Unbelievable - i want it fixed for free or a new laptop - dv2500 is an expensive paperweight
I have (had) a DV2500 laptop and like numerous other people have had nothing but problems with it. Starting with wifi problems, then sound card issues, then video card flickering all leading up to the death of the motherboard all caused by (so my computer guy says) a bad chip that HP knew was bad and continued to sell models containing it.
This is unbelievable that company can sell something knowing it is bad and expect to have no recourse for their business practices. I for one will never by another hp product due to the lack of respect the company has for its customers dealing with problem

I have this problem on my macbook pro. I live in Sault Ste marie, ON. I took it to Genius Bar at the Apple Retail Store at Eton Center Toronto. They said it cannot be fixed for free, It would cost me more than a grand. I scared & run aways. Haha.I think I should call & set up an appointment at apple third party service provider in my city. wish me luck
Ah, but there's this caveat:
Apple will continue to evaluate the repair data and will provide further repair extensions as needed.
And a number of folks have found sympathetic managers and had the 2008 logic boards replaced, even after four years.

my friend broke her ipod screen and she took it into apple and they fixed it for free so can i get my fixed for free.
If someone breaks part of their device (intentionally or otherwise) it is not covered by the 1 year warranty so I'm not sure why she would have had it fixed for free.
If you are interested in finding out repair pricing make an appointment with a Mac Genius at an Apple store or contact AppleCare via phone.

The bottom part of the screen is like bright it looks all weird i cant see annything in that part my ipod still has the 1 year warranty do u guys think i can get it fix for free or would i have to pay?
Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. If you iPod is defective, within warranty and not abused, Apple will exchange it at no cost. -
I just recently purchased an iphone 5s and today my speaker located at the rear end of my device is not sounding clearly, it sound muffed and blurry. Is there any way I could get a new one or get this fix for free?

Take it to the Apple Store where you purchased it from. It is still under warranty. They will replace it if necessary.

so I upgraded my ipod touch 4g- to the IOS 6 and after it downloaded, it turned off and try'd turning back on but it keeps turning off and on i cant reach the home screen, and sometimes the screens turns blue and after a fedw seconds it turn white.- (i have not jailbroken my ipod)- can i get this fixed for free?
yea i tried holding down power button and home at same time to reset but that doesent work, and when i plug the ipod into my computer it dosent show the device. so i cant connect it to itunes either.

My I-pod screen is cracked and my account says 'Repairs and Service Coverage: Active' does that mean I can get it fixed for free or replaced? the ipod is very usefull to me as it keeps my three younger brothers entertained for a few minutes or hours and yes I understand that the Ipod is not indestructible but when in my pocket with two euro coins, it should not break when I sit down.

I bought a new ipad,iphone and mac. all activated for the first time with the same apple id. i can download all iwork apps for free at that time because the devices were bought after iwork is free for "new" devices. later on i'm thinking of creating a new apple id, can i still download iwork apps for free with the new apple id on all my 3 devices?
Once they've been downloaded they can't be downloaded again using a different Apple ID.

Cable code isn't going to help what you need the the cable part number. Without this no one will be able to help you locate the cable. Also you should tells us the P/N that will insure someone can look into what the part is and also what is that cable for as there is no discription what it does or connects to.

If you go to this link you will be assured by Microsoft and Win7 "new" app checking and making sure that all drivers and software you have is compatible with Win7 64 bit. And in this article it states that Firefox version 3 IS compatible and designed for 64 bit OS, hm mm well as you know that is incorrect!! If it is too late for that before you do anything set up a backup process for the new one so when it crashes (note I said "when", not "if") you won't be faced with this problem again.
In lieu of that the apps already mentioned will help you get content off the phone if it was not purchased from iTunes. But it it WAS purchased from iTunes just connect the phone to your new computer, Authorize iTunes on the new computer and choose "Transfer Purchases" from the iTunes file menu. -
