Is there any way to veiw an unavailable number, origin, or destination on the detailed portion of my bill???

Probably not the number, possibly the origin.... you can also subscribe to a paid service called Trap Call that will give you the number and other information.

You could be having a drive collision with another device on your computer. Connect your Shuffle to a rear port on your computer, then connect your keyboard and mouse. Disconnect ALL other USB devices including printers, thumb drives, scanners, modems, digital cameras, external hard drives, infinite improbability drives, etc. If you are on a network, disconnect from the network.
Now change the drive letter on your iPod. Use something much higher like M or P or Z, unless you have another device that uses this letter:

How to reduce unwanted callers for elderly parents

I am interested in Do Not Disturb for my parents' landline. They have many charity solicitors (we placed their number on donotcall.gov, which only works with for-profit telemarketers, I believe) who call and convince them to make pledges, even occasionally give credit card info over the phone. They are not at the point of taking credit cards away, but are softies for callers, it seems.
Can Do Not Disturb still be ordered from Verizon? This seems like it would be a good option for them. If not, does anyone have other suggestions? Thanks!

I don't know if Verizon has anything worthwhile to stop "Unavailable" or "Out of Area" callers, or caller id's that only show a state name. My mother was having the same problem, and we finally got a her a Panasonic KX-TG9341S phone system - it has a base station with 4 cordless phones and has both a "Call Block" and a "Night Mode" feature.
Even though Verizon's service will not block an "Unavailable" number, even though it has a phone number associated with it, the Call Block feature will hold either 25 or 50 numbers and when those numbers call, the system immediately answers with a busy tone. And the night mode will not ring any of the phones during a time period that you can set. Verizon is the only company I've ever had phone service with that shows only state names, or Unavailable or Out of Area even though it displays the number - I assume Verizon does a lot of business with the telemarketers. I know that the "Anonymous Call Block" only works with caller ids of "Private".
So, if you can't get it done with Verizon, there are a lot of new phone systems you can buy that will duplicate those feature lacking from Verizon. The Panasonic model I mention is about 2 or 2 1/2 years old by now, they probably have a newer one with the same features under a different model number.

Uhhh so a beta version of Yosemite? Some of those other processes have not been working even with the latest version of Yosemite.
The serial number should still be on the bottom. Even if the bottom is changed the Apple standard operating procedure is to write the serial number on the inside of the new bottom case.

My phone number is showing up as unavailable

so i had a customer call in saying that everytime he would go into his contacts and see his number, it would come out as unavailable, so he would manually enter his number, but it would not allow it to update. so i want to see if anyone else has had a similar issue and if they have any work around for it.

He'd have to talk to his carrier to get his number to show up.
I have been able to successfully type in my number manually when I was in the UK earlier this year.

Whenever I call my voicemail or 101 to check voice messages, it rings until a voice says "the number I have called is unavailable from this service" and tells me to enquire something. Ringing other numbers and texting is working fine, except voicemail and 101. Please help

Voicemail is primarily a function of the cellular provider. You may want to discuss the issue with them.

I don’t think there are many “must have” features in PSE13 especially if you are doing most of your editing non-destructively in Lightroom and only going to the external editor occasionally.

Specific number in Thailand has become unavailable...

Every now and then i need to call DTAC`s call center in Thailand to renew an internet subscription.
From approximately two months ago calling +6622028100 (DTAC`s call center) gives the following message translated from norwegian "you can not call this number at the moment".
I first thought that their number had changed, but then tried to call them from my norwegian mobile and my lync subscription from work and both calls came through.
I have the following two active subscriptions which should cover this number (landline in thailand):
World minutes for Office 365 & Thailand Unlimited mins 3 months.
Does anyone know why this number is unavailable?

You can "sort" by the phone number column, and then it will group all the calls from that number together, and you can count the number of calls. Just click the column heading to sort by that heading....

I just did this and it worked for me after a frustrating hour (sorry about your 24 hours):
1) Make sure you are using the latest version of iTunes. It can be downloaded free of charge at the Apple website: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download
2) Open iTunes.
3) From the Store menu, choose Sign In.
4) Enter your account name and password then click Sign In.
5) From the Store menu, choose View My Account.
6) On your Apple Account Information page, click Edit Payment Information.
7) On the Edit Payment Information page, select the None radio button to completely remove all your credit card info.
8) Click Done, and then click Done again.
9) From the Store menu, choose Sign Out and then close iTunes completely.
Once you have removed your credit card info, follow these steps:
1) Using your web browser, go to the My Apple ID page at: http://appleid.apple.com/
2) If the site is not displayed in your preferred language, click the Change Language link in the upper-right corner, type the name of your language in the field that appears, then click the Save button.
3) Click the "Manage your account" link.
4) Type your iTunes Store account name (which is your Apple ID) in the Apple ID field, type your password in the password field, then click the Sign In button.
5) Click "Addresses" in the left column.
6) Edit your addresses and make sure the appropriate state is selected for all of them, then click the Save Changes button at the bottom. 7) Next, click "Phone Numbers" in the left column.

3) Log in with your iTunes Store account name using the same password you use in the iTunes Store.
4) At the Your Account screen, choose the Change Account Information option on that screen.
5) Enter your credit card billing information, including the shipping address information.
6) Choose the proper county for your address. Click continue. Your account will then be updated, and a pre-authorization amount will temporarily be charged to your credit card (which will be automatically removed). Once your account is updated, close your web browser.
7) Launch iTunes. Your iTunes Store account should work normally.

Let me state up front this post does not involve the use of Skype numbers. I am living in Victoria, Australia and use Skype Credit from my computer to phone landlines overseas. Approximately two weeks ago I started to get the message "the number is unavailable" when trying to phone my cousin and his wife on their landline in Connecticut, U.S.A. (Area 1203). It is only happening with their number. It is not happening with the phone number for another cousin in New York State (area 1845). My cousin's wife in Connecticut has confirmed there have been no changes made to their telephone service. I deleted this contact from my list and recreated it but am still getting the message "the number is unavailable" whenever I try to call. Has anyone come across this problem? Thank you.

As I do not know how to edit/update my original post I am choosing to reply to my own post. This morning, I decided to once again try to get through to the Connecticut number of my cousin using my Skype Credit and to my surprise, this time it worked. I did not get the message "this number is unavailable". As previously reported, about three weeks ago I started to get this message. I learned last night from my brother, also in Australia, that he too had not got through successfully. As it was only this number we had a problem getting through to, maybe the fault was to do with my cousins provider? Thank you to all who viewed my original post. I hope this reply, while not exactly discovering why I was having difficulties getting through, will let you all know it is working again. Best wishes.

Hi, I have a MacBook Air Model A1369. When I go to the apple in about this Mac the serial number of the Mac says its unavailable. Does anybody knows why? And don't know if thats why my iMessage, FaceTime and Find my Mac won't work!

Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider to have the problem corrected. Reinstalling the OS will have no effect.
Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional—ask if you need guidance.
If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to an empty drive from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.
Keeping your confidential data secure during hardware repair
Apple also recommends that you deauthorize a device in the iTunes Store before having it serviced.
*An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed.

Making a number unavailable between 1700 and 06.00

Hi,
Does anyone knows how we can make a number unavailable between 17.00 and 06.00. I have to create a number with a permanent forward to cell phone, but the number should only be called between 06.00 and 17.00. So if you are dialing this number at 18.00 the forward will not work, neither the phone rings.
Any suggestions on this?

In the translation pattern i'm now using a css which cannot reach a mobile number.
When this number is unavailable (it is between 17.00 and 06.00) the person who is dialing the number is receiving the same tone indication as the number is incorectly formed.
Is it possible to set a message on this number during the unavailable period telling it is available during daytime
