Unablo to open Crystal report from infoview

Hello Experts,
I have an issue while opening crystal report from BOBJ Infoview.
The report opens for some users and some users are getting this error.
" Internal error. Please contact your system administrator. [RCIRAS0216]  ", the report is based on bw query and the users has access to this query, the users are able to execute other report based on same query.
Even some users who are administrator group members are getting this error.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Kish

It happens to only one report, but when i changed the option to "Use same database logon when report is run" in CMC, it resolved the issue.
But i was wondering why the report encountered this error for the same user for whom it was working good in the past.
Thanks,
Sai

    Hi experts,
We have developed some reports for our ECC 6.0 system by using Crystal Report 2008 and SAP integration kit , these reports are published to BO edge 3.1 server.  To view the report, our user have to open IE and login Infoview first.
For convenience, we want to open Crystal report from SAPGUI directly without login BOE, How can we do it?

  • Problem opening Crystal Report from SAP GUI through VPN

    Hi Everyone,
I am facing an issue with opening the crystal report from SAP BW Role menu(SAP GUI). The issue is only with the BW Users who are connecting to the Client systems through VPN. All the settings are done perfectly in the Transaction /CRYSTAL/RPTADMIN and SICF for the CE_URL.
For those who are in the client network it works fine. Please see the URLs generated in both the cases, below.
    From Client N/W
    [http://sapbobj:8080/SAP/jsp/Action_Dispatch/dispatch.jsp?sap_client=100&cmsname=sapbobj:6400&language=EN&sap_sysid=D40&bw_id=4HUFYJ3XBZ7QLP5HIDYPR7PR6&sap-client=100&actionName=SAP_CrystalReport_View&appKind=InfoView&service=%2FInfoViewApp%2Fcommon%2FappService.do&loc=&initialFolderId=null]

  • Database error when trying to view Crystal Report from InfoView

I am receiving the following error when I try to view or run a Crystal Report from the InfoView.  The report is based on an SAP InfoSet.
    "Failed to load database information."
The report data can be refreshed with no trouble from within the Crystal Reports designer on my local machine, but the error occurs after it is published to the InfoView.  The same error appears when trying to import into Excel using LiveOffice.
    Server details:
    -Edge 3.1
    -Windows 2003 64-bit
    -SAP Integration kit installed
    Local Crystal Reports machine details:
    -Windows XP
    -SAP Integration kit installed
    -Crystal Reports 2008
My steps to troubleshoot so far:
-Checked Database Logon details in CMC for the report.  Username and password are entered correctly.
-Cycled all CrystalReports background services off and on again from the CMC
    -Rebooted server
Have I missed anything?  Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,
do you have any connectivity from your EDGE to the SAP System ? Like can you import roles or run a WebI ?

  • How to open Crystal Reports from Business Content Ext BW

    Hi friends,
I have activated 0CR_FIAA_M20_Q0007 Crystal Reports from Business Content Ext BW and I have configurated BW_Publisher services in BW but I do´t see reports in /CRYSTAL/RPTADMIN.
I check RFC connection and it´s ok
    Here I can´t get a role
and here I don´t see reports
Do I have to create special role with especial authorization?
How do I save this Crystal reports in a Rol?
How do I open this Report ?
I check Ingo Blog BusinessObjects and SAP - Publishing of Crystal Reports Part 1 of 3
but I think, I don´t have some configuration.

    Hi,
I can open report from Role thru CR 2013.
Here SAP  2.0 folder y Rol
    Here, settings in /CRYSTAL/RPTADMIN are:

  • Scheduling Crystal report from Infoview portal doesn't show up data

"The crystal report is based on a SAP BI query. The parameters of the report are basically the parameters(SAP variables) of the SAP BI query. When we run the crystal report in the CR Report Designer tool, it runs fine showing all the data correctly. Then we published the crystal report to the Crystal Enterprise Server from the SAP BI system. Through the Infoview portal, the user clicks on the 'Schedule' link for the report and sets the parameters. When the 'Schedule' button is clicked, it runs successfully but no data is seen in the report except for the template. But under the same report, in Infoview portal, if the user selects "View" link, sets the parameters and then clicks the 'Execute' button, it runs successfully showing all correct data.
Dont understand why it works for 'View' link but doesn't work for 'Schedule' link. Is there any setting that needs to be made for this?"
    Thanks in advance,
    Sri

Once you tick the schedule button the History window opens and you should see your instance. Status is usually pending and after a refersh (scheduled for run now) you should get the status running/successfull or failed. What is your status here and what happend if you tick on the instance once you get the status successfull?

  • Open Crystal report from SAP BW

    Hi,
is it possible to open and refresh (thus passing parameters/values) a certain Crystal report (version 2008 SP3) from a SAP BW system (version 7.10), e.g. with a RFC call? If it's possible, which transaction do I have to call to setup this call?
Which other ways could be possible?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
each report can be opened up via URL. There is a default application called OpenDocument. You can find the details on help.sap.com as part of the documentation for SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise.

    Hello,

  • Installed BOE XI R3.1 Client tools now I cant open crystal reports?

After I unistalled the client tools I cant open Crystal Reports from local drives. I can from BOE, but not local or network drives. Plus all the Icons from these drives have been removed. What did I do wrong?

Need more info and it's not clear what you did or what is left on your PC but typically which ever CR product you still have installed going to the Add/Remove software and doing a Repair install on Crystal Reports Designer should fix the problem.
    Thank you

  • Open a crystal report from WAD with passing  the variables values

    Hi,
I need to know is there any way to link SAP WAD to crystal reports (open a crystal report from WAD)and pass the values of the variables which are entered in the Web App. (e.g. Customer id,year) should be passed to the Crystal Report.
Maybe we need to pass parameter by WAD URL but this is just my assumption and have no idea how to do this with passing variable values.
right now I know the method of how Bex queries which are used as data source for crystal reports but in my current scenario we have the structure like this that bex queries link with WAD and then WAD is linked with crystal reports.
No doubt that Crystal report is target option in RRI but there the source is Bex Query only but in current scenario we are looking  WAD (web template) as a source to crystal report or crystal report called in WAD.
    Please suggest something on same.
    Thanks
    Take care

    Hello Vishal.
Did you find a solution for this problem?
I'm facing right now the same problem, I need a way to link SAP WAD to crystal reports (open a crystal report from WAD) and pass the values of the variables which are entered in the Web App. (e.g. Customer id,year) should be passed to the Crystal Report.
Have found an answer to this issue? If yes, please kindly inform how have you solved this.

  • Having trouble opening Crystal Report files from a document library

I am trying to open Crystal Report .rpt files from a document library in either the native, client Crystal Reports software or in Crystal Reports Viewer. When I add the Crystal Report files to a document library and attempt to open them SharePoint displays
a prompt asking me to save the file locally instead of opening the file. I have done a lot of research online and found several sites discussing similar scenarios, however, I have not been able to get these solutions to work. Here is a short list of sites
I have referenced for possible solutions:
    http://naadydev.blogspot.com/2013/03/crystal-report-viewer-sharepoint-2010.html?showComment=1383339860122
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/sharepoint/en-US/52aabf2d-10dc-424c-bd50-124fc972a9b9/crystal-report-viewer-integration-with-sharepoint-2010?forum=sharepointgeneralprevious
    http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/42731/Crystal-Reports-WebPart-for-SharePoint
Here are the steps I have done to try to get the .rpt files to open:
Added the Crystal Report extension .rpt as a MIME type
Installed the Visual Studio 2012 Crystal Reports Viewer toolbar
Installed the 64-bit Crystal Reports runtime
I have also created a solution file based off the Code Project site which partially works, but not quite right. In this project I have created a document library called "Crystal Reports rpt Files" and deployed the solution file to a site. When
I open the Web Part Maintenance Toolbar I can see the selected .rpt file in the drop-down, but no Crystal Report file is displayed on the page itself.
I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Does anyone have experience working with Crystal Reports and SharePoint 2013 (or earlier versions) that could lend some advice?
    Thank you,
    Alex

We are having the exact same issue, has anyone resolved this yet?

  • How do I open a Crystal Report from Microsoft Access?

I'm looking for step-by-step instructions on how to launch a Crystal Report from a Microsoft Access application (for a dummy like me).
My Crystal Report uses a connection to the Access database as the data.
I have Microsoft Access 2002 with Microsoft Visual Basic 6.5.
I have Crystal Reports 2008 CR Developer 12.
I'll need to know where to find the Visual Basic code references, and/or ActiveX Controls, if applicable.

    I concur with Don. Just a bit of help - a sample VBA app is here;
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100006013432008E/rdc_vba.exe
But as Don mentioned, you will have to downgrade to CR XI r2 (or lower) to implement the above solution.

  • Infoview error when opening crystal report

Anyone experienced this type of problem and managed to resolve it?
    Kindly assist.
    Thanks

Sorry I did not provide all the information.
I get the error message u201CThe database login information for this report is either incomplete or incorrect".  This is when refreshing a crystal report in Infoview.  The data source is SAP and am directly accessing the tables.  Am running IE 8 and crystal reports 2008.  I have checked security options and they look ok.

  • Error: Failed to open the connection when opening Crystal Report in CMC or

    Hello all,
I am getting theError: Failed to open the connection when opening Crystal Report in CMC or Infoview
with access database as the datasource which is in the network drive.

    Hi Sonali,
This is because Crystal Reports does not recognize database connection from share drive
    1. Save the database locally on server machine
    2. Create a new database on server and link the new database with the database on Network.
    Steps to link the database.
1.Create a new test database on server.
    2. Go to File --> Get External Data --> Link tables | Select the database on Network Drive.
    3. Select all the tables from the database.
    4. Save the Database  e.g. Test.mdb.
    5. Create an ODBC Connection on server machine, with the same name as on client machine using test.mdb database.
Note: Click on Advanced button, enter the default user id and password for the odbc connection, it is not mandatory to give Login Name and Password, only if the user id and password are given then we need to provide the same user id and password in the CMC database configuration.
    6. Create a report using this ODBC connection, and save the report to Enterprise.

  • Crystal reports from command line

    Post Author: DrewJ
    CA Forum: General
    Hi,
I need to run Crystal reports from the command line.
Does anyone know how to pass parameter arguments when launching the application?
    I have tried cr32w.exe c:\reports\report.rpt arg="099909"
(which launches the right report, but does not pass in the arg)
    Is it possible?
    Thanks in advance,
    Drew Johnston

    Hi,
Thanks for the reply.  The application would not be on the same server as the machine.  So if I used the command that you gave me would that actually run the report (ie refresh the data and then save the report ,as instructed in the settings, on to the network location).  Or would it just open up the report.  Also, how would I send parameters to the report, eg Dates or Status.
This is the scenario.  At the moment a user would input data on to database via an external applicaion.  After inputting all the data, they would then have to log into Crystal Infoview.  Navigate to the report.  They would then click on the Schedule hyperlink.  They would change the parameters eg Start Date and End Date.   And then press the Schedule button.  The report would then refresh the data, and as specified in the Destination, it would write out to a network location.
So we want the external app to write a command line prompt, so that the user did not have to log onto Crystal at all.  The application would send the relevant parameters and run the crystal report automatically without the user having to log into Crystal at all.
    Regards,
    Prakash
