopard. Anyhow, If I force a dismount, all returns to normal. OR if I disable sleep the drive drives options in the energy saver preferences, the problem disappears. But then none of the drives ever spin down.
    Once every 50 or so forced dismounts (it happens a lot), OSX will crash with the kiss of death display.
    This problem did not exist in pre Snow Leopard, so obviously changes were made to the file system and not properly tested. Anyone have any idea when this will be fixed.

    The drive in question is the CAXM Calvary1TB drive.
    Calvary lists this drive series only in its "Windows PC" section at http://www.cavalrystorage.com/pr_index.htm. This could be a problem because different manufacturers use different methods to implement wake-from-sleep (or more generally, energy management features) in the support circuitry of external drives. IOW, there are no universal standards for this, so manufacturers may or may not design their implementations for cross-platform compatibility.
    Unfortunately, since Windows PC's dominate the market some manufacturers use energy management methods in some or all of their designs that work reliably only with that platform. For this reason, there is always some risk of unexpected behavior when using external drives not specifically marketed as Mac OS X compatible with a Mac. (This is not a problem with "raw" internal drives directly connected to a Mac's SATA interface because there is no support circuitry involved.)
    Since you already have invested in these drives, your best bet is to contact Calvary & see if they can offer a solution. If you are lucky, they may have a firmware updater for the CAXM series that works reliably with Snow Leopard; if not, they may simply tell you not to let the drives sleep, or that they don't support the CAXM series with Macs & you are on your own.

  • Can't upgrade iPhoto Library - 'unable to write to library "iPhoto Library"'

    I apologise in advance if this is a little convoluted.
    I have a MacBook Pro purchased a little over a year ago and I'm not sure what version of iPhoto is was running. It had a meltdown when I tried to upgrade to Mountain Lion and was ably serviced and returned to me with all my data heroically saved and stored in a shared folder.
    When I got it back I upgraded successfully to Mountain Lion and installed all the iPhoto updates. After a false start, and having to reinstall iPhoto I am now running 9.4.3.
    I have shifted my old iPhoto Library out of the shared folder and into the Pictures folder where it sits alongside the pretty much empty iPhoto Library created automatically by the install. When I try to open my old Library it says it needs to be upgraded, which makes sense, but immediately after the upgrade commences I get an error message saying 'Unable to write to library "iPhoto Library" Check that you have permission to write to the library directory'. I am not sure what to do from this point.
    I have verified that the photos are all still in the old iPhoto Library Package.
    Thank you.
    Melanie

    Hang on - I had browsed extensively, but it was only after I wrote my question that all the other similar ones popped up on the side bar. I've followed the advice in some of those and it seems to be working. I apologise, but I seem to be unable to delete this discussion.

  • Unable to write in an external drive

    Hi, everybody:
    I am unable to write or work with the material I have in an external drive. I can see it, but nothing more. I see I have only permission for 'Read only' ('Solo puede leer', in Spanish), but I can't change it because there is no 'lock' to open there, or an evident way to do it. And I don't want to touch things in the System Preferences without knowing.
    What can I do?
    Thank you in advance for your help,
    Remedios.

    Thank you, Barney-15E. I can't reformat the drive, because I have there a lot of valuable stuff. Stuff I need to work with.
    Hey... I'm a little disappointed with this. How is it that this super computer (the iMac is really wonderful, I agree) can't work with a simple hard drive I can use everywhere else..?
    Well, anyway, sorry for disturbing you with my problems. Which one, Paragon, Tuxera, you recommend?
    Thanks again,
    Remedios.

  • Please Help! Unable to write error whilst trying to synch my ipod to Ext HD

    Hi there,
    I hope someone out there can help me as I have searched high and low for the answer to my problem without success.
    I recently copied my music library to an external hard drive (seagate) connected to my pc via usb. I am able to play music fine from the external library. However when I plug in my ipod to copy the music over, Itunes crashes with an unable to write/network connection error.
    As I have >60GB of music and a 20GB ipod, I have selected the option to auto update from playlists which is < 15GB of music. This doesn't seem to be the issue though because attempting to manually update the ipod by drag and drop gives me the same error.
    Generally, one song will copy over before the error is displayed or itunes crashes. If I unplug the ipod then itunes recovers ok.
    I have upgraded my ipod and itunes to the latest software versions - a number of times:( I am getting the same problem on my HP Compaq desktop as I do on my Dell Inspiron laptop at home.
    There seems to be a conflict somewhere but I really need help to resolve it.
    Hope someone can help!
    Thx,
    Nikki.

    Could be your security software preventing the devices from being recognized in iTunes. Try disabling a/v software and turn off the Firewall.
    Disable antivirus software
    Turn Windows Firewall on or off

  • [Solved] CUPS: Unable to write print data: Input/output error

    I'm filling this for the benefit of those poor googlers that can reach here.
    Symptoms: After trying to print a "complex" image the printer made too much breaks, and failed.
    The problem is, it then didn't came up. I mean, I restarted the printer, cupsd, the whole system, and nothing.
    I was unable to print again, it showed "Unable to write print data: Input/output error" and refused to print anything.
    I then saw that in /etc/cups I had printers.conf and printers.conf.O files, which differed (other than in StateTime), that printers.conf.O had
    State Idle
    but printers.conf had:
    State Stopped
    StateMessage Unable to write print data: Input/output error
    Reason paused
    Probably due to the ErrorPolicy being stop-printer.
    So seeing I followed the following steps:
    Stop cups
    Replace printers.conf with printers.conf.O (I could also had manually edited it)
    Start cups
    It then went working flawlessly.
    There was probably an option in the web interface combobox for doing that. The problem is that I didn't realise it was stopped, so didn't know how to make it work. Moreover, some posts in the web recommended reinstalling the printer (which would skip the problem by creating a new printer).

    I think that I had this same problem, and fixed it by reinstalling the printer.  Thank you for your post.
