Unauthorised purchases in my I-pad

There have been purchases on i-pad for which no prior approval or permission was taken. It is automatically purchasing. How do I stop that?

Do you have Cellular and wi-fi capabilities on your ipad? If so
You have to go into your settings and turn on "use cellular data" for those apps. Because it sounds like you are not connecting to your wi-fi

    You cannot sync iphones to ipads.
    You would sync the ipad to your computer, just as you do your iphones.

    I have asked for your email address to be edited out. Posting your address in an open thread is a sure way to be bombarded by unwanted email, remember it will be here long after you have resolved your problem, for automated detection software to find.
    If you want people to contact you, enable others to see your email address in your profile.
    You should start by changing the password on your account.
    Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account  > Password and Security.

    Login to iTunes on your computer, go up to "Store", the View Account, then Purchase History. It stuff isn't right, contact iTunes support:

    It sounds like you have a couple of purchases that you didnt make. I would check in your purchased history to verify these were purchased with your Apple ID with the following article:

  • I purchased a used I Pad and cannot access facetime. I have email address and Apple password but nothign happens. please advise

    I purchased a 3rd generation I Pad ios6.0.1.  I have been unable to use facetime.  I put in email and then apple password, hit next and it takes me back to the same screen.  I also have not been about to use I think it is messaging.   I have been online, purchased music from I-Tunes, can do email. No luck with facetime.  Please advise.  I am new to using a tablet.

    If you have purchased a used ipad, and you think there may be a possibility of previous owners info on it, then restore it as new. Your issue can probably be resolved without that, but I would recommend it.

    I want my money back and I want it now. Why doesn't apple have a phone number for urgent account problems? i got an overdrawn fee from my bank, I checked the transactions and found apple iTunes charged me 11 times in one day with the total amount being over $170.00!!!!! The only purchases I made that day were a few $1.29 inapp purchases. How do I get my money back??? And why don't they have a phone number you can contact.     Thanks but unfortunately I don't have that option (I'm im Australia) so this will be day 8 that apple have my money without authorisation. The amount has now increased due to the transactions that were pending prior to me cancelling my credit card. The total is now over $300 including the overdrawn fee. It is beyond comprehension that a company the size of apple doesn't have a *real* customer service dept that handle these types of *real* problems immediately via phone contact but I guess that's the point isn't it? If we want to use the apps they provide thru their services and devices we have no choice but to put up with their primitive third world service. I sent them an email via the link you provided 4 days ago. There is no excuse for me to be STILL waiting for this problem to be resolved - none whatsoever, it is disgusting.     Without the previous user erasing, using their Apple ID/password, the iPad you have an "electronic brick". You may have purchased a stolen iPad.

    I have the same problem. It is only with tv shows and only with programs I have downloaded after the software update.
    Apple support sent me the above link too....but it doesn't solve the problem...my computer is authorized and the content is in my library and will play on my Mac air, but it will not sync the tv shows, it keeps saying my computer isn't authorized for it.
    No answers here, but you are definitely not alone with this issue.

    Where are seeing the charges ? There are a number of phishing emails doing the rounds saying that items have been bought.
    You can view your account's purchase history via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes : See your purchase history in the iTunes Store - Apple Support
    And check to see if you have any auto-renewing subscriptions (and cancel them if you don't want them) : Manage your auto-renewing subscriptions - Apple Support
    If there are purchases on your account which you didn't make then change your password - you can do that when logged in via Store > View Account on your computer's iTunes, or by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store on your iPad and logging in.
