Unbearable slow network with E4200v2 after update to 2.1.41.164606
I've been struggling for a while with slow overall network connection. I noticed it all started after upgrading the router to the latest firmware 2.1.41.164606Various data points: - The slowness is intermittent and inmmediate solution is to reboot the router. Sometimes is every day, sometimes it lasts for a week.- Access to 192.168.1.1 gets really slow, to the point is almost impossible to use, when in slow mode. - Slowness is both wired and wireless. I'm really frustrated about this issue. Anyone see a way to solve this?
Did you do a factory reset after doing the upgrade? If not then do that now by holding the red reset button for about 15 seconds until it starts to reboot, remove power for about 10 seconds then restore power. Once it finishes booting after the reset configure the router from scratch not a restore. That can sometimes fix a lot of issues.

I've lost all my playlists,,finally played around with it and got the songs back but some have an exclamation point beside them and can't be located. they are songs i've purchased. I updated to 10.6.8 too, was suddenly unable to print to my before perfectly working printer (an HP Color LaserJet CP1515n hooked up to an AirPort Express), and started scouring the web for solutions. The more I tried, the more disappointed and frustrated I became. Then I came here, read about a possible solution in this very thread (the disk image 'Repair10.6.8.dmg') and became hopeful again.
But alas...
Sadly, this isn't working for me at all. I ran the script that supposedly fixes the print problems introduced in 10.6.8, but the print jobs still all pause the printer and fail with a 'broken pipe' error. It has nothing to do with the USB cable, as I can print just fine with the printer directly hooked up to my Mac wit that very same cable. I reinstalled the drivers, updated my printer's firmware, ran the repair script twice just to be sure, reset the printing system, even deleted all preference files with 'hp' in the name and having to do with printing, restarted my Mac. All with no result.
Man, this is so frustrating! Anybody with any other suggestions or possible solutions? -

I am facing problems with mails after update iPhone 4S/io7. I have configured yahoo mail in iPhone 4S. When I click on refresh, it shows new mail downloaded but when I go inside inbox the new mail don't show up. Can anyone help me with this iOS 7 issue ?

Perform a hard reboot
Hold down the Home button and Power button on your iPhone or iPad and keep holding them until you see the Apple logo. Once you do, you can let go. When your device boots back up, go ahead and check to see if the apps have started re-downloading. If they still appear to be stuck, continue on. -
Ipad mini problem with wifi after update 6.1.3
Hello!
My ipad mini was working fine before the 6.1.3 upgrade, immediately after updating, the wifi stopped working. Restore the iPad to its factory settings as deleting both my data and to reintroduce the network, was still not working.
Help please!Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Some other things to try:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

That sounds like the phone was patch unlocked previously. All you need to do is:
Download Omnius from here http://www.omnius-server.com/download
Then register here http://www.omnius-server.com/register_app
Then open Omnius and click settings and then server settings
Then with the username and password you registered with enter your details accordingly.
Then select K810 from the drop down list
Then click unlock
Then select unlock network lock by reset
Then select the original certificate and follow the on screen instructions. -
Serious slowing down of performance after updating Flash Player.
Hello guys, after updating today Flash Player i had expirienced severe lagging during playing flash video files from sources like youtube, any advices how can i turn my system back to the previous version of flash player? Or something like patching, because now, every flash video i play is with lagging.
My Flash Player version is now 11.2.202.228
My configuration is an Athlon 2500+; 1GB Ram DDR400; Radeon X1550 256MB

I made yesterday an experiment, removed the 11th version of Flash Player Plugin & ActiveX, and installed from the archive the 10th version of plugin + 11th activex and then everything worked like it supposed to be - fine.But i have failed to install 10th version of ActiveX, i'ts just telling me that cannot be installed, some kind of error.
P.S. I think i've fixed my issues, i tried to install again from the Adobe Flash Player archive version 10.3.183.18 ActiveX & Plugin and i did it.Now .flv are running like 2 days ago - without any problems.
Maybe the thing is that my configuration is slow for the new version of the player,my CPU isn't multicore, but still it is not bad for the Adobe programmers to optimize the new version better for slower pc's.

IPhone heating up, laggy, slow and low battery after updating to 7.1.1
I mean, after upgrading to 7.1 my iPhone 4 worked very well, actually worked pretty fast, I felt like I'm back on iOS 6, and liked the iOS 7 for the first time. But now after updating to 7.1.1, battery drains very quickly, it's so slow, and laggy, also iPhone heats up really fast when I'm using it. Is it the same to you or it's happening just to me? My friend also called me last night and said "Is your iPhone heating up like mine", it seems I'm not the only one??
Also, iPhone heats up mostly around the camera...Even my iphone 4 was heating up like ****, i cant even touch it with my bear hands... Too much heat, too much draining of battery. Even normal usage without any data connection & wifi, i am getting 2-3 hours backup. That is too ridiculous. I'm going crazy with this bloody 7.1.1 update. I am starting hating iphone for the first time because of this issue...

Black screen with underscore after updating ubuntu on Lenovo G560
hello everybody, I'm new here. I looked for this problem online during the past few days but I haven't found a solution. I have a Lenovo G560 and I divided my hard drive into two partition, I installed Ubuntu on C:\ and Windows on D:\ and I haven't had any problem, but after updating ubuntu to version 14 my computer couldn't boot anymore. the bios loads and I see the Lenovo icon but then I just get a black screen with an underscore (not a blinking underscore), I tried booting from a bootable USB stick but the same thing happened (I put it as the first device to boot from in BIOS settings). can anyone please tell me what are my other options ? what should I try now ? thanks in advance and have a good day !
Hi s, and welcome to Apple Discussions.
Try this:
Hold down the Option+Command (Apple)PR keys, boot/restart your MBP while continuing to hold down those four keys, and after you hear the startup chime for the second time, release the keys. That should reset your PRAM and resolve the issue.
If the issue persists, while you're booted into Open Firmware, just after the prompt, type in:
reset-nvram
then press return, then type in:
reset-all
and press return. This should restart your MBP and it should go back to starting normally. -

BIG problem with Mail after updating Mac OS X Leopard to 10.5.7
Hi everyone,
after updating OS X Leopard to 10.5.7, I noticed that all of my Mail accounts had disappeared. If I try to set them up again, Mail doesn't seem to be able to store them and after quitting and re-launching, they're gone. This had never happened under 10.5.6 or previous OS.
Strangely enough, only the MobileMe account seems to be stored.
I tried repairing the permissions, checking the hard disk, re-installing Mail from the Leopard DVD, deleting the com.apple.mail.plist file. Nothing seems to work so far.
Any suggestions? I haven't been able to use Mail for almost a month now. I used to have 6/7 accounts and I can't stand having to check their web-based version. I want Mail to work as it always has!Rest assured it doesn't happen to all Macs with 10.5.7. I'd start a new topic thread here:

Problem with iphone after update
Hey guys, I am having a bit of bother with my iphone. Basically i was given an iphone 3g and I'm not really sure where it came from but it had a vodafone sim, I am on an orange contract so i took out the vodafone sim and put the orange one in and to my surprise it worked, it has been working fine for months but tonight I decided to do an update on itunes and now it is telling me that the "sim card in this phone does not appear to be supported" and and my phone is stuck on a screen with the usb cord and the itunes logo telling me to connect it, also i can only make emergency calls. What on earth have i done? I no longer have the original sim so cant use that to activate it
Is there any way to fix this? I had no idea doing an update would cause this trouble and atm my phone is useless.

Tors,The problem also appeared for some people after updating to 7.0, and for some after updating to 6.1.3, or 6.1.2, or to 5.1, 5.0, etc. and some first saw it without updating at all. Which argues against it being a software problem with 7.1 specifically.
Restore your phone using iTunes and set it up as a new phone. It you still have the problem it is a hardware failure. -

After update to 11.3 I have no bass sound in subwoofer in Firefox browser (youtube). I uninstall the newest version and install previous (11.2) and bass plays ok.

My problem is summed up in this topic.
Updated Flash Player with 11.3 this morning (june 12th 2012) and since then my 7.1 Sound System works only 2.1. If i enable EAX Effects, works on 7.1 but since it`s just a room it sounds very odd.
I have no problem with sound on HTML 5 websites for that matter, Winamp, Video Players, games.
Uninstalled Flash Player, sounds work ok without it on different browsers, other than Chrome (since it has FP built in).
I hope for a sollution soon.

Untill there is a permanent solution, i found a way to deal with my issue and i hope it will help others.
I personally use Chrome and this is for this browser:
1. Type "about:plugins" w/o the quotation in the navigation bar.
2. On the upper right u will see "Details" click it then find the word "flash", and you will see something like this:
Flash (3 files) - Version: 11,3,300,257
Shockwave Flash 11.3 r300
Name: Shockwave Flash
Description: Shockwave Flash 11.3 r300
Version: 11,3,300,257
3. I say again, this worked for me on Chrome. The 3 files i have, two of them are Version 11,3,300,257 and one is 11.2.31.144
4. Simply disable the lates version 11.3 and enable the previous version 11.2
