Unblock phone and sim card from other country
im going to france and i have a verizon iphone 4s. Can it be unlocked? And can I buy a french sim card to use while im there?

You should call customer service and ask for the global support group. They can assist you in getting the iPhone 4S unlocked so you can use a local SIM card in France. You need to call them before your trip.

I think i got ripped off by this verizon store , I got the 4 line $140.00 edge plan, which I had to pay for the phone in monthly payment, i did the math it was 268.00 total.. At check out this guy charge me $50.00 care package for each phone and sim card which was $10.00 , $25.00 set up with TCP and he said the rest was tax. I had to pay $474.36.. my brother went to costco and did the same verizon deal he didn't have to pay anything...

Yeap, that's what I was afraid of. I have a valid card and a valid billing address, I just don't see why they're keeping people like me from using their service, and what the actual roadblock is in getting an iTunes Store for Serbia.

I need to know any problems I might have getting a SIM card in another country and swapping it w current card in my iPhones (4 and 5).
Need both phone and internet access while there. My carrier has no service (verizon)
Also assume all apps and data on phones will still work?The GSM section of your Verizon iPhone 5 is unlocked and will work with any nano-SIM card.
Not all iPhone features such as FaceTime, iMessage, visual voicemail, etc, may work if using a carrier that doesn't support iPhones. If using an unofficial carrier, you may need to enter APN settings to get cell data. LTE may not be compatable. -
Why can't I use a gift card from other country? :(
My friend bought me a gift card and sent it to me. I try to activate it but it say "can use only in that country"
That's mean it not activate in Thailand. Then we try to do the other way....by sent that app as a gift.
But still the same...because it was sent from other country :(
I think Apple brand is very popular for international. I would like to see it as an international thing.
By make it work or no limited for that.
Because when people want to send a good thing to their friends or family they will not worry about this point.

I have a new ipad mini with retina display, and cellular capability.
I've learned how to set up an account and use it in the US. I'm now traveling internationally and need to learn about changing the sim card.
My first question is about the notation under 'settings', Cellular Data, SIM PIN. Under SIM PIN, there is an option of turning on 'sim pin' and then entering a PIN to lock the SIM.
What does SIM PIN mean in the first place?
Where does the PIN number come from?

SusanFrancesA SIM PIN, also referred to sometimes as a PUK Code is like a PIN number for your SIM card (just like your ATM Card). Since your SIM card has your cellular account on it and can be typically removed from one device and put into another, you can lock the SIM Card with a SIM PIN if you choose. If you activate the SIM PIN feature and forget your SIM PIN when you try to re-activate your device or a new device in the future using the same SIM Card, you may have to contact you carrier to get a new SIM Card. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1316
As far as changing the SIM Cards out because you want to use a new carrier, you can remove the SIM card fomr the old carrier and put in the SIM card form the new carrier. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5163

I want to buy an iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G whilst in the USA.
I travel to Europe and south America and I have SIM's for Argentina, Sweden, Spain and London, as well as other countries.
I want to use these in iPad 2. Is it possible and how can this be done.
Also do I buy the at&t or the Verizon modle?

Account suspended earlier than expected and Sim cards.
I was supposed to have my account suspended/frozen for about a year while I live in a different country. It was originally set on August 4th then I asked them push it back to August 21st, they said they did but it ended suspended on the 4th anyway. How can I get in contact with someone about this?
Also I was also told by the same customer service representative that my phone unlocks with a the sim card from the country I'm staying is added. Is that true? Because I may get that right away if my phone is not going to work.

Yes all of the iPhone 5 family use the nano sim, so as long as you did not switch to a phone locked to another network it will work. But you do need to go through the activation/setup procedure with tHat sim.

Sorry... but... ONLY the US Carrier it is Locked to can unlock it.

I can't make or receive calls in my iPhone 5(just bought second hand and unlocked), but I am able to use 3G network. If I use the same SIM card in other phone it works fine. I have tried network resetting and restore.
I bought this cheap from an unknown persons. I have checked it is not in blacklist. And unlocked by apple.Those are all carrier features, so contact your cell phone provider.
